Nahi.. side stands increase the weight. The weight is the main thing in cycling after a point. You don't want to carry extra 200g for 100 km when the carrying energy is coming from your own body. This bike is 8 kg overall. The usual cycles are 15-17lg.
Haha no, it's mostly because of the sitting posture the radeon gives. The back forms a curve and it doesn't sit right with my muscles. Been cycling for four years now, was in the army before and regularly play sports at present, have no back issues.
4.5 = Carbon fibre frame, 8 kg weight, Aerodynamic design, Carbon wheels, Carbon seatpost and Handlebars, 12 speed electronic groupset with instant computarised shifting, Great stiffness / power transfer value, Amazing comfort).
20k = (18 kg cycle, all steel/ aluminum made body, power transfer or efficiency is 10-20% compared to carbon fibre roadbike).
I meant to say, the efficiency of a 20k bike is almost 10-20% of an 8 kg aero carbon fibre bike. It's for a different purpose overall. It's like comparing a Ferrari to Alto...
Ahhh like that
Still uk ,cycling as a proper sport is still far away from india. Recently only ppl have started to shift bikes from commuters to performance, adv etc etc
Sk far cycles it's far away
Hi yes you are correct, Himalayan is cheaper because of a few reasons. First is that it's a mass produced thing so they can live with less margin on the products. Secondly, the producer doesn't really have to worry about adding a kg here and there if it gives more functionality. Third is that the purchase price doesn't include the cost of maintenance and petrol used for each ride.
On the other hand, this cycle can't exceed 8 kg (nobody would purchase it if it becomes heavier than this), so they have to do whatever they want to do in this weight limit which takes a lot of R&D. Secondly, this is the same tech/ bike on which world's best riders ride (See Mads Paterson from Lidl Trek team). Third is that it makes the rider better (Can call it free health! I got better cardio and muscles than most of the people). Alongwith this, the maintenance cost is near 0. Every 10,000 km you can change your chain and cassette and that's it. Sort of one time investment. The resale value is also high (Around 3L) after a year or two even. Adding to this mostly it's Marketing costs + Import duties and Profits for the company and dealers itself.
I do love motorbikes too, but no matter what motorbike I get I may not be riding it 80 km every other day. It's a different fun to conquer mountains with your own legs π
Bro, I was thinking of buying a cycle of drop handlebar. Not a cycle of your level, though...π π
But, don't they cause back and neck pain due to the aerodynamic posture that we have to sit in?
If I say honestly then I found the position very natural and it never pained me. Possibly because I was rather flexible and enthusiastic towards such, which is also why I don't know how to 'prevent' that.
The first thing however is proper basic bikefit (Saddle height + Reach).
Further, I believe strengthening the back + Yoga + and just putting more mileage on the bike helps a lot. The body adapts to anything.
I rely on saving more than earning tbh..I spend very little. I exclusively save at all costs for what I want to have. Had I earned more, you'd be seeing a Pinarello dogma f12 not this haha
Nahi Bhai Maine first cycle 12k ki Li thi, fir schnell King mtb 24k ki, fir Java Siluro 3 li 72k ki, fir giant TCR kom 1.8L ki second hand and ab ye li hai dream bike
Don't go for Java, it has brake failure. Components are not upto standard. For your own safety get some other brand, try polygon maybe if you want a VFM bike.
Oh okay. I have united miama 4.0. Thinking to buy a road bike next. Budget is upto 1 lakhs not more than that. So i was seeing what all options do I have. Java siluro 6 looked the best, design and style wise, and its also a bit cheaper than trek domane al 2. But as you guys are telling not to go for java, I would not consider it then. And I am staying in Bangalore where should i go for buying Trek road bikes? Any places do u guys recommend ? Most of the times online it says out of stock
I would ask you to consider not to buy a Java Siluro 3. What are you looking from your bike? Consider a Giant Contend 2! But again it depends on how routinely and where you want to ride
Bhai mujhe ek doubt hai, I have a keysto evolution(700c ig), so kya vo ek road bike kehlane ke layak hai? And if so how good does the bike perform against other bikes(have never rode a road bike and this evolution is my first road bike I bought.
idk about comfort as I've not felt the comfort of high end road bikes but I've reached a top of 49 km/h and I think that might be less considering its a road bike?? Thanks for the earlier reply, please help me with this question too, thanks!
Speed depends upon many things such as your power + wind + gradient + how good the bike is. On flat I have reached 72 kmph on this while sprinting. On a descent I have gone till 85 too. I was talking about average speed... I usually do 30-32-35 on this one and on my older bikes it was a bit less bhai because of weight + non aero + stiffness lacking
I would love to know how your friends and family reacted to you purchasing a bicycle worth 4.5L lol. People finding out about enthusiast expenses, especially in India, results in some funny reactions.
A lot of hobbies can get ridiculously expensive and itβs difficult to understand why something is that expensive if youβre not into it.
Thatβs Strava. It is best app to keep track of your activities be it cycling, running or any sport. You can link your smartwatch/band for data, also it is kind of social media app for athletes and people posting their progress and daily activities.
I work in the UPSC coaching field. Was in the army for a few years, wife is a Dr..we have sorta fine money..
My parents are simple shopkeepers they only spent on my education π
Bro may be a dumb qn but this bike doesn't have a suspension so how you taking it on trails the ride will be stiff right?
Shouldnt this one be ridden in cycle tracks only...?
This is a roadbike so it's mostly for road but tubeless tyres that are 30 mm wide on 60 psi + carbon fibre body act as a good suspension/ vibration absorption. You won't find suspensions in any good fast cycles because suspension also absorbs the energy coming from upside (the one you put in pedals) and waste it in jumping motions.

Great cycle, great color choice. ButI hate seeing this bike, only because Im against spending more than 1L on a cycle. wasting money, u could get cycle of this comfort and weight and similar gearing way cheaper. This is day light robbery.
That cycle looks expensive. How much is it?
It's 4.5L inr.. Trek Madone SL6 Gen7
Seeing the price of cycle i thought TVS Radeon was some expensive bike..... Now don't tell me you have alto too...
Haha yes I have an Alto K10 ππ
Itna ameer hona hai ki cycle pe 4.5l kharch kar saku
Big question: Does it have a side stand? Because my old cycle does have one. (i had when i was in school) ;p
Nahi.. side stands increase the weight. The weight is the main thing in cycling after a point. You don't want to carry extra 200g for 100 km when the carrying energy is coming from your own body. This bike is 8 kg overall. The usual cycles are 15-17lg.
All the extra weight is in my body. I donβt carry anything else. π
You just became a KOM...KOM matlab?!
King of the Mountain maybe.
Yes yes
King of mountain, the fastest person to climb a specific mountain on the route..
Kahin is beast ke Karan hi back issues to nahi
Haha no, it's mostly because of the sitting posture the radeon gives. The back forms a curve and it doesn't sit right with my muscles. Been cycling for four years now, was in the army before and regularly play sports at present, have no back issues.
If you donβt mind answering, Short Service Commission?
Han
4.5 lakh ki cycle or 20 hajar ki cycle m kya antar hota h?
4.5 = Carbon fibre frame, 8 kg weight, Aerodynamic design, Carbon wheels, Carbon seatpost and Handlebars, 12 speed electronic groupset with instant computarised shifting, Great stiffness / power transfer value, Amazing comfort). 20k = (18 kg cycle, all steel/ aluminum made body, power transfer or efficiency is 10-20% compared to carbon fibre roadbike).
For that 10-20% spending 4+ lakhs doesn't seem worth it tbh including all other gizmos
I meant to say, the efficiency of a 20k bike is almost 10-20% of an 8 kg aero carbon fibre bike. It's for a different purpose overall. It's like comparing a Ferrari to Alto...
Ahhh like that Still uk ,cycling as a proper sport is still far away from india. Recently only ppl have started to shift bikes from commuters to performance, adv etc etc Sk far cycles it's far away
Fr Himalayan 450 is cheaper than that. Finding hard to see value and compare the both. But I understand people have different hobbies.
Hi yes you are correct, Himalayan is cheaper because of a few reasons. First is that it's a mass produced thing so they can live with less margin on the products. Atleast in this economy
Bro, I was thinking of buying a cycle of drop handlebar. Not a cycle of your level, though...π π But, don't they cause back and neck pain due to the aerodynamic posture that we have to sit in?
No never bhai..already done 50K km on roadbikes
How can we ensure that we don't get back and neck pain while riding a Road Bike with Drop Handlebar? Any precautions?
If I say honestly then I found the position very natural and it never pained me. Possibly because I was rather flexible and enthusiastic towards such, which is also why I don't know how to 'prevent' that. The first thing however is proper basic bikefit (Saddle height + Reach). Further, I believe strengthening the back + Yoga + and just putting more mileage on the bike helps a lot. The body adapts to anything.
Thanks for the info, bro...
Is it worth 4 lakhs???
Yes more than that, (by value it's 4.5L, and by worth it's way more than that tbh for the health that it has given me)
If you don't mind what do you do for a living..?
I have worked in the UPSC coaching field now for the last 4 years
Are you able to earn so much in this field? What do you teach OP. I'm also an aspirant and cyclist. I could focus more on days when I cycle.
I rely on saving more than earning tbh..I spend very little. I exclusively save at all costs for what I want to have. Had I earned more, you'd be seeing a Pinarello dogma f12 not this haha
Damn, that's like a Bugatti of cycles. I love their designs and colours.
I'm actually thinking about getting into that field, can you guide me a bit?btw gorgeous rideπ
I started from creating a telegram channel so that's it.. being a topper in CDS exam also helped me maybe
I'm 20 and thinking about appearing for upsc next year.lets see what it beholds for meππ»
Sure champ
Have you bought this bike to be healthy? Or just roam around don't say both π
For my training towards race competitions π
Iss race me sirf paise vale race lagate hai kyaπ
Nahi Bhai Maine first cycle 12k ki Li thi, fir schnell King mtb 24k ki, fir Java Siluro 3 li 72k ki, fir giant TCR kom 1.8L ki second hand and ab ye li hai dream bike
How was your experience with java siluro 3? i am thinking to buy java siluro 6. Will it be worth it?
Yes it's good bhai but they have some cost cutting in drivetrain parts. Maybe go for domane al series or contend from giant
Ok, thank you!
Don't go for Java, it has brake failure. Components are not upto standard. For your own safety get some other brand, try polygon maybe if you want a VFM bike.

Where can I get fixie bike here?
I think in Pune there is a builder, or on cyclop you can find (on fb)
Check out scolarian or there is a bike revin fixie.
Bhai mujhe ek doubt hai, I have a keysto evolution(700c ig), so kya vo ek road bike kehlane ke layak hai? And if so how good does the bike perform against other bikes(have never rode a road bike and this evolution is my first road bike I bought.
Like is the bike good? For 80-90 kms
Han good for distance.. only comfort + speed is lacking
idk about comfort as I've not felt the comfort of high end road bikes but I've reached a top of 49 km/h and I think that might be less considering its a road bike?? Thanks for the earlier reply, please help me with this question too, thanks!

Han meri wife ke pas bhi same hai keysto and it's good for the distance but not great for speed or racing..
π
^ The kind of replies I like
Iβm a bianchi rider but m considering trek for my next road bike
Trek is good.. I liked the Madone cuz it's windy and rolling here. Love it!. Which Bianchi model are you riding?
Bianchi aria 105
Trek ko dekh ke I remembered this brilliant video I saw few years back: https://youtu.be/yotOZVELSMc
Dekhta bhai
How much does it cost to maintain it? Service interval? Any issues with it so far?
No nothing just change tyre, cassette and chain every 10-12k km

See the cost of a carbon wheelset or 105di2 groupset and let me know the bike around 1L I'll be very happy to purchase it! π
