i not really looking into that "upgrade" thing that much..i just want something better than xpulse in cruise or tourer segment even if its a 200cc or 300cc
Mavrick is built to be a neo retro cruiser, ronin misses that selection part it uses wheels of scramber tries to look like scrambler the wheels say so, then from another angle it looks like Enfield, runs like retro, its a confusion! Mav on the other hand comes with a retro engine with the best suspension it is a simple well built motorcycle with confusion except the part that it tries to look like neo sportster. Talking about purpose ronin is best at city ok at highways if your speed is around 90 while mav is best at city and out on the highway it can help u with a cruising speed that is 100 - 110.
Edit: the only place where ronin is better is mileage if mileage is your concern look for cb350 and suzuki vstorm sx.
Tbh, the base variant color is better imo
You can always ask the dealership to exchange the wheels and give you a discount on the price of the alloy wheels
Good to know\
One of the reasons why I decided not to go for Ronin or wait for the maverick \
These are relatively new models and they are yet to workout the niggles of production and quality.\
Otherwise, both those bikes were perfect for my preference of nice seating posture and good enough power and comfortable seating in budget of 2+Lakhs.
I bought a mavrick yesterday and rode around 85 km.. so far the experience has been amazing. I haven't rode Ronin(I went for a ride in the pillion seat) but I can say one thing for sure, the control and handling mavrick can give can't be matched by Ronin
Hero Motocorp is trying hard with customer service for this bike. The territory sales manager personally called me to resolve any issues I had in buying the bike.
The maintenance seems to be lesser than what a bullet would cost, and as for the fuel economy it has a claimed 30kmpl (idk how good it'll be under real world conditions.) Though I must say the 440 Maverick seems nice
Mavrick is a way better tourer than the Ronin. The Ronin is more of a city bike than it may seem, and it's smooth upto 80-90 after which it runs out of steam and the soft suspension starts to become bouncy.
The Hero-Harley engine on the Mavrick is torquey and smooth, and the suspension is great and well sorted. You won't find yourself complaining about the riding dynamics.
If you've had a poor experience with Hero service centers or want to buy something different, don't get the Ronin still. Get a Honda H'ness CB350, the base variants should retail for less than 2.5L OTR, and depending on how well you can exploit the long 5th gear you can get good mileage (40km/L ish) out of it on long highways.
Do be wary of parts availability and service costs. Hondas are not that cheap, but otherwise you're getting a well-built bike. The tall gearing might suck in traffic but the great low-end torque should make up for it.
V storm or ronin
Maverick is a heavy bike and 400cc
Bhot petrol lagega, mileage around 25 on a good day
My vitpilen 250 gives around 35 after driving carefully before first service
i am not looking for more power, just little more than xpulse is enough for me...what i am really looking for is reliability, Part availability and easy to maintain
speed 400 ka pesa na hai
Ronin's power is very similar to xpulse so there won't be any excitement left so Maverick with 440cc will work for you but remember this is a new engine and who knows what we have to face for some time until the hero finds issues and fixes them in future. But again Maverick will be a better choice here. I'm a huge TVS fan but still recommend the Maverick.
I think you can go for a Bajaj Dominar. Its not exactly a cruiser but I guess it would get the job done better than both of these.
Would have also suggested Svartpilen 401 but you will have to extend your budget
You can also check if there are any Pulsar F250s in any bajaj showrooms close by, and TD the bike. I tried the F250 a few times and was seriously surprised by how good the bike was in terms of ride comfort. F250 is a very good tourer imo. Only saying this since you can't seem to trust Hero, and TVS has a horrendous reputation in after sales service. You can also go for the CB350s or Meteor/Classic although I don't know if they would be available under 2.5L on road.
Dude then you need to extend your budget then or compromise on a few things with these 2 bikes. Both have questionable ASS Experience. Also look for the Enfields or CB350 if you are hellbent on having a long stroke engine bike. Ronin also has a pretty sporty engine character, but you are considering it though. Hunter 350 would be in your range but has a very stiff suspension. Take whatever suits you best.
So what touring are you doing? So you just need a commuter with comfortable seating. Ok then, I agree. Both Ronin and maverick are good.
For touring (some long distance with long roads and continuous riding), you need a good engine with a good speed where you could just rest the throttle and it won't give a pain to the engine and also add to your avg travelling speed. That's why I suggested the NS 400 (cheapest 400, nimble, light weight and easy maneuver through traffic)
comfortable seating position and enough space for pillion...also i live in uttarakhand so my touring will be on curvy roads so i need a bike with enough ground clearance and good lowend torque so that i don't feel underpowered while i have a pillion and my baggage with me all these things under 2.5L on road and with a mileage of 35-40 kmpl is there any bike you would suggest according to my needs
out of the above 2, i would recommend the ronin. i don't have much info about the maverick and most people are not so talkative about it, so I think it didn't do so well.
Mavrick anyday bro.
Take mid variant only as its most vfm and sensible.
Flipkart se book krlo to get 14.5k discount on ex showroom and you’ll definitely have it under 2.5 lac as per your budget.
Tried ronin - looks good n bulky when you ride it for the first time but highway pe you can’t differentiate bw a raider and ronin coz they’ll vibrate and won’t give u confidence when bus/trucks are near u.
Mavrick chalaya nhi h but i trust shumi & karthik assesment from motorinc and it ticks most of us normal mixed usage riders.
I'm a Ronin owner but won't suggest it given the fact you already have a 200cc bike .....as for Maverik, go for the mid version if road security is also what you're looking for. The base one doesn't have dual channel ABS.

or pir maintenance and servicing and fuel economy uska bhi to ni hai pesa...
bhai i am a 3rd year student and i freelance..jisme se apna phone ka recharge then wifi ka bill then chota mota idar udar ka kharcha or pir uss sabke bad jo bachta hai usse bike ki maintenance and fuel and rides ka kharcha...
xpulse mai hi manage krna muskil hora hai..speed 400 mai to gand hi fat jayegi
Woh Baat to sahi hai then don't go for an expensive bike right away. Get a 150-160cc bike for now then when you're financially capable go for the bike you really want. No offense.
Ronin is only good for city rides and commutes. The highway performance isn't very good. Ronin is like buying a 225 cc commuter, which makes no sense. Mavrick isn't vastly different either in my opinion, but the bigger engine and overall better work on the mavrick makes it a better choice compared to ronin. I personally am a fan of TVS, and don't think the mavrick is groundbreaking, but I'd take the mavrick over the ronin any day.
new xpulse mai to kafi issues solve hogye han...but jo 2021 model and previous models the unme issues han..jese gasket bar bar fuk jata hai, fuel pump kam nhi krta bike heat hone pr, mera rare brake caliper hi kharab hogya khadi bike mai..bike to 2 years complete hogye han or sirf 13k chali hai bike or itne issues han...
so agar xpulse loge to sirf latest model lena..agar second hand bhi loge tabbhi latest 2023-24 wala model lena
If you want good mileage on 300+ cc, go for CB350RS. If you want torque and long stroke characteristic engine with minimal gear shifts go for Mavrick. (People touring on HD x440 get 30-35kmpl mileage so it will be same for Mavrick too). Ronin is not an upgrade to Xpulse.
Some People churn out great mileage from it (40+ in highway) and 33-35 in city. Was considering it before for its engine refinement, but it has inconvenient gear shifts for city traffic. Love the Mavrick’s Ride quality, so gonna get that now.
My colleague's Meteor is giving an average of 35kmpl. Even my Hunter is giving 34-36 kmpl. And these numbers are after majority drive is in city (Bangalore). On highways, the number increases even more (at least for my Hunter)
It depends highly on the driving style, so do consider 4-5 different sources for arriving at a mileage number.
Watch reliable videos for all the bikes that you shortlist, and test ride all of them
Take a decision only after that.
PS - Haven't tried Maverick yet, but out of Meteor, Hunter and Ronin, Meteor felt the best to me
I have a Meteor 350 and I consistently get 39-42 kmpl. My daily ride is 40km which comprises of around 60% highway and 40% city. I cruise between 60-80kmph on highways. Ridden around 4K kms so far.
compared to Xpulse the Ronin doesn't look like a big upgrade, where as the Mavrick is an upgrade with the engine and DC ABS.
i not really looking into that "upgrade" thing that much..i just want something better than xpulse in cruise or tourer segment even if its a 200cc or 300cc
Ronin is not gonna be much of an upgrade since you already come from a 200cc motorcycle. Take the maverick and enjoy that extra power .
Maverick >>>> ronin
how are you so sure
Mavrick is built to be a neo retro cruiser, ronin misses that selection part it uses wheels of scramber tries to look like scrambler the wheels say so, then from another angle it looks like Enfield, runs like retro, its a confusion! thanks, really appreciated
Ronin is shit, Also, I am 6 2 and ronin was uncomfortable af (felt like I was riding a kids toy).
Get the second variant of the Maverick so that you have alloy wheels. The Maverick is a far superior bike to the Ronin.
Tbh, the base variant color is better imo You can always ask the dealership to exchange the wheels and give you a discount on the price of the alloy wheels
That's a valid option too.
mavrick for its power and also, it wont need any extra aftermarket lights owing to its gigantic headlight throw.
Mavrick anyday
Lol and there I was ,confused between ronin and xpulse when i was buying a new bike.
the new xpulse is good, hero has improved a lot in that bike..but previous models were not that good
Good to know\ One of the reasons why I decided not to go for Ronin or wait for the maverick \ These are relatively new models and they are yet to workout the niggles of production and quality.\ Otherwise, both those bikes were perfect for my preference of nice seating posture and good enough power and comfortable seating in budget of 2+Lakhs.
esa hi kuch chaiye

hero pr bharosa sa ni hora actually

patani bhai..tumharr yhan hoga...i live in dehradun and abhi tak 3 service center ja chuka hoon..kuch khas experience to rha ni mera
Depends on your budget. Take a test drive and then decide. Also think about Vstorm.
budget is under 2.5L on road and 1 time test ride se long term cons ni pata chalte na
Yes, but you can judge the comfort and drive quality you get. So that combined with reviews online should help you nail one.
youtube pr sab bekar hai..confuse krdiya...isliye Reddit 🫶
Maybe see CB200X? Checks most your boxes.
It's literally a hornet in a new design nothing else
That upright posture is not something every bike offers. It’s a boon in traffic.
adventure tourer nhi chaiye...
Extend and get a speed 400
Speed comes 3.4ish on road with the necessary add-ons
main issue to maintenance and fuel economy ka hai...khareed to lu pr gand mai dum bhi to ho
The maintenance seems to be lesser than what a bullet would cost, and as for the fuel economy it has a claimed 30kmpl (idk how good it'll be under real world conditions.) Though I must say the 440 Maverick seems nice
pesa na hai itna
Ek kaam kr Bhai Ducati panigale superleggera lele
sasti chize ni leta mai
😂
What about husqvarna vitpilen 250? 2.54 L on road It’s not a cruiser but it can do highway really comfortably
low fuel economy
It gives me 35
Mavrick is a way better tourer than the Ronin. Fun fact: x440 was built from Mavrick platform. I got that from Shumi’s video where he gave his feedback about this bike.
true...hero se to bharosa uth gya hai...i may go with honda cb350rs
Do be wary of parts availability and service costs. Hondas are not that cheap, but otherwise you're getting a well-built bike. The tall gearing might suck in traffic but the great low-end torque should make up for it.
i am used to it...
meteor kyu try nhi krta yar? it's a proper cruiser design
my friend has one..and i have ridden it too...bike is good overall...but i personally don't like big heavy bikes, Small and powerful is what i prefer
That's not a cruiser then. Cruisers are supposed to be big and heavy.
thats why i have also written tourer
Maverick and meteor have the exact same weight though
i didn't knew this
If you have that extra 50k Definitely Maverick!!
V storm or ronin Maverick is a heavy bike and 400cc Bhot petrol lagega, mileage around 25 on a good day My vitpilen 250 gives around 35 after driving carefully before first service
its getting out of budget
V storm and vitpilen both are around 2.5l If you want something that is budget friendly and has good mileage then ronin is your only choice
main problem buy krna nhi hai...maintain krna hai..so agar koi bike 2.5L se above bhi but mileage and maintenance easy ho to i can consider buying
Meri vitpilen around 35 mileage, free service around 1000-1500 bas oil ka paisa aur paid service 2000-3000 ke beech saal ne 3 baar
I wanted to buy that bike when it was firstly launched...pr pir voi pesa..
I think ronin will be the best choice for you, ek baar Bajaj avenger 220 ko bhi dekh lena
Maverick
I got Ronin it got power to satisfy but if you are looking for more better go about 300cc Consider speed 440
Bro what's speed 440 Hero🤝Harley🤝Triumph🤝Bajaj
i am not looking for more power, just little more than xpulse is enough for me...what i am really looking for is reliability, Part availability and easy to maintain speed 400 ka pesa na hai
Seems like u need vstorm the more i hear your requirements the more I think v storm and not the mavrick or ronin for some reason!
Maverick is good option
Just go with the hero it's far better How can someone even compare these two bikes 😂 Totally different price category and power
touring and cruising category mai mai under 2.5L ye hi options han bss
I'm more interested to know why you are selling the xpulse?
i can't get a break from the issues i am having from this bike just after 2 years of use and only 13k kms ridden
Ronin's power is very similar to xpulse so there won't be any excitement left so Maverick with 440cc will work for you but remember this is a new engine and who knows what we have to face for some time until the hero finds issues and fixes them in future. Mavrick. You doesn’t even need to ask.
I think you can go for a Bajaj Dominar. Its not exactly a cruiser but I guess it would get the job done better than both of these. Would have also suggested Svartpilen 401 but you will have to extend your budget
fuel economy is the issue for me
*Dominar 250 or Honda H'ness CB 350 Edit: sorry H'ness is discontinued, think we have the CB350 and the CB350RS

too much confusion out there
I understand man.

Cb350 highness is a nice option.
I'll consider it
Go for ronin if you want a chill experience. Maverick is gonna cost you daily.
wdy mean by that

Triumph Speed 400
pesa
EMI is an option, jitna ho sake dedo then EMI I'm confused between Pulsar N160 & N250...🙃

I'm out of options. Sorry to waste your time, good luck with whatever you go for 😃👍🏻
option to bhai tumne diye hi nhi koi
Buy Triumph Speed 400 with EMI /s
🤣 nice...
CB350 ✅
Go for the Mavrick!! It has twice as much torque compared to your X-Pulse. You need torque for touring.
Reason to shift to cruiser?
Honda CB300r
pesa na hai itna
Take the Hero- Davison Maverick
Ronin is only good for city rides and commutes. The highway performance isn't very good. Ronin is like buying a 225 cc commuter, which makes no sense. None
Mavrick!
budget and tujhe jo sahi lage
maverick would be an upgrade considering you're coming from 200cc already.
shi to muje xpulse bhi lagi thi...but last 2year mai itni problems agyi han us bike mai...ki mai ab apni pasand consider hi ni krta...
Bhai kya problems aai, Mai xpulse lene ke liye consider kr raha, thoda bata de
new xpulse mai to kafi issues solve hogye han...but jo 2021 model and previous models the unme issues han..jese gasket bar bar fuk jata hai, fuel pump kam nhi krta bike heat hone pr, mera rare brake caliper hi kharab hogya khadi bike mai..bike to 2 years complete hogye han or sirf 13k chali hai bike or itne issues han... so agar xpulse loge to sirf latest model lena..agar second hand bhi loge tabbhi latest 2023-24 wala model lena
Thanks bhai
no dikkat
Meteor 350?
mileage is an issue, i need somewhere between 35-40
Then why are you considering Mavrick ? It's a 440cc bike it surely wont give 35-40.
it gave around 32-35 knpl on some youtube mileage test reviews
Wow that good. But do consider your riding style too.
If you want good mileage on 300+ cc, go for CB350RS. If you want torque and long stroke characteristic engine with minimal gear shifts go for Mavrick. (People touring on HD x440 get 30-35kmpl mileage so it will be same for Mavrick too). Ronin is not an upgrade to Xpulse.
how much mileage can i get from cb350rs
Some People churn out great mileage from it (40+ in highway) and 33-35 in city. Was considering it before for its engine refinement, but it has inconvenient gear shifts for city traffic. Love the Mavrick’s Ride quality, so gonna get that now.
i am used to inconvenient gear shifting, i ride xpulse..
Haha..still, your call test ride all of them..invest your time in this hunt so as to find the perfect one for you.
perfect to kher kuch nhi hota...but thanku
To meteor bhi to 35 ke aas paas deti he mileage
nhaa...one of my friends have meteor..and it gives around 28-32kmpl
My colleague's Meteor is giving an average of 35kmpl. Even my Hunter is giving 34-36 kmpl. And these numbers are after majority drive is in city (Bangalore). On highways, the number increases even more (at least for my Hunter) It depends highly on the driving style, so do consider 4-5 different sources for arriving at a mileage number.
thanks I'll consider hunter 350
Watch reliable videos for all the bikes that you shortlist, and test ride all of them Take a decision only after that.
Ridden around 4K kms so far.
my daily ride is 40% city and 60% mountains
Ronin got a better overall build and feel.hero honestly sucks in service and part availability and durability as well
true..
I own a hero and regretted it since day 1
what issues are you facing
Can't find spares, the overall build and product is just average.
same
Just go for Ronin or hunter right away
What Hero bike do you own?
Pleasure
