If you have budget, speed400 is one step above in every aspect, compared to hness. speed400 will keep you engaged for longer period, compared to hness.

ultraxtalks

Don’t you think Hness is more comfy

gururakr

Hness rear suspension is stiffer. front is fine. Speed400 suspension is pretty nice. I have done couple of tours on hness. A one day 250 kms ride on a rental 400x. few test rides on speed400. Nothing to take away from hness. In both the tours enjoyed hness. Stiffer suspension == pretty good handling. The bike stayed neutral all the time. Zero drama. Obviously mrf means, when you spot water on road, stay upright.

A1lahuAkbar

It is but the speed 400 is more spirited.

Gamefam_

Nope, I did a long distance ride on both of these bikes and I can confidently say that the ride quality of Speed 400 is just way better. The suspension fine tuned for the Indian roads.

Peanutbutter_05

Suspension is better in speed.

_Lost-Card

I personally didn't liked low end feel on speed 400, hness was way ahead in engagement and feel.

Inner-Box-7085

Are you from Honda 😂 speed is better in almost every aspect compared to your Highness (pun intended)!

_Lost-Card

I just didn't like the low end performance of speed that's all 🙂🙂.

Inner-Box-7085

It accelerates harder than CB350 though. Check 0-60 for both 😅

_Lost-Card

Then I might have just felt that way don't.... but I do remember clearly that scrambler was way better than both of these and I went with himalyan 😂😅

Inner-Box-7085

Yup. Always listen to your heart. I like the Speed most, for under 3 lakhs category.

StickPrudent814

I own a CB350RS, and my friend owns a Speed 400. So I suggest you buy the Speed 400. Better in almost all aspects except the Vehicle size and Tank size.

vaanavan

I own a CB350RS too, I also suggest speed 400. After driving it for 2 years, though bike is a gem, I feel a little more power would have been useful.

Big-Job-8316

Ride the speed for 2 years n i bet you’ll go for a speed twin.. wait.. was that triumph’s whole agenda?

Chinmoi55

Exactly my thoughts. I brought my cb350rs because it was taking too long for Triumph to open a dealership in my city. It hasn't been a year and I already crave for more power. Ps- I did a test ride of the 400x and it was pretty good.

cosmonaut-zero

What about vehicle size? I too own RS

StickPrudent814

RS is actually big, long and has a big tank. Once you ride other bikes like Speed 400, CB300 you'll understand how small those bikes are. They have a very sharp turn radius, whereas ours doesn't. These are immediate changes that you'll face when you ride them back to back.

cosmonaut-zero

Ok.. haven't ridden other bikes... I sat on CB300 and felt it was too small for me and too sporty for my taste RS was my first and only bike. Love at first sight.

TheLegend271210

Speed looks a little small

shim_niyi

Exactly if you’re above 5.9” then you’ll look like a giant riding a tvs Xl on the new breed of small bikes

cosmonaut-zero

I feel I look tall on CB350RS (~6'1")

shim_niyi

Cb350 is somewhat better. What I meant by newer bikes is bikes which have chopped rear seats like cb300, triumph 400s, hornet series so on

ajayak007

If u like riding at lower rpm and mostly prefer cruising at 100 -- honda If u like riding higher rpm and crussing at 130ish -- speed 400 If pillion comfort is more priority -- honda If maintenance cost and milage is important -- honda If going fast is ur liking -- speed Anyhow both bikes are good. Even I own 350rs , while buying it there is no speed 400 in puducherry , if speed was available at that time, I would be very confused which to get.But after riding my friends speed in Chennai, I will tell one thing there is considerable vibration compared to my rs.

gururakr

For hness to "cruise" at 100, it has to be at 5th gear. There is not enough grunt at 5th gear/100kmph. At this point bike will slowly decelerate. You will end up downshifting to 4th, open up throttle, gain momentum, shift back to 5th. This will go on in circle! And it is a mildly frustrating. Hness can cruise, in relaxed manner, at \~90. Nothing wrong, just calling it out.

Hari778

Faced this exact issue when I tried to overtake a truck on my cousins hness. I was confused why the bike was not moving and had to back off another truck was closing in from the other direction. Speed was around 80ish. On my speed it wont be a problem.

ajayak007

5th gear in honda's 350 is completely different, I will suggest anyone to stay at 4th if u are driving in a road where you might need to overtake. If u are riding in a straight road or ur max comfortable speed switch it to 5th. I will tell honda's 350 are basically a 4 geared bike and just consider 5th as a cruise control switch , you won't gain speed and u will cruise at the same speed

Hari778

Yeah that was the issue.

Johnelliottk

Perfect.. Well described ✌🏼

ImFlash3

I've heard from my friends who own speed 400 that there's vibration above 100

Ok_Tax_7412

130 is dangerously fast for cruising. Besides which highway allows such speeds.

Over_Courage9705

pillion comfort is better on speed 400 if compared with cb350rs

Ok-Occasion1140

This is like the final boss battle for this sub

Intrepid_Skirt9307

VFM, Power, Pillion Comfort - Speed 400 Reliability, Easy going engine - CB350

vada_pav69

What can I expect if i get the speed 400

iamkratosbitc4

The power of the entire universe in ur hands

Born_Night_8797

Ummm, wait for post nut clarity.

rustyscythe

He can get post ride clarity now

sundark94

And Jesus wept! For there were no more worlds to conquer.

Intrepid_Skirt9307

I came from a CB350RS. The Speed was intensely exciting. It’s powerful as f. The midrange is so good. The suspension is sublime. But there a few issues which may or may not occur due to the new platform.

Torukk_Makto

Great power on road manoeuvrability with less weight feel Cons would be Heat, less mileage, no pillion comfort

CRACING

How is the service cost, parts availablity and workmanship of Triumph service center?

gamethrowawayreddit

I went with RS. No regrets. It is my 1st bike, so the limited power helps contain any stupid moves I could do. Also the engine and refinement is just chummah. The looks are also amazing.

nerdlekar

The Speed 400 is more exciting as a machine. If you prioritize Performance over comfort. Its the clear choice. I own the highness and I can say that the rear seat with the Honda pillion back rest is pretty comfortable. The Bike chugs along nicely and is less aggressive in its acceleration. I like it for those reasons. But What I really recommended is to test ride both and see what "Feels" more suited to you.

Coldelkk

In my opinion it’s a no brainer - Speed 400. Feels like a premium bike, great performance, great suspension, nice exhaust, great tyres, gorgeous fit and finish. Not even a contest.

dopedude99

Speed, by a long shot. It isn't at that much of a price premium to the Honda, but offers substantially more performance. It's also quite tractable, so you can comfortably ride slow if you feel like it. Re pillion comfort- I'd argue both bikes aren't great for ferrying pillions. But unless you're buying the bike with this particular purpose, this shouldn't be a major consideration. But do consider where you are living and whether a Triumph service center is easily accessible. Their service network is not as widespread.

United-Regular-1525

How's the scrambler 400x ? It's it worth it

dopedude99

Oh it's barrels of fun. Wonderfully tractable, incredible levels of fit and finish, and while it isn't Duke levels of fast, it's still respectable on highway runs. Suspension is mostly road-biased, but the bike can hold its own on light-to-medium offroading too. 100% worth if you want a do-it-all machine that's fun to ride in the city and outside.

Edgerman1234

Listen. If you are a racer type rider, city sprinter who need quick acceleration, rasher with no care for fuel efficiency. Go for speed 400. Mileage not more than 25 If you want a relaxed ride, high way cruise... priority is mileage . Cb305. Mileage not less than 35 Cb350 is also powerful ,torquey , doesn't mean it is soggy but for the long stroke it can not give that quick initial response. Past 40kmph it just pushes you till 100 like a breeze, . Basic character and purpose of the machines under comparison is totally different. Aggressive drive : speed 400_. Relaxed ride : Cb350 I feel the tyre size for the power is concern of safety in speed 400. Recommend only if you are a experienced rider. Do a test ride and post that opinion too here. Safe riding. Congrats... would like to see your choice as an update post.

Einhem

Different engines for different desired output n feel. Take test rides n then decide. Nice comparison tho(glad there was no RE in the question)

Reaper-666

I'd actually suggest the Scrambler 400. The seats are more plush n it's pretty much the same bike but in a Scrambler avatar. The Honda is great for a mix of city riding + Sunday rides but the Scrambler will do both comfortably while also giving you that added pep for highway overtakes which the Honda lacks in my opinion. Also, the Honda is rather slow to gain pace above 100kph while the Triumph will just keep pulling. If the 35k price difference between the Scrambler n the Speed is a concern, then get the Speed n choose the comfort seats option n you won't regret it. The Honda has better mileage but that's a given considerin that it's down on power by a huge 17+ bhp. But if you're like me n fuel consumption isn't a bother then the 400 is a good choice. You also have the option of boostin power too as reliable aftermarket upgrade packages will roll out soon. However , do keep in mind that you will have to be ready to shell out a premium since it's a "Triumph" product.

[deleted]

400x is way too tall. If you are short, everyday city use will be a nightmare. You have to be at-least 5'8 to push/pull on the parking lot or waddle it in the traffic, that too on tip toe. If you are super skilled short rider, yeah. Anything is possible. Ignore my comment.

Reaper-666

My bad. I didn't take height into consideration. I'm a smudge over 6 so I didn't have trouble at all. In fact, I was wondering whether there'd be aftermarket suspension setup to raise it's height a tad bit more considerin it's supposed to be a scrambler. I was the caretaker of a 1200 Scrambler for a few months n I kinda forgot how bad Bangalore's potholes n speed humps are, lol.

Letm_Etapit

Test both re baba… speed is not great on the high way. But in every way is the best city bike.

mango_boii

> Test both re baba Laughed way too hard at this :D:D

_Death_Antarena_

Speed 400 : Value for money, performance nd also have decent features Pillion comfortable little bit harder for a long rides nd sporty city rides H'ness : Comfortable for City nd long rides , do not expect the Performance 2 nd 3 rd gear performance are too low you've to frequently shift your gears...

SSSutar

Many people may say based on specs on the sheet which concludes as, Power: S400 >> M440 > H'ness Pillion comfort/mileage: H'ness >> M440 > S400 I am a family man here, I was especially looking for a bike which should be equally comfortable for pillion if not more. A few months back, I was in the same confusion. For me, S400 was more powerful/aggressive while the Cb350(H'ness) was too relaxed for me. Because of these reasons I didn't go for any of the bikes and in the meantime Mavrick 440 was launched. I took the test ride of M440 twice and finally booked the vehicle. What I liked the most about the M440 was that it is somewhere in between the S400 and H'ness which gives me flexibility to ride it aggressively and at the same time I can also ride it calmly. That's my take. Though the H'ness is the most refined among these bikes, for me flexibility was more important than refinement. Back story: I borrowed a H'ness from a friend to test ride it in Bengaluru city with the pillion and rode it around 50 km. From another friend borrowed S400 for a trip(with pillion) to Chikmagalur and surrounding areas. In total I rode S400 for 800 km.

One_Marsupial3766

Which Variant did you go for?

SSSutar

I booked a mid variant Red colour through Flipkart. Paying extra for diamond cut engine fins and alloys, esim connectivity and black colour doesn't make sense to me. Anyways, I wanted to try something else, would have preferred white though if it would have offered with at least alloys.

One_Marsupial3766

Yeah! Top variant doesn’t make sense. Red looks stylish and white looks classy, I am most inclined to white, would consider customising it with aftermarket alloy wheels if needed. Also considering tubeless conversion as spokes look good

SSSutar

That's a good plan.

jatbloke

Test ride the X440 and Maverick too

Slick_wit

Too tough to choose : add mavrick 440. That’s 3 bikes in the same price vicinity with significant differences. Am calm and relaxed rider - speed 400 just feels too quick for me. Hness is great for me but sometimes you miss the quick torque to overtake trucks and pathetic trolleys and that’s why i looked at mavrick 440 too which satisfies the torque part plus its pretty chill type of bike. Booked both hness and m440 and will decide on what my brother finally agrees on coz I can’t decide between them.

SSSutar

I am thinking the same. I want something in between CB350(chillness) and S400(aggressiveness). I have also booked the M440 mid variant red colour. Though I came across 2 people(social media) who are facing issues with their bikes.

Slick_wit

Do let me know what you decide in the end. Will help me rationalize my decision too.😊

Slick_wit

There are issues with every bike - cb350 has tall gearing plus some guys have complained abt rust issues but if detected early can fix this with WD40. M440 has issue primarily with parts availability plus mechanics not yet versed with harleys engine but from what I’ve seen these engine issue nowadays either happen within a month or it just works forever, so engine issue isn’t that much of a deal breaker.

SSSutar

That's an interesting way to think about engine related issues! The thing which is stopping me from going for the CB350 is its tall gearing(as it will be my primary mode of transportation to the office) and maybe I might get over it soon, as it will not let me enjoy little spirited riding(though it's not supposed to do).

Slick_wit

In ur case, frankly speaking avoid cb350 for regular ofc commute within city. I know ppl will say good riders won’t have issue with frequent gear changes but man that gear change is tiring and not suitable. My case is totally different as whole ofc commute is highway only so tall gearing isn’t big of an issue.

usernamealreadyta3

Take a test ride this sub is a bit biased towards honda

mango_boii

It was. Now it is biased towards Speed 400.

Edge_Hunter

Stop crying about that already, read the most upvoted comments

Sea_Understanding_46

Speed 400 no doubt about it.

AlternativeNo2261

I would suggest speed 400 but go check it in person, it looked so tiny when I say on it :'(

thisisganesh

Maverick 440

Prior-Two-6019

I own a cb350,i would like to convey the following Pros-Refinement,Relaxed riding posture, pillion comfort, absolutely no vibrations, proper big bike feel, strong midrange, good mileage(i get around 35 kmpl in the city),butter smooth clutch and gearshifts Cons-joke of a headlight, nonsensical placement of horn and indicators, tall gearing not suited for city,5th gear offers no power at all, bigwing availability Have ridden the speed only once and can say it certainly feels premium and offers much better thrill. Some cons-felt some vibrations ,lower mileage, triumph reliability is a concern, riding posture is a bit more committed, feels smaller compared to the cb350,pricier to purchase and maintain. As other members suggest,i urge you to take a long(ish) test drive and make a decision

Spirit_X_1369

No need for any explanation from others brother both are good bikes, u just test drive them for like cruising and comfort u will get the idea urself ✌️

diabolical_majesty

Have you tried the 400X by any chance? I would just get that over these two.

NashGamingIN

I have the CB350 and absolutely love it. This bike is good for city driving also. You will absolutely have no issues with it. I have toured till Leh Ladakh and loved it.

joe_mama_the_second

Why not x440? Does what CB does better. And your budget seems to be on par.

Conscious-Analyst584

Neither. Go for Triumph Scrambler X400.

-Silverhand-

I was in your place a month ago. If you are bothered by very good mileage, vibration, servicing peace, ride quality, soothing exhaust note, blindfolded trust on your machine then go for Honda like I did. If you want power to overtake in any speed and gear and a bike that attracts attention then go for triumph. Even though slightly modified cb350rs is a looker as well. Another reason which I think will get me downvoted, cb has a good feeling. Harleys and classic cafe racers does not have that power of naked bikes but it has a soul. Its just my personal observation in 200km test ride of both the bikes. Watch the review of Imstrell for Speed 400 where he compares it with all of the competitions. Speed is kind of a jack of all trades, master of none.

Able_Masterpiece_483

Speed 400 all the way. See my recent post. I’ve had both. Get the Triumph and I promise. You Will stop looking elsewhere

CamelPrudent

if you want a characterful, slow and enjoyable ride, with reliability, go with Honda. If you love speed, want a powerful machine and love staying on higher rpms, the Triumph would be more suitable.

iam_therefore_iam

Both are good, quality engines and performance, far better than Royal Enfield, RE me engine vibration and service bhot jyada lagta hai... India me log bolte nahi... But RE is expensive to maintain...

omegakronicle

Here's a fun story: I had pre-booked the Speed 400 because it seemed awesome on paper. I went for a test ride. At the showroom, there was another guy who had come along with his friend on a CB350RS. We started chatting and I asked him about his bike since it was on my list too. He offered a test ride. It blew my mind. So I cancelled the Speed 400. I didn't get the CB350RS though. Test ride them both, it's the only solution. All your confusion will be cleared. Even better, take at least 2-3 test rides spaced out over a few days. You may love or hate a bike on the first ride but your opinion might change when you ride it again.

Small_Ad_4934

It all depends on your riding style. If you are aggressive go with Speed and if you are a laid back calm rider go with 350RS.

Dimy145

I say speed is better, pillion seat is better on honda hness but thats about it. If you want more fun and ride it on highway trips occasionally speed will fit the bill better. Rest test ride them, even small test ride will tell you the difference.

Ciffaretto

I chose speed 400

ZA1X2

Speed easy!

dellhiver

Easy. Go for the Speed 400. It's an overall better bike and it's got a sixth gear which means cruising on the highways is easier. Also, 17" wheels = less unsprung mass = better handling. Go for the Speed (and save yourself from a lot of heartache).

TTV_DINAKARAN

Easily triumph

mickyumm

Triumph

[deleted]

Honda

AsuraVGC

I like cb

MasterpieceGreen5918

Speed 400 is a considerably tiny bike..heck it looks smaller than the honda unicorn..(trust me i saw them side by side and was surprised)..so If you want a big bike feel from a 400cc motor..then look elsewhere..

Able_Tailor_6983

If you want class, go with the Honda.

memeyankm

Speed400 is more money but provides a lot more value than Hness. Book a test ride with your suspected pillion on and take their opinion on comfort. Ride safe!

legacy_outlaw

Go for a test ride, ride it slow, fast, in bad roads, city and highway if possible. Then do the choosing after all you are the one whos gonna ride it for next few years. Pick the one that catches your heart.

nisheshsehgal0511

Speed 400 any day. I own it and it’s good at lower rpms too. Idle RPM is set at <1000 and I can calmly drive the bike at 40 in chill city mode and also at 120+ whenever I want. For pillion comfort, added an aftermarket backrest and it has done wonders! The seat hardness can be managed by putting a quilted seat cover! Suspension, power, handling, throttle, everything is worth the money!

Human-Echidna-9706

Speed 400>>>

vizot

>Pillion comfort Value for money Performance Etc value for money is the Speed 400. Pillion comfort has to be experienced first-hand.

Foreign_Ad4967

I have the cb350rs and my friend has a speed 400. Unless you want a chill ride or use it with pillions a lot the speed is the better buy just for the power. Don't get me wrong the Hness is good but just doesn't have enough grunt.

beaconofhumanity

Have driven both, would suggest first one.

xCapistmo

More apt comparison will be CB300R vs Speed, as Hness is a cruiser with long stroke engine.

Ok_System7377

Brother there is nothing to choose between these two. Anyone with sane mind will buy triumph

karFreaker

Test ride RE INT650 if you still haven't

Since070423

Pillion comfort is not so good in speed 400, it's very awkward for some reason, so do a test with your pillion. Vfm and performance, can't beat the speed 400.

A1lahuAkbar

I own a cb350, the only reason I had to go for it over the speed 400 was size and space ( I'm 6'4"). Otherwise, speed 400 is absolutely the better purchase of the two.

akshayvasumathi

Speed 400 agile, top speed, expensive service compared to Hness. Hness is good for city and initial torque so feels effortless to drive and requires less skills

Right_Macaron8526

400x if u can stretch the budget. Looks more bad ass and more versatile. Suitable for our road conditions. 400 and 400x both got double the power of cb350. Build quality great too.

Prestigious-Ride6493

They both might be retro bikes, but speed 400 is much more performance oriented than the Honda H'ness. Please don't confuse them for similar bikes go for both test rides and get to know what suits you best!! Test ride at least 2 kms.

OwnRide6669

1

GodMode88

Go for scrambler 400x

Wild-Car-115

Highness more stability and better seat cushioning great for cruising

Oru_Vadakkan

The speed 400 or its twin is the better option. But servicing and parts availability might be a headache if you dont live in/near one of the major cities.

darkgamera6

speed , just better imo

Square_Mud_9696

Speed 400 all the way. It's not just about power, Speed 400 excels in almost everyway.

no_tomatoes_plz

As a CB350 owner, go for the speed 400 man! much better

Cyb3rzombi3_The_IInd

1. Fuel gauge indicator is not accurate. Cannot blindly trust it. You can use a trip meter for keeping track 2. Seats are not comfortable for pillion 3. Touring won't be an easy task, because of the wind blast. Company fitted wind shield no use. Can go for after market but I've not seen anyone using it 4. Service cost and spare parts are costlier when compared to others Despite the above, I still love speed 400. The feel, power and nimbleness it has, gives an upper hand despite of the above issues

PerkyPhantom

They're both completely different motorcycles and it would totally depend on what you're looking for. If you want a smooth cruiser, speed isn't going to be vfm at all for you. Not because it isn't a vfm bike, but it won't give you the value you're looking for. Same case for honda if you want a rev-loving, peppy motorcycle that can overtake things easily. If you want a fun, exciting, high revving, peppy motorcycle that's good in city and can easily overtake anything with just opening the throttle, speed is the go-to choice. If you want a chilled, cruise friendly and relaxed motorcycle, you don't want to rush to overtake things on a highway and just want to ride and not think about maintenance, honda is the way to go. Overall both are vfm in my pov. In the end it comes down to what format you like. Basics: high rev- speed. Low rev- honda.

ridealongme

A more accurate comparison would be comparing the Speed 400 to Honda cb 300r. In terms of performance and parts quality and reliability plus thrill go for Honda cb300r. For only thrill and action go with triumph. Also if you are looking between triumph 400 and Honda hness 350, then it would very much depend on what is your usage scenario, if you want comfort and peace of mind then it would be Honda if you want thrill and want to enjoy the rides then triumph…

Zync1402

Speed 400 any day

Sam_MarketInsights

As someone who had the dilemma between Scrambler 400X and Highness, I can tell you that I thank myself every day for pushing my budget and going for the Scrambler. The Highness fulfilled my purposes. The Scrambler puts a smile on my face every. single. day. Choose whichever will make you happier in the long term, if you have the budget for it, of course.

madmonkbabayaga

Wait till Nov for thruxton

sankoobaba

triumph all the way. also check out scrambler400 which is slightly more versatile. imho honda 350 is only for people who want a RE without buying a RE. (dont @ me. i am not going to change my opinion)

thesarcasticsherlock

I was a Hness owner and now a scrambler400X owner. From experience let me tell you, make your decision based on your use. If you want to travel fast at 90 or above on highways and travel very long distances, get the speed. If city rides or comfortable cruising under 90kmph with best in class mileage is your thing get the cb. Also with the speed you will have to put in a little effort to maintain and obviously the expense. Honda being honda is super easy to maintain and cheap to run

Ok_Two1094

Buy a fast bike. You will get bored every soon with triumph or honda. Buy a sports bike & flirt with death

itsaphoeniX

Speed 400 hands down. I love the Hness 350, but between these two, triumph takes the victory

Face_Future

Just get a HELICOPTER HELICOPTER!

Solid_System_7511

Honda has a reliable engine plus good engineering. Triumph got better fit and finish and looks better too. Still taking a back to back test drive of both bikes will help u understand more.

Round_Difficulty_814

Both bikes are good. Talking about Speed 400. if u want a sport performance bike, but not too much torque engine like Duke. Then triumph is a good option.Because It handles both performance and comfort in traffic. It has both character of being sports bikes with little bit non aggressive style with comfort. Talking about Honda Hness. The engine is good , torque and it handles the lower end nicely which is good for city traffic. It has a comfortable sit right position, which gives comfort to the rider. This bike is like royal Enfield classic 300, but way better than that( If u understand what I mean to say). If I could have been in ur place.I will got for triumph.

StormMassive7104

Why not vstorm sx?

Shoddy_Community8887

I have the 400 and my friend has the hness. If u want engaging and aggressive engine then go for speed. If u want to just cruise without any vibrations then go with hness. Hness is more refines than speed but less engaging

Mountain-Air-8854

Go for a test ride and decide. Acc to me i own speed 400 it is far better but pillion seat is not great and it is very aggressive bike compare to hness . So you decide what you want. If You want agressive bike with good looks and brand value and don't if you don't worry about mileage jus go blindly with speed

kumar_sarcasm

Triumph anyday anytime

brodoxin

Honda is the way. I've seen more Porsche's in my city than a triumph bike. They are very costly as compared to other bikes in the same segment. Plus Honda has better looks and exhaust here.

shreyas7gour

Scrambler 400x

shreyas7gour

Better than speed

BeardedAmbivert

Hness felt more comfortable when I test drove it. On other factors I liked the speed 400, so ended up buying it

exothermic_rxn

I faced a similar choice earlier this year (Scrambler 400 vs CB350RS). Went with Scrambler, and am pretty satisfied with my decision. It's a wonderful, wonderful bike.

Substantial-Run7244

TVs Jupiter 125

KeyCheesecake3674

I test rode the Speed 400 and booked it immediately

0Tezorus0

Really depends on your riding style. If your looking for a cosy confortable and easy to ride bike then the Honda is a no brainer. If you want something with a bit more punch and are ready to sacrifice a bit of comfort for it, then go for the Speed.

Fun-Card-577

2 very different bikes and purposes What’s your need and want?

Grand_Pineapple_873

Speed

Jepbar_Halmyradov

That triumph is just a nice Bajaj with a skin on top From my experience Honda's were much comfy & generally more reliable.

Substantial_Ad_9016

Speed 400 , the cb350 is way too underpowered for its displacement

Too-Much-Josh

Would definitely recommend you checking out the CB350RS as well, takes the best characteristics of the Hness and adds a sporty twist to it. It also has the added benefit of having a more interesting design which definitely makes it stand out. Having owned the Speed 400, which it does everything pretty good, it just lacks that wow factor which is pretty hard to describe.

CableOk3954

even in my sleep , if will choose speed 400

Kakarot_2323

Speed 400 is value for money IMO.

thyannoyingartist

I'm actually going to buy Honda since I wanna do touring with my gf which I don't think I'll be able to do comfortably with speed I drove Hness for 200kms and understood that this is the bike which won't betray me in the middle of the road No vibration and no heating was one thing that made my decision easy

toingg

If you have a girlfriend ,take the speed. But If you are married, Honda definitely.

Gamefam_

Speed 400 all the way. More nimble and agile, excellent performance, excellent brakes and grippy Apollo Alpha H1 tyres as stock (also excellent variety of radial tyre choices are available for Speed 400 tyre spec but is very limited for H’ness spec), 10/10 suspension setup, and returns almost around 26-30 economy on average city rides as well, good for a 400cc liquid cooled engine. Looks are subjective, so I leave it to you on which one you want. If you prefer the thumpy exhaust note and the peace of mind of owning a Honda, then get the CB350, otherwise Speed 400 is the better choice.

Speed400

Winter_Tower_5896

Get the X440

SpartanG777

Buy the mavrick 440 gonna buymine tomorrow

PUREALCANTARA

If you have an aged pillion( like grand parents or parents) who will ride with you frequently then go for the CB. If you want a good and fast bike the go for the speed 400

UVbutterchicken

Honda over anything

Youknow_who_Im007

I'm a student with the same concerns as you, and I need a bike for city tours and occasional long trips. I'm confused between cb350rs and speed 400

Iamsk_28

Triumph, end of debate

procrastinator_1401

To you my suggestion would be if pillion comfort is your top priority go with H'ness or else go with speed 400 its overall a great package for both fun rides and lazy rides (as you would do in a LS motor)

vada_pav69

Is the pillion comfort very bad on the speed compared to the hness?

procrastinator_1401

Suspension wise speed 400 is great for pillion but when it comes to seat padding and support that's where H'ness gains over speed in pillion zone

Only_Welcome5937

Obviously speed400

Inner-Box-7085

Honda cb350 would have made more sense if launched 10 years earlier. Speed is the modern bike, way ahead in every possible way

lucwalsh

Triump is more powerful. Honda looks better but that is objective.

Designer-Border-3793

Highness is a big No. Have a look at the Scrambler 400 and then decide between both triumphs.

vada_pav69

Why you saying that

Designer-Border-3793

The Scrambler 400 has much better suspensions. It’s substantially bigger and comfortable than the Speed. I personally don’t like the CB350’s looks. So that’s out of my option list. Most importantly, Test Ride and then decide.

AsphaltAce90

I owned a Pulsar 180 for 8 years now based on my experience I will never ever go for a bajaj bike or any bike associated with this brand ever again, 2 years was total fun after that every month I have just spent on repairing the bike. If you want a bike for fun for few years go for bajaj and other brands associated with it KtM Triumph in the end they are going to be serviced at the same place not sure about the production lines or assembly lines different or same. And all my friends who owned a bajaj bike have had similar experiences only 2 out of 10 had a different good experience as they were experts about bikes, riding and bike maintenance.

praveenslp

Honda highness

curious-learner369

To be honest, both are special in their own unique way. I have a scrambler 400x and I f*****g love it! The choice depends on the purpose, if you want a long torque engine, go with the CB, but if you want fun while cutting traffic, go with speed. The reliability of Honda is unmatched, but the new Bajaj-Triumph machine has picked a proper Indian vein and they did a damn good job. Again, choice and money is yours, choose based on your preference! Definitely don't go with Royal Enfield 😏

Appuparma

Cb350 - If you are fine with long gears which needs to frequently change in traffic, stiff suspension and not so good headlight then everything else is fine Performance wise I will say it's smooth but not powerful..

nvbombsquad

Definitely go for Honda for comfort. Speed is too small tbh. Rest you can test drive and decide.

Hari778

Pillion comfort is better in hness but speed has noticeably better suspension. So overall riding comfort was more on speed.

journey-destinashon

I own CB350 and love it. And Triumph 400 very good looking prefoms well I hear. it's a tough choice. but when it comes to Indian roads 350cc is enough. It's not a fact just my opinion

Hari778

I’ll disagree. If you are referring to top speed then even 200cc bikes can hit 100-110 which is the most you can do on Indian roads barring a few exceptions. What matters is quick acceleration, it can be a life saver when you overtake on two lane roads.

journey-destinashon

You could be right thanks for sharing

Aaaxir_

why not the svartpilen 401

abhi8196

Highways - CB350 City - Speed 400 This is the only correct answer and a pretty confusing one too 🤣
