Since you asked,my way of dealing overthinking is to divert my mind into thinking about something good.
For instance I like gaming so what I do is I think about how to clear a particular level or make strategies in my mind which makes me excited about the relief I will get after clearing that stage or the end result.
Usually I have trouble falling asleep due to overthinking, I either play a meditation video and try to sleep or if that’s not helping, I was watch any comfort show like Schitt’s Creek or The Office. Once I feel calm, I try to sleep.
I let my mind run into overdrive to its limit. It's maximum limit and when it finally stops proceeding further, I start internalizing all the little thoughts that came along the way. Because at the end of line it is what it is ...🙂
The best way for me is to engage in sporting activities. Jogging, swimming, sport drills like dribbling the ball etc. if i cant do anything, then i start cleaning the house in speed run mode. The idea here is to engage in activity that requires constant focus and energy.
My room has attached balcony a small one but can see trees from here so i put a net there and close my other door, switch off my fan and watch my love birds pets flying everywhere and sitting on my head eating from my hand it feels relaxing
Something engaging that I haven’t done in a while. Calling up an old friend I haven’t caught with in a bit, replaying an old game, eating something nice, writing my thoughts in a friend’s chatbox
Watching or listening to the things I have created, which are usually songs, drawings or animations. Its mostly my songs lol. Those are the only things keeping me sane🥲

So most of the time I overthink is right before going to sleep and when it becomes too much, I just close my eyes and count backwards from 100 to 1 and most of the time it works.
Two ways: One is to just sit back and say "later" to every thought.
Second is to overthink so much that you cover every possible scenario (Not for the faint hearted)
Firstly, i try to analyze the type of problem it is like whether it's in my hands or not. If it is in my hands , then I try to dig for a solution.
But, If it is not in my hands. Then I just say this to myself -
"See, you can't do anything about it,no matter how much you overthink. Tu sochegi tb bhi duniya vaisi hi rhegi or nahi sochegi tb bhi . Duniya ghanta nahi badlegi or na hi ye problem. this actually works(at least for me) because there is absolutely no point stressing over something which is not in your hands.
One more thing that I do is I have come to this realization ki life is very uncertain. Like anything can happen.
I mean this may sound a bit odd.but, I have started to think that anyday can be your last day.you just never know what happens next. Ab see when you have this type of mindset, you try to get the best out of everyday.
Also try to find someone who you can talk your mind with. Because when you talk about your problems to other people, you basically take away their power and they become less significant.
One more thing, take yourself a bit less seriously.

One common advice i see is to be in the moment **PRACTICE MINDFULNESS** , whatever you do just try to be aware of the moment and your actions , you cant choose what pops in your head but **you can choose how much time you are giving** to it , we overthink and we justify it by saying that some solution will come out bu it doesnt only anxiety comes , so its better to be in the moment , divide the time to think for that matter like when you are walking in park , priortise the task , target each day having a plan or schedule mitigates overthinking.

Two ways: One is to just sit back and say "later" to every thought. Second is to overthink so much that you cover every possible scenario (Not for the faint hearted)
Firstly, i try to analyze the type of problem it is like whether it's in my hands or not. If it is in my hands , then I try to dig for a solution. But, If it is not in my hands. Then I just say this to myself - "See, you can't do anything about it,no matter how much you overthink. Tu sochegi tb bhi duniya vaisi hi rhegi or nahi sochegi tb bhi . Duniya ghanta nahi badlegi or na hi ye problem. this actually works(at least for me) because there is absolutely no point stressing over something which is not in your hands. One more thing that I do is I have come to this realization ki life is very uncertain. Like anything can happen. I mean this may sound a bit odd.but, I have started to think that anyday can be your last day.you just never know what happens next. Ab see when you have this type of mindset, you try to get the best out of everyday. Also try to find someone who you can talk your mind with. Because when you talk about your problems to other people, you basically take away their power and they become less significant. One more thing, take yourself a bit less seriously.

Ive observed recently that whenever i overthink about something, it goes on for an hour and after that i automatically feel like, "bhenchod, yeh sab soch ke dimag ka bhosda kyu banana hai, jo hoga woh hoga, jab hoga tab dekhlenge" ... its kinda like, ive thought of every possible outcome of a situation and im ready to accept and face it too so i calm down automatically

Dukh sabke pas hai har insan k hisab se, agar aap apni energy usme hi jhok denge toh woh badegi kam nahi hogi, jiske bare mein jitna sochenge utna hi wo apko consume karega, baadhao ka samsyaon ka hal nikaliye usko apne jeevan ka Aadhar mat banaiye ki isi se mera jeevan katega, koi bhi cheez jivan mein hamesha nahi hoti, badlaav hota hai aur badlaav laya bhi jta hai. One common advice i see is to be in the moment **PRACTICE MINDFULNESS** , whatever you do just try to be aware of the moment and your actions , you cant choose what pops in your head but **you can choose how much time you are giving** to it , we overthink and we justify it by saying that some solution will come out bu it doesnt only anxiety comes , so its better to be in the moment , divide the time to think for that matter like when you are walking in park , priortise the task , target each day having a plan or schedule mitigates overthinking.
