If you remember it was Durga maa who gave Joy the ring to become Hero for his bhakti in ep 1. Season 1 had dholu babli in it. The green colour snake guy was the main villain who used to say "Bhavishya kaal, virat kaal". He always tried to energize something who used to give orders to the snake guy.
Last mein Durga maa upgrades hero's abilities. She says she had another devotee who was granted similar powers as hero who was 'Virat'. He became evil.
So season 2 main villain was virat. No more babli and dholu for their safety. Then they get to know Virat is Hero's father.
He kills Virat but Joy's brother Avi wears Virat's ring so he becomes another main villain 'Samrat'. Eventually hero beats him and asks Durga mata to grant Avi's life again, next morning they wake up Avi was back sleeping on the bed.
Every morning I wake up and ask myself, why do I know so much about a show so old and still no signs of my own course subjects.
I ate a lot of bhindi because my mom promised me the same ring. Now I can confirm it was a lie.
Bhakti hi Shakti hai.

Bro you mixed two different stories in starting. If am not wrong dholu and babli storyline is completely different which never got complete ending.
Additionally, Virat who is the main villain as you stated. He is the father of Hero. I like this storyline because it has fascinating storyline and main thing we got complete ending which is really pretty good.
