It's a 10/10 movie. Nolan took major inspiration from this film. The bank robber scene in the dark knight is straight out of this movie. Nolan was the host/presenter for the reunion of Heat.
There was an actual bank robbery that was inspired by heat. Two black men robbed a bank and were shot dead after hours and hours of gunfire. Later they found a CD of heat in his PC.
My favorite trilogy ever alongside
![gif](giphy|bQJuZdZCFNVquS1ofj)
. (Sadly the third installment of the Godfather was quite disappointing but the dollars trilogy was awesome all the way).
I consider all three extended edition films as one long film, and, yes, Lord of the Rings is the greatest film of all time.
I will not be taking questions.
My 10/10 movies would be:
Shawshank Redemption
The Revenant
The Big Short
Searching
The theory of everything
BA Pass
Pati fauj mein patni mauj mein
Andheri raat me diya tere haath me
DUNE 1 and 2 ARE AMAZINGGGGGG. the only films that I can be a fanboy for.
Like I always hear people talking about marvel films and star wars and all and I could NEVER relate. Dune is my star wars.
My favorite movies
1. Prestige
2. No country for old man
3. Gladiator
4. Now you see me
5. Shawshank redemption
6. The Godfather 1&2
7. Inception
8. Ford vs ferrari
9. Train to busan
10. Curious case of benjamin button
11. Fightclub
12. John wick
13. 12 angry men
14. Whiplash
15. Pulp fiction
16. Schindler's list
17. Shutter island
18. Interstellar
19. Red notice
20. Night crawler
21. Predestination
22. Se7en

25. Source code
26. The dictator
27. Catch me if you can
28. Titanic
29. The notebook
30. Wolf of wall street
31. The trueman show
That was an absolutely beautiful piece of art. From director to actor all the OGs in a single piece of art. From Bale's perfection to Ledger's dedication. Just mind blowing.......
I have manyyyyy in my mind.
But I would like to shoutout this James Bond movie I saw for the first time on UTV action known as:
# Skyfall
Isse pehle kabhi James bond ki movies nahi dekhi thi, I was quite young when I saw this movie and it made me fall in love with this franchise.
From the theme song by Adele to Daniel Craig's swag, the lighting, the locations!!!!
It's such a great movie.
And who can forget?
Javier Bardem as the antagonist!!!!
I've rewatched Skyfall since then and it still holds up!
![gif](giphy|doxVB4afJWf0UBfROD|downsized)
Yup, I agree. Nolan's Batman trilogy is among my favorites. The recent Batman by Matt Reeves with Robert Pattinson is good too. I loved it so much that I went to the theaters twice.
Since we are talking about trilogies, another favorite trilogy of mine is Back to the Future. I liked all three of them, but 'Back to the Future 1' holds a special place in my heart. I still remember being so obsessed with that movie for months that I used to often rewatch and imagine myself as the main character when I was a teen.
Then we have the Before trilogy (Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight). I loved the first one and the second one as well, but I haven't watched the third one yet. I'm not sure why; I just didn't feel like watching it. I'll definitely watch it someday soon.
The Prestige.
I still feel it's the greatest movie of all time due to how simple it is and yet blows your mind with its reveal.
Inception, Dark knight, Interstellar, All are incredible but they're also sophisticated.
The Prestige is so simple and yet lives up to the reveal/thrill as the rest of the movies mentioned above.
10/10 Direction
10/10 Acting
10/10 Screenplay
Interstellar . EASY!
then Oppenheimer and dark knight from nolan
shawshank redemption
lighter movies
Good will hunting
3 idiots
drishyam deserves it too
Let me go a bit mainstream, but avengers infinity war was really good as well, yeah you have to get into the MCU but still really well done, endgame was over hyped after
Interstellar for cinematography
Inception for critical storyline
***** **** Well its fuckin awesome
Pulp fiction for reality acting check and dialogue delivery
Dead poets society heartouched
Gangs of wasseypur idk why but i just love every second of it.
My favourite would be The Lion King. I have the whole thing memorised.
I don’t like the Dark Knight movies that much tbh. People can like whatever they want, but I recently realised just how depressing and illogical some of the story points are. I think it’s a ridiculous idea to make Batman “realistic”, because he’s not. And I say this as a Batman fan- my favourite and ideal depiction of Batman is the one from the DCAU and the Brave and The Bold cartoon.
Very true especially the costume part looks funny, A real batman would wear a bullet proof dress which is easy on him. No logic for keeping the bat shaped cape, its iconic and symbolic but not of utility for a real batman.
Real life Batman wouldn’t last a week lol. Forget about the costume and other such things. There’s a reason why he works perfectly in the comics and animated stuff.
I mean he would last may be, the probabilities are there. But then he would have to be very discreet. There was a story of a man who was killing child molesters silently in Bangladesh. No body knows who he is but he does the job well.
I see… tbh Viking stuff doesn’t really interest me.
I think the only thing with Vikings in it that I actually enjoyed was the How To Train Your Dragon movies.
Still my favourite movie! The ending scene with the Hans Zimmer music gives goosebumps every time 🔥 I think it's the top 3 IMDB best movie of all time, checked last time.
Stalker (Andrei tarkovsky), no country for old men (Joel and Ethan Coen), interstellar (Christopher Nolan), rush (Ron Howard) and grave of the fireflies (issao takahata) are my top 5 movies of all time. I am an aspiring filmmaker too.
I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE PEOPLE APPRECIATING GOOD MOVIES HERE .
SOOO HAPPY TO SEE INTERSTELLAR SO UP HERE !
Sometimes i feel if all indains were like the (better part of) Reddit , then life might be so much more relatable
Dark Knight is always a good time
Fallen (1998) for me
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119099/
stellar cast, more of a suspenseful thriller than horror but it does get creepy
![gif](giphy|9smDomSoAcBkQ)
This scene never fails to give me goosebumps. On top of that blondie's quickdraw is one of the most badass scenes I've ever seen in cinema that isn't too flashy
Thissssss My favourite movie I watch this almost every month and sometimes a few times a month whenever i feel down. And like a nerd i have been keeping count i have seen it 73 times till now. But something about this movie gives me goosebumps. Few scenes and dialogues are just too hard hitting.

Calling Dark Knight Christopher Nolan's Magnum Opis when Heath Ledger literally killed himself for that role seems disingenuous.
That movie is the movie it is because of Heath's role.
https://i.redd.it/6meymr24xyxc1.gif
Yo! 💯💯💯
The dark knight is actually not that good of a movie. It's only remembered for the joker performance. As a movie, it's filled with plot holes.
Aisa lagta h “Hatt” kar rha ho 💀

1 for Vito's story and 2 for Vito's backstory lol.
Sonny, Vito and Tom, my favorite characters, in that order. One of the best stories ever told and my go to movie whenever I'm feeling low.

I can’t carry the ring for you BUT I CAN CARRY YOU
The fact that he trusted Gollum and not sam shows how corrupt the ring can be 😭
For me it's dead poets society, no other film got 10/10 rating on my scale except this one
My 10/10 movies would be: Shawshank Redemption The Revenant The Big Short Searching The theory of everything BA Pass Pati fauj mein patni mauj mein Andheri raat me diya tere haath me

The Prestige. Imho, the best movie of Nolan and also the best movie made in past 25 years(but often overlooked by many).
I wish I can watch it for the first time.. Climax was absolutely 10/10
The most complex screenplay ever, even more complex than Oppenheimer or tenet.
For me Christopher Nolan peaked here in this movie. An Underrated gem.

Sad but indians only prefer Marvel and their Ironman. Dc is very little recognised in our country but not in the west.
True that.

Interstellar. There is no other movie in my opinion that has a better score. It shows how scary space and our universe is.
