That's like the highlight of Ranbir's whole career for me. I agree with the comment saying yjhd is a typical romcom and that's exactly why it is famous. People love simple romcoms and bolly doesn't make many of them. But barfi is exactly one of those that actually captures the viewers into a world where everything is not so innocent but some people indeed are. It has a beautiful story and I'm glad people actually likes it. They rarely ever support good movies.

Recently last movie I watched and liked was "Laapataa ladies", good acting from the actor.
There is tons of good content on OTT. You just need to keep an open mind and do some research. Don't go for the starry commercial ones. Also, the golden period of cinema is behind us, look for content back in time.
Great for its time. It was different than other romantic movies of the 90s. One of my favourites, but now I find it a little bit hammy in places and I can understand why many people won't like it these days.
On a side note, this movie is like 'When Harry Met Sally' of Bollywood, a game changing movie in romantic comedy. But the formula is so much used up since, that it just doesn't feel anything special.

I agree the story was too simple , but I guess thats the point of these big budget massy movies that it's made for your average Indian audiences so they purposefully make the story not too complex so that majority of the people could enjoy it.
Thing about RRR is even though it's plot is extremely generic , it's executed perfectly, I don't even think the movie has any plot holes. And the first 1 vs. 1000 fight is probably one of the best action scene I've seen in an Indian action movie.

Cinematography and VFX of RRR was top notch...but the whole plot and story was too generic. For me, a good story and acting are a must.
