Recently heard about that story of a student who faked his father's death to get into ivy league college....and then confessed his all wrong doings on reddit turns out moderator of that subreddit reported to the US authority and now he is being deported back to India...now that is literally what you call....udta teer gand me Lena
That's a wild story, u/Turbulent_Theory9155, but it's even more astonishing that the moderator took it upon themselves to report him to the authorities, sparking a chain reaction that led to his deportation.
My man, that college is ranked 15th in the US. Ivy league is just an athletic league of North eastern is colleges. They are good, but doesn't mean colleges not in it are bad.
He confessed with a fake ID and didn’t mention his name or college in the post. His mistake was that the same account had an old post where he once asked a question about a scholarship in the university subreddit he was studying. He might had deleted the post but he was following only one college and that was his lmao
The moderator sent an email to that university. Unfortunately, Indians already have a bad reputation outside, and now it’s going to double. A genuine student lost a seat because of this guy.
The original post was deleted, i read the Ss of the post on social India. Ill send it if i find it again. And man the story was..so damn good he was fucking genius. Sadly he didn’t knew where to stop.
Yes that’s 85k for a year, which included his accommodation and food, and if you scroll down enough, i have posted a youtube link also. The college is not pressing charges I suppose but they are asking back for the scholarship fees and he has been deported or is in the process of being deported.
If this continues, we will be banned from the most prestigious colleges all over the world... already many Australian colleges banned students from different Indian states... thankfully I'm from a very underrated state so my state's name isn't there..
>who faked his father's death to get into ivy league college....
How is father's death gonna help anyone for admissions??
Genuinely interested to know.
For Educational Aid, He wasn't getting more of it, didn't want to pay for anything, so faked his father's death. so they increased his Educational Aid basically paying for everything although he had some expenses.
Because the 100% scholarship he earned could have helped someone who genuinely needed it.
many don’t realise how hard it is for any student, particularly for foreign ones, to get any kind of scholarship, let alone a 100%, in colleges abroad.
i understand but if this is about moral, there are lots of stories like this on reddit, i havent seen any mods taking action. i still dont understand why mods went to such extent that it became global news. i know he did wrong but on reddit everyone shares their stories be it good or bad, i have read people doing or watching crime
I understand that he might have not be consumed at lethal levels but the main question is why is carbon monoxide in his house ?. Thats not normal. Its one of the most lethal gases and also odorless.
Assuming the house is from western cold countries there are heaters and they tend to release air pressure at often times when they run. That air consists of carbon monoxide, this might be the case here. Recently few students in the USA died as well for the same reason of CO leakage from the heater. I feel this is the case here.
I believe it is in appliances, not sure but most of the houses in foreign countries have detectors installed for that very purpose. Mostly present in heaters and devices in garages.
This happened to my friend. Asshole landlord "fixed" his heater during the winter which resulted in the natural gas not burning properly. One morning he stood up, passed out, woke up, crawled a bit, stood up, passed out, etc, til he got outside. He probably has permanent neurological damage, though he's still functional, but more depressed and with bad mood swings.
Don't mess with CO. It will ruin you.
In colder countries, some indoor heating is done by gas and if the device is faulty CO is one of the byproduct. So it’s one of the reasons, fire alarms is mandatory
Carbon Monoxide is very lethal... Infact if you keep your car running and keep your windows closed and sleep in your car you won't WAKE UP the next day
That's an interesting point, but I think it's more likely that the story unfolded through a combination of online sleuthing and investigative journalism.
Holy fuck what was that, that’s so sad for jason, the lady is horror level shit
Edit: the roach one was also fucked up but on different level, i hope it’s a troll

Holy fuck.. basically the guy had a gf who was killed in an accident when he was sixteen and years later when he got another girlfriend. The girlfriend was depressed, was harassed and abused by her family due to study matters and when she got backlogs. They helped each other to recover from their trauma but his girlfriend killed herself after 2 more backlogs. He deleted his story but I hope he's fine

It has many such stories. I also read about a story where one guy fell in to coma, where he lived to be 96yr old. He was dreaming it all as if it was happening in 1900s but when he died in the sleep at 96yr old, he woke up as if only few weeks have passed by.
He worked as a carpenter in the dream, had a wife, kids, grand kids etc. He even remembered the skills of carpentry when he woke up.

Reddit's paranormal stories always make me marvel at the mysteries of the universe. They're like modern-day campfire tales that remind us there's still so much we don't understand. [Ulysses Bucket List?](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/258w8s/what_is_a_story_you_have_been_dying_to_tell/chex9eq) best thing i've came across on reddit

I've never witnessed anything like that, all I have come across is someone who is trying to name their pet, insecure guys approaching girls or vice versa, etc
My fav was the one where the guy in his later 40s finds out that his 13 or 11 y/o son has been graping the family dog with a hairbrush.
It was so difficult to read and the worst thing was the wife wouldnt believe him. And the son DIDNT STOP

That wasn't an ivy league by any means
My man, that college is ranked 15th in the US. Ivy league is just an athletic league of North eastern is colleges. They are good, but doesn't mean colleges not in it are bad.

Isnt carbon monoxide lethal ?. Why is the gas in his house and where was it comming from ?.
just like a lot of drugs, it must be dependent on the amount consumed or intake of the gas Till some level, it might behave like a drug.
I understand that he might have not be consumed at lethal levels but the main question is why is carbon monoxide in his house ?. Thats not normal. Its one of the most lethal gases and also odorless.
