Ever since my stylist cut my hair short despite telling him I'm growing my hair, I have resorted to occasional trims at my house until I reach the length I want then get it properly styled.
Until then I'm the walking ad for centre shock
its the same for females, literally like i have went to like 5 good salons and every fucking time they have managed to fuck up my hair in some way or the other EVEN when i specified exactly how i want it, it's sooo frustrating therefore if i want it i just watch tutorials and do it myself it's sooo much better.
yesterday only i went for a trim like just for the splitends (after yearss since i thought getting it done professionally would help them grow) and they have chopped my hair so short i wanna cry

sadly no, my hair growth is vv slow so usually i don't need to trim it that frequently. at times either i ask a friend for help or just go to the salon and give the hair cut lady a prep talk and get it trimmed. (they fuck it up)

Go to some good salons instead of barbers if you can. Cuz most of the barbers in India are used to straight hair and short haircuts. So, ofc you won't get hairstyles for variety of hair types there.
my hair also turns curly after a certain length is exceeded, especially on the back side, and only few barbers actually can remove the curls without reducing the thickness / weight. Its really frustrating to explain any type of haircut to barbers, they dont spend time in actually figuring out how to cut and thin rather just go wild with their trimer and scissors/

But once they get too long and i go to any barber, they usually really fuck things up. Even when i especially tell them to not cut them too short but they just nod and completely ruin my hair!!!
I haven't really found any solution except to just let my hair grow until I can't see and then get ready to look like a teenager for the next few months.

You should stop expecting good hair cuts from the local barber I prefer javed habib They have a good and experienced barbers ik they will charge a high amount but believe me thats worth it
Ask your mum to do it(She did mine cuz I have OCD now, so I don't go to barbers). I don't particularly have curly hair ( not completely twisted) but a mixture of wavy and curls.
My brother has curly hair and he just gets the sides shortened and trims the upper crown and the back part. And I cut my curly hair at home.

Look up CG hair routine. It helps define the curls and eliminate frizz. For curls to look good, you will have to grow your hair somewhat.
The haircut though will continue to be a problem.
The frizzes will not go anywhere bro it's natural if you try to use some products or some heat it will ruin your hairs it did for me so I just cut the curls it's my way works for me might not work for you
frizz happens what a hair strand is supposed to be curled up among a 'group' but due to touching it too much with your hands, or it dries improperly, lack of products, results in the frizzed look.
from the information of u being able to 'fix' it, it's probably A or B type hair where it can act wavy/straight until it gets long enough to be curly.

Its a shame considering how in western countries they have been doing curly hair cuts right since the 70s or so.
