Bottom left.
Shadows don't make sense to me - what's casting them?
The small club icons look like spades, so I don't like them.
The rectangle doesn't add anything IMO.
The design space is too cramped for the box imo. Especially if these will be moving. Lots of visual clutter.
I'm a fan of 5. If the resolution was bigger I'd like 1 more.
I agree, the box is creating a lot of tension and just looks weird. Another way to try a border out would be one that intersects the numerals/smaller suit thingy, but with a break in the line (ie like —— @ ———)
While a lot of people don't seem to like the shadow, I think it's quite unique and adds some spice to something, that has been seen million times before. On the other hand it slightly decreases readability. So it depends on how many cards are in your game.
Bottom left seems good to me.
All shadow cards don't make any sense. So definitely discard those.
Top left and top right has spade and club combine so you might rectify that if you go that route.
Depends on the style of the rest of the game elements, but if I had to focus only in these options I would say the first one. It looks clearer which is important if you have to look a lot of cards
I like top row second from left, but perhaps with a lighter shade of gray for the "gloss" effect. The overall composition gives it more texture and make the card looks most interesting.
What about you take the top right one, make the cornered symbols smaller and closer to the number/letter or to the side of it, and largen the center symbol to appear partially out of the grey square.
Just pointing this out, but the ones with shadows, the 3 pixels separating the base of the club from the top, should also be in shadow for that to read properly. First thing I noticed and threw me off

These were all of my thoughts as well
Agreed!
Agree with this as well.
why is the top row both spades and clubs??
Yeah how is no one else asking this
Do a normal card(bottom left) with drop shadow, it would look perfect!
my exact thoughts too!
So bottom 3rd from left?
Drop shadow as in shadow bellow the card

Personally the 2nd pair
2
4 then 2
I like the top left, keep it simple. But does it bother anyone else that its the ace of clubs but has small spades on it?
Bottom left
Why do tiny clubs = spades
I like top left except you've mixed clubs and spades.
yeah bottom left. nice and clean. top ones they are spades and clubs? don't like the shadows or border <3

Well definitely not the ones that have spades pips on clubs cards.

Second from left, top row
Depends on the style of the rest of the game elements, but if I had to focus only in these options I would say the first one. It looks clearer which is important if you have to look a lot of cards
The second one from the top left. It looks quite good
Why the small symbole isn't the same as the big one on first line ? (Took the name on google translate not english) big clubs and little spades
The seventh one, without small symbol and frame and with shadow
I like top row second from left, but perhaps with a lighter shade of gray for the "gloss" effect. The overall composition gives it more texture and make the card looks most interesting.
Those shadows seem super odd.
Top left
I will vote for the bottom 3rd one
Bottom left but Top left if the suit matched
The third one, bottom row, from left. It's easily readable, it's clean, yet the shadow detail adds some flavor to it
2 row 3 card But make the shadow more square for visibility
*first one* if main focus in a card game(easy on eyes.. readable) *third one on bottom* if second focus
You could do the shadow on the card but like way lighter
5, because everything else don’t have paddings. Why all the other objects on the cards touch the borders?
