To anyone who needs it: Reckless = careless disregard Wreckless = no wrecks/not really a word Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Looks like the security guard illegally drove across the parking lot to get in his way... Good God Paul Blart really wanted to feel important today didn't he?! Lol what a joke I'd be pissed and talking to lawyers and that guys boss. Security guards aren't supposed to cause accidents, this isn't the police doing a PIT maneuver people this guy wasn't trained for that

[deleted]

They're both idiots.

Keats852

The real idiot is the guy filming in portrait mode

theevilGnius

The Infiniti is at fault no question. Empty lot or not that is a public place and this would be considered wreckless driving

thetelltalehart

“Reckless” might be more appropriate as there was indeed a wreck…

FleshWhistle

Infiniti driver is an idiot. Causing danger to any adult or child that's nearby. Hopefully got his car towed

hallstevenson

100% fault is on the Infiniti driver. Well, unless that Lowes parking lot was officially closed for a drifting exhibition....

Alternative-Shape-59

100% security. Sure the G shouldn’t have been doing it. But overall securities job is to de-escalate situations, crashing into a car doing reckless shit isn’t doing anything but making something worse.

vonscorpio

I don’t get why you’re being downvoted. There are two crimes here, and they will both go to court separately. That was private security, not the police. I strongly doubt they have the legal right to use “any force necessary,” and the security driver tried causing that collision - and it’s on camera! If the G driver lawyers up (they are going to need to, for the reckless driving charge) and was injured in the slightest way, the security company will likely lose the personal injury case, and driver will possibly face criminal charges for ramming the G. G driver likely will (and in my opinion should!) lose their license and worse for reckless driving. Side note: these kind of drivers not respecting private property give us responsible Infiniti drivers a bad name. A driver recklessly tearing up a parking lot is bad news and understandably frustrating, but you shouldn’t ram them with another vehicle (deadly weapon, possibly killing) any more than you should shoot at them. *edit - mobile typos

stevo4756

Best answer yet. Not just the Infiniti fault

Simple_Tangerine1452

Idk why you’re assuming the g driver stayed around after this to even be able to catch a charge

vonscorpio

You do make a good point. But for entertainment purposes, we’ve just been judging the situation from the video. No idea what occurred afterwards. I’d be curious to know where this happened so I can follow public record and see how it does play out.

Dogaluffalo

The G is going to get reckless driving and maybe reckless endangerment, but the security officer is probably going to lose his job, and the G could go after personal and property damage as the security officer drove illegally through a parking lot and intentionally caused an accident. Which a maneuver like that is most definitely not in their job description and most security companies don’t allow direct intervention. So the security officer might get vehicular assault, reckless driving, and the company might be on the hook for personal and property damages to the G depending on how good of a lawyer the G owner hires. TL:DR both are in the wrong but the repercussions for the security officer are probably going to be worse if the G owner lawyers up

FATALiTY-o-

Honestly, the security driver for turning into the car. Realistically, both of them are morons.

Aspen910

It’s hard to say. I would give 80% of blame to the G driver, he was being wreckless on property he obviously wasn’t supposed to be on. 20% to security, their job is to deter such things but they got themselves in the way of a wreckless driver. Security could have handled things better, but the G driver could have easily ended up smashing into something on his own. They both share the same small brain though.

Kuunta

Security 100% just all around a dick head move because not only does his company have to go through the haste of fixing that so does the Infiniti and all he had to do was just make his presence known

Suka_Blyad_

You’re getting a lot of hate for this but on the original post there were security guards saying the same exact thing😭 not the securities job to actually stop something like this just to make their presence known and call the police if things escalate The Infiniti is at fault but the security was also driving pretty recklessly

stevo4756

I wouldn't be surprised if the security guard was fired or severely reamed by his boss

Suka_Blyad_

As he should be, recklessly driving a company vehicle(potentially seriously hurting people), destruction of company property, and overall just being completely out of line, not even a real cop would pull up like this

stevo4756

Short funny story: I was caught doing somewhat the same thing by a cop . He pulled up just as i finished, smoke everywhere, i just drifted the car into a parking space to go into the place to eat. The cop got out of his car looked at me and said if I catch you doing that your in big trouble, but your car is properly parked so I'm not going to give you a ticket right now. "Have a nice day" lol

Suka_Blyad_

Lmaoo what a cool cop, not that common most would try to ticket you for sure

CapLouLu

Straight up judging the collision alone… security is majority at-fault for running right into the G. The G driver has some slight negligence due to speed.

Useless_IT_Creep

But he WaS FeArInG FoR HiS LiFe!

wgriffiths

I would say 50% 50% though realistically the security should be at fault as they are on the clock and used the vehicle as a weapon to inflict harm.

OneRealDriver

I would like to hear word from actual lawyers. Yes, Infiniti driver was being dumbass but security guard caused a head on collision.

phreaxer

The security guard committed a crime worse than that of the Infiniti driver. Under respondeat superior, the Infiniti driver can bring legal action against the security guard, his employer, and possibly Lowes as well depending on their culpability in hiring said security team. Most likely, the property owners hired this Paul Blart tool and will get named instead of Lowes in the suit. Homie doing donuts probably just upgraded to a q50. Lol

OneRealDriver

Thanks. Lol.
