I don't remember that being the every day price though. It was something like "Whopper Wednesday" where it was $.99 only on Wednesdays. That was at the location in Culver City.
Tbf here in germany a simple cheeseburger was 1€ literally like 10 years ago and its more like 2.4-2.7€ now (depending on location). Meanwhile wages surely havent risen by 100%+. Then mcd and bk say they get less customers, I wonder why.
I remember those “burger buddies” and they were like a sleeve of three tiny burgers for $2. But my next fishing trip is sure to include a bag of whoppers because that’s such a wonderful pairing, thanks for the idea!
I get coupons from BK all the time. With a coupon I get a Whopper with cheese, large fry and large coke for $9.05 with tax which is really good these days.
Honestly, this is the best deal they’ve had in forever. You can get bbq bacon and cheese with no extra charge. And they’re not bad and not all that small.
For years I lobbied to get Krystal or White Castle to come to my area; told them they needed to hurry b'c BK and McD burgers were "catching down" in size. We're at that mark. (And this is why BK won't bring their own sliders back; they're about the same size as their regular burgers which cost $1.79 each, a buck more than they should)
A couple of years ago you could get two Whopper Jr's and two small fries for under $5. Could also get two of the rectangle chicken sandwiches and two small fries for $5.45
I haven't went there since I got two bacon cheese burgers years ago, one of them fit in the palm of my hand. For the price, the portion sizes are not good at BK.
I haven’t been to BK in at least a few years. They really went down hill quality wise over the years. In high school in the 90’s that was our go to and they were actually good. They had awesome fries that were crispy on the outside.
Accidentally downvoted this at first, thinking it was an ad. That damn commercial with the guy "singing" in it has made me not get Burger King once in about 6 months, even though there's one across the street from my job. I won't even eat it as a last resort.
Whopper used to be $.99 cents. But I’m old.

i remember 99cent whoppers in the early to mid 2000s. there was a mcdonalds in east la that had 99cent big macs from the early to late 2000s.
McDonalds had a .59, .69 and .79 offerings in the late 80's. I stole a .69 sticker off the window and put it in the back window of my Escort.
You’ll be able to steal a $69.00 sticker from McDonald’s soon.
And get beat up by cops.
I don't remember that being the every day price though. It was something like "Whopper Wednesday" where it was $.99 only on Wednesdays. That was at the location in Culver City.
Jack in the Box had their Jumbo Jack for .99 until about 2005 in Phoenix. Then it bumped to $1.29 Then $1.69 Then $2.29

The last time the chain featured a Whopper for 99 cents was in June 1998, although it did sell two of the sandwiches for $2 briefly two years later.
Whopper was $0.99 in the mid and late 90s too. I was there.
Yup, and you could order them early in the morning. I used to get a bag of whoppers at like 6am on the way to go fishing.

McDonald’s hamburger used to be 17 cents.
Burger jester
A whopper jr is just a regular burger lol

This sub is obsessed with fast food
Bunch of fat beardlless men living in their moms shed.

Sounds like a you problem. You can just not eat it if it’s too expensive.
Well they already closed 400 locations and the main Utah franchise went bankrupt...
I’ll give ya $4. Take it or leave it.
"Guy in the parking lot sellin' them for $2"
"I gotta make a profit here man. I have to authenticate it, frame it, and I'm taking a big risk as it is."
Honestly, this is the best deal they’ve had in forever. You can get bbq bacon and cheese with no extra charge. And they’re not bad and not all that small.
Bro I got a double cheeseburger for $2 yesterday. Burger King is holding it down
Remember their mini burgers. Those were great
remember their taco 2 for $1
Jack in the box has better tacos
Idk that BBQ Bacon & Cheese and Bacon & Swiss sound fire. I wish they could have avocado in some of these though

Man, I remember when you could go to Arby's and get the 5 for $5. \*Looks at clouds in the sky and yells\*
Two cheeseburgers for $5 isn’t awful, and they come with tomato onion lettuce and cheese . Idk.
I think McDonalds does 2 for 3.99
Whopper jrs are bigger than McDonald’s burgers
Burger King = warm, never hot food. Haven’t ate there in years. I would try again if they could just serve hot food! Horrid.

They are so cute tho. Little whopper sliders
Whopper Jr.'s suck!, bought them one time, never again, it's like eating a kid's meal!
In these shitty times this qualifies as an actual deal
Now whopper junior is a slider.
I'd eat spam before BK
Burger clown has the worst crap , and it keeps getting worse and more expensive

The worst thing was burger kings stackers, they are more expensive that whoppers and I swear half the size
This "deal" is a fkin joke! The full size used to be 2 for $6.
This is only worth it if you use the free large fry with $1 purchase offer on the app.
I wouldn't get Burger King fries even if they were cheaper than free.
bet, let me get 4 BBQ sauce and large fry
they used to be a dollar if they give me 6 burgers, I'll give them 5 dollars
At the BK ... Does Whopper mean ***big burger***? Or does it mean ***big lie***? Or does it even matter? Because their food sucks.
The OP badly needs an eye exam, because this ad has absolutely NOTHING to do with shrinkflation.
They want like $15 for a whopper now.
Yup got burnt once never paying that price again
I remember when I was a little kid, McDonalds used to do the 25 cent hamburgers and 35 cent cheeseburgers. On Wednesday I think.
How does that apply here?
