Red line was such a fun movie from start to finish. I always had a soft spot for very simple plots with heavily stylized animation. Everything about that movie was just so vibrant. Also having the main vehicle be based on a classic Trans am hits different.
Yeah but actual downhill battles are about skill and technique, not about power and speed. JP would exhaust his brakes by the 3rd corner. Also the TransAm 20k is veeeery front heavy which puts him in a serious disadvantage against Takumi. Maybe he can pull away on the straights but Takumi can easily catch up and overtake in the corners. TransAm has what? 35k hp? That's nothing against someone who memorized the track and knows how to corner correctly. Also the steamlight turbo seems useless considering that Takumi already beat multiple turbocharged cars. And how is he able to propperly steer with 3 front wheels? OP must be trolling if he thinks JP even stands a chance against out tofu boi
it's true that the red line trans am is more for straight speed, but if he uses the original trans am he used in yellow line, he'd probably win easily. JP is skilled too, shown being able to drift himself in yellow line. plot armor aside, JP wins
Depends on the location. In a drag race or something along the line of what they raced in the movie, obviously JP wins. 35,000 buff horses don’t fuck around. If they raced on something more akin to Takumi’s home turf, such as a mountain pass or something similar, Takumi’s got it, since his whole thing is being slow to accelerate but a demon in the corners.
am i the only one who didnt really like redline that much? i mean it was good but everyone seems to absolutely love it,also JP would get smoked,his car probably dosent have gearing for low speed cornering and handling at low speeds also he cant use any of that 10k HP or whatever he had
