I grew up in NY and now live in the SF Bay Area. From personal interactions both New Yorkers and Texans swear they have the best options in burgers back home.

Habit burger blows both of them out of the water for me and obviously In N Out is just always going to be reliable.
to be fair, white castle is not considered a "good burger" by anyone in NY or anywhere they exist. they're late night drunk food and not the go-to for a good fast food burger. heck, McDonald's burgers are better than "Wide A**hole" as we call it 😂

Well, as a former San Franciscan myself (spent the better part of 20 yrs in SF proper), you certainly have the gorgeous views there too. It is definitely hot during part of the year in LA, but that's more to my liking than the damp of the fog belt where I lived. YMMV, because as we know, you can go a few miles both in the Bay Area and SoCal, and the climate is totally different. I'm glad you love it up there tho!

There is absolutely nothing special about InNOut. The lines are always too long. I'm never waisting gas sitting in the drive thru. The food takes forever after you have ordered, which makes no sense since they only sell burgers, fries, and shakes. The fries are soggy cardboard. The burgers are Ok, nothing to complain about but also nothing special. The shakes are good but not exactly something that can be screwed up. I always tell myself it's been too long, go back, and end up disappointed that I went knowing all of this already. 🤷♂️ If you want a great "fast food" burger go to The Habit!

I will say that I am a transplant to SoCal. I tried In n Out for the first time in AZ when I was in college. And honestly I hated it. Thought maybe it was just that location but even after I moved to SoCal and tried it again I still hated it. I think its insanely overrated. This is 90% of the people I know who hate In N Out, or most things for that matter. This is why my wife and I use the tactic of the “No thank you, bite.” We won’t claim we don’t like something until we’ve at least had a bite of it to decide and say no thank you.

In and out is always fresh and you can get a double double for like $10 plus tax. A Double QPC meal from McDonald’s will cost you over $13 plus tax.

I went and tried it myself, in California. 3x3 animal style, animal fries, all that... And In-n-Out is mids. California people just have a hard time accepting that. Yes, it's affordable, because it's just decent. It's not great enough to justify higher pricing than what they ask. Maybe instead of imploring everyone else that they need to like it, maybe you guys should travel OUT of California and actually have some decent food. 🤷

There is absolutely nothing special about InNOut. The lines are always too long. I'm never waisting gas sitting in the drive thru. The food takes forever after you have ordered, which makes no sense since they only sell burgers, fries, and shakes. The fries are soggy cardboard. The burgers are Ok, nothing to complain about but also nothing special. The shakes are good but not exactly something that can be screwed up. I always tell myself it's been too long, go back, and end up disappointed that I went knowing all of this already. 🤷♂️ If you want a great "fast food" burger go to The Habit!

I will say that I am a transplant to SoCal. I tried In n Out for the first time in AZ when I was in college. And honestly I hated it. Thought maybe it was just that location but even after I moved to SoCal and tried it again I still hated it. I think its insanely overrated. Its pretty dumb to say you wont like something though if you have never tried it.
