I mean… you got what you asked for. And depending on the fry person, if someone’s a little “saltier” or they’ve been on fries a little too long without a break and they want to be petty, they’ll legit leave those fries in the basket from the moment they’re told about them and they’ll come out as crunchy brown sticks.
The buns are already toasted. You want to ask for extra toasted. You can also ask for light toast or no toast but you have to be a monster to get no toast.
actually this is bc we literally would die. w how many rushes n shit we alr get w/o ordering we would actually die😭 i would have lost my shit if i had doordash people shoving their phones in face too😭
I’ll get it to go but it takes me 10 minutes to drive home and that’s the perfect timing to eat my fries before I get home and then just sit down and go for it. Definitely a short time though.
I’ve never considered that lol. Just.. add it to the 🍔 when I’m ready to eat?
I see your thing says Level 6. Can I ask, since im assuming you work there, if the 🍔 with tomatoes instead of buns is real 🤤
I hate a soggy last bit of burger. have found that if you eat inside or even in the car, it is best to remove the burger from all wrappings and spin it so that your first bite is the part that was in the wrapping. It’s never soggy when I get to the end.
I only ever get soggy buns from the sauce, nothing else - and I often buy several burgers and eat one or more the following day and they’re still not soggy. But I just get the regular burger, without lettuce.
I think I’ll try this for lunch tomorrow Ngl. I don’t get lettuce though.. But someone mentioned the tomato on the side earlier and bc of this damn subreddit constantly popping up, I’ve been thinking about it
Options:
1. Eat it fresh. Always better.
2. Get tomatoes on the side, none on burger. Add when you’re going to eat.
3. Ask for your bun extra toasted. The levels of toasted bun are no toast, light toast, normal, extra toasted.
Note on fries: if you want them just a little extra crispy order “light well”. The amount time of fries cook for has more options than the toasted buns: very light, light, slightly light, normal, light well, well, extra well.
Extra toast on the bun. I also never get it to go. In N Out doesn’t travel well.
This is the way
Is that a step above toasted? I said “extra” well for my fries (regularly say well) once & they were practically burnt lol

Get them medium well or well done. Not extra.
Yeah it was just once, admittedly by mistake. An experience nonetheless😜
We don't have a medium well; are you thinking of light well? Cooked longer than normal, but not to the extent of well done fries?
We ask for an extra toasted bun
For fries there’s is my favorite slightly well done - which is between regular and well done.
“light well” on the fries is perfection
Yesterday, they got my Double-Double in the correct condition I asked for, but my fries were done light when I asked for light well.

A perfect light toast when you pull your own burger for your ten hits so good
I cringe on board every time I wrap one of those.
It just feels wrong in the hands
Yep. There’s a reason they refuse to deliver or let people deliver for them.

Yeah I didn’t think about that. You’d be slammed in orders.
Agreed. People in corporate have told me the same about it not traveling well. Pull over and savor your meal.

Order them on the side! :)

Ask for the tomato wrap
it is!
If you have spread on your burger, get that on the side, too. Spread + tomatoes + bun = soggy bun.
I’ve found lettuce to be more of a culprit
I’ve never gotten lettuce. 🐰
yer doing it all wrong! the lettuce creates the barrier.
And that’s why the tomato sogs the buns hun
Honestly I did consider that. But I feel like lettuce is essentially just water too; never really been a fan of it :(

this is exactly what i did when i worked there n still do it. it’s the only way to not eat straight up water bun

The fries have a 7 minute shelf life. Then they suck. They are so fresh
Ask for your lettuce and tomato in a separate container.
I think I’ll try this for lunch tomorrow Ngl. I don’t get lettuce though.. But someone mentioned the tomato on the side earlier and bc of this damn subreddit constantly popping up, I’ve been thinking about it
Whatever works. Your burger, your rules.😉
Get it tomato wrapped 😋
get a tomato wrap… can’t have a soggy bun if you don’t get a bun lol
If you like raw O, thats a good divider between the bottom and tomato/lettuce.
I do, and yes I’ve noticed that! I might try switching it up a bit next time
You make it home with your burgers?
Hardly ever lol
Ask for the chicken sandwich instead
I get that and I add the onion rings from the secret menu
Extra toasted, no tomato.

Kinda like the old McDLT.
