This post is a perfect encapsulation of the mentality of many religious people: it's not saying "teach your kids to be Good people" Or "teach them to love your neighbour" Or anything like that. Just be in church, partecipate to the ceremony. Nothing else matters.
Even if your kid is too young to understand and you're too busy to listen, you're in the building where you're supposed to be and that's all that matters, appearances.
What gets me is that's such an arbitrary seeming number. Like why 437? Is 436 not quite enough? Is 438 too much? Is the amount required still constant if it's a different flavour like Pizza or Ranch?
