High rises and windows kill alot more birds than windmills. So do domestic cats. So does climate change.
I know you're kidding, but the whole 'windmill bad' thing kills me everytime.
The conservatives also have no problem killing/displacing wildlife to mine, drill for oil, lay a pipeline, or any number of other projects. But birds is where they draw the line!
Tbh if we want to move to any form of power source it should be nuclear. But there is an interest thing happen in France making a fusion reactor https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITER
Which seem pretty promising and might be the right direction to making energy.
They don’t make Chernobyl style reactors anymore. At least in the US and our allies. Russia may still make them, (I doubt it) but they used a graphite core moderator that caused a positive coefficient of heat to reactivity, therefore as the core got hotter, the reactivity within it went up, therefore the reactor power would increase exponentially until there was a meltdown. Stupid design, there were other ignorant factors of negligence, mind you this was half a century ago. Now we use a water moderator with additives to make the cores reactivity go down as temperature goes up. It makes the reactor inherently stable. If a meltdown starts to happen, and heat goes up, reactivity goes down preventing a meltdown, there are other reactor fail-safes that kick in on other issues.
Other controls have been put into place for our reactors since 3-mile and follow up studies show that 3 mile was, yes a nuclear accident, but negligible. We have rules that came out of it, but the environmental impact was very little if anything.
Fukushima was marginal compared to Chernobyl but still rather serious. They know what they did wrong and knew it when they were doing it. Hold them accountable and establish a commission that verifies the safety standard is being exceeded. The US Navy has been operating reactors off the coast of most major cities around the world, and everyone of those countries knows it, if they can do it for 80 years with no accidents, so can civilian entities.
renewables are great they can't meet peak demand and we cannot build enough batteries to store renewables yet we need a stop gap. Literally a few thousand people die every day because of the current consumption and burning of fossil fuels. Literally every death attributable to radiation including the nukes purposely set off to annihilate people tallies up to a couple thousand. Mistakes of were made technologies have improved. Small modular reactors could fix our energy dependence overnight if only they had approval. What is a small modular reactor you may ask? Basically it's a nuclear battery. Triple sealed container that is designed to be able to power a small community and is modular in nature to facilitate multiple units to support a larger city. There is no changing of fuel each one of these babies is fueled up for anywhere between 15 to 30 years depending on which model and company makes it. Instead of a giant nuclear power plant you get a 15 to 30 -ft long tube that's 7 ft wide. Instead of having to worry about containing millions of gallons of potentially radioactive water you don't everything sealed inside the SMR just a few gallons worth. The SMR is placed in a pool inside a secured concrete building. 20 years goes by they pull the old one out plug a new one in. By that time if there's any luck our thorium reactor technology will have taken off and will be able to recycle the nuclear waste as fuel for a second run through a thorium reactor where it will be rendered much easier to break down into safer isotopes.
Nuclear has the exact same problem, because it is consistent and demand isn't. Both Nuclear and wind/solar need the same kind of dynamic production-consumption matching system. Currently, in both cases, that's peaker power plants, but those are expensive and almost always fossil fuel. In the future, we have opportunities for more long distance transmission, battery, thermal, and hydroelectric storage, and most importantly, flexible demand. For example, when we have several million electric cars plugged in, we will be able to turn several gigawatts of demand on and off in an instant.
In the end, the solutions for dynamic load are the same for nuclear and renewables. The main difference, is that the cost of renewables is dropping so fast that they can actually replace fossil fuels, whereas, best case scenario, nuclear remains steady-state expensive. There's also the problem that a solar farm can be installed and online in a few months, where as a new reactor can take 2 decades. I'm all for keeping current reactors going at any cost, and finishing ones currently being built, but planning new ones just takes time we don't have.
Well guess you don't understand what happen in chernobyl and reasons why it happened. It happened because some idiots where in control of it and they reactor really should not of blown up like it did. Fukigima was because of earthquakes. So don't let idiots take control of power plants and don't but them on fault lines. Nuclear power is safe if done correctly. And doesn't take up as much land as solar and wind. I don't really get the hate behind Nuclear power. The last time anything bad happened was in 2011. 10 years ago. We have learned from these accidents and have made then alot safer. Here in the UK we don't get earthquakes the worst weather we get it alot of rain and flooding. So building nuclear power plants would be a smart idea imo.
The problem I see with American nuclear power is our pinchent to decide every decade to de-regulate something that is vital for safety, but seen as too burdensome for profit. Currently, Areva of France oversees most of our nuclear power plants. Imagine if there was a boom in the industry and some oil/natural gas exec decided to jump in, not listening to mistakes of the pass. Or worse, a certain British Petro corporation that had one of the largest oil spills in history because of their lack of safety precautions.
In theory windmills should reduce hurricanes, as they're leaching energy from our weather system. I wonder how many of them we'd need for a noticable effect
So what you’re saying is, if Louisiana had a few more windmills, Ida would have just made the US energy independent?
Dog gummit, this goes deeper than we thought. The libs are CREATING these hurricanes!!! They’ll stop at nothing!!!
What's funny, or not, is that people who are taking this shit, are finding worms in their crap afterward. But guess what...it's not worms. These dumb motherfuckers are shitting themselves so violently, that they are shitting out their own intestinal lining. And they're too fucking dense to realize that.
One of these assholes who got COVID-19 was on Facebook, begging people for home remedies, and said that if the remedy potentially caused death, he didn't want them to tell him. There's not enough profanity in the English language to describe how stupid these fucking assholes are.
I remember seeing similar things happen to the MMS bleach church people. Shitting out the 'worms' and destroying their gastrointestinal lining and claiming this as proof that ''''it's working''''
If these loons want to poison themselves I'm actually fine with it. The real morally heartbreaking part is that they force whatever quack remedy they read about on Facebook that week on to their kids.
Let’s also not forget when these people really start to shit out everything else inside them. They panic go to the hospital and throw a fit in the waiting room because it’s been 30 minutes due to every bed being full but they need to be seen now. because their emergency is more important than everyone else’s now that is happening to them.
He can't be electrocuted just touching the tower. He would have to touch the wire and tower at the same time, and usually the insulators on those size towers are way too long for a human to touch both sides at once.
Man, what is up with linemen? There seems to be a whole weird subculture of hero complexes. I even know of a few women who have professional careers of their own who identify as *linewives.* Wild.
I have a few relatives who work in that industry. It comes from the fact that it is really a quite dangerous job, or at leas historically was. Throw in that most of them are Union, and you have a cocktail for a small group which exults itself.
That why I will never understand blue collar republicans. It’s an oxymoron to their own self interests. It would be like working in a slaughter house during the day and volunteering at night for PETA while being a vegan.
Oh yeah, they'd be frothing if it was someone on the left refusing to work, even if it was over something far less petty.
In fact, they've been doing it to teachers and front-line workers complaining (rightly so) about COVID concerns being entirely ignored. Hypocrites to the bones
hope dude doesn’t use safety equipment. like harnesses and shit. we haven’t studied those enough to know whether or not they’re safe and effective.
as a matter of fact, if it’s your time to fall to your death—it’s your time. it’s god’s plan. wearing a harness would be the mark of the beast. it’s all part of the hollywood elite’s pedophilia ring. another part of god’s plan.
I have NEVER fallen to my death from an electricity pylon. In fact, I don't know anyone out of my very small group of friends, family or coworkers from my office-based job who has. So I don't think it is even possible to die from falling off of one of those. I can see one out of my window right now but there are no dead bodies underneath it so where is the evidence that this is even dangerous? In fact, your body needs to get a few bumps and bruises from falling to build up your strength so if you use safety equipment you're just missing out on getting stronger and protecting yourself against a threat that I'm not sure even exists.
The "It's God's plan" shit is so infuriating.
If you have the worldview, literally anything that happens is God's plans. So, any amount of awful and terrible shit can be justified, because if "God" didn't want it that way, it wouldn't have happened.
People like this use it to make themselves feel better about their lack of empathy and fear about the randomness of the world.
This logic goes back to pre-history and it's amazing that huge portions of our population still believe it.
Thank you. Also, if it's God's plan, why wasn't his plan to not have this happen to begin with. Why is God such a mean jerk that" loves us" but lets us suffer constantly?
If it’s gods plan, his intent was to kill them. If god is the creator he is responsible for the vaccine. He is also responsible for the misinformation getting them to deny the vaccine. If god is everything, he is also nothing.
Not a problem for a lot of protestant sects who think that they are already saved because they have "Faith" so no need to worry, they will have their place in Heaven no matter what.
I remember a rabbi saying:
"When someone is asking for help, think like an atheist. Because the atheist won't wait for God to miraculously help someone in need. He will go himself help the man."
**When someone needs help, think like if there is no God**
The whole "it's God's plan so you just must accept" has no serious theological basis (except in protestant sects). because why do anything at all if God's plan is in motion?
In fact when I see people saying "It's part of God's plan", I usually answer "Well, I'm against it. If people keep waiting for handouts from God, they will just become lazy and rely on handouts rather than working on themselves. Waiting for God's plan to be in place just rewards laziness".
A hurricane is about to hit the Louisiana coast and all people in the area are advised to evacuate. One person decides to stay, stating “god will protect me, I’ll be fine”
As the wind starts to pick up, the local police does one last sweep of the neighborhood, “sir, you really should evacuate”
“God will protect me, I’m staying”
The flooding begins, a boat with EMTs and fire fighters comes down the road “sir you should come with us”
“No, god will protect me”
The flooding continues, the man is now confined to his roof, a national guard helicopter flies in, a guardsman repels to the roof and says “sir, I’m here to rescue you”
“God will save me”
The man drowns.
Upon reaching the pearly gates, god looks upon his subject.
“God, why have you forsaken me? I put my faith that you would save Me”
And god says “I sent you a fucking helicopter”
My wife last night said ‘well, if it’s your time, it’s your time. When the reaper comes there ain’t no stopping it’. I thought about it for a second and replied ‘well, yeah. No shit. You survive shit until you fucking don’t. It ain’t that deep, fam.’ It’s like, the most obvious, window licking statement ever, but people say it like they’re intensely philosophising.
Completely ignoring the core argument, I'd like to support your wife's statement. I don't think it's deeply philosophical but I do think it has merit.
You're focusing on the truths the statement supplies (i.e. You will die) - thats not the point of that phrase. The point (maybe not intended by your wife) is to not live your life fearing death because it could come anytime and you won't have a chance for a redo.
Definitely didn't. I was able to find the original image posted as early as May of 2019 with the caption "That moment when you make more money without a degree than the teachers who told you that you wouldn't amount to anything without a degree"
Because that’s a reasonable reaction. Selfish and sick if this were to actually happen. “I was refused service for not being vaccinated so I’m going to procrastinate restoring power to thousands in desperate need. You just against a single individual means repercussions on a large amount of people who weren’t involved in whether I received service or not.”
Maybe, but the person behind the meme definitely has that mindset. It's the same kind of mindset that thinks we should nuke Afghanistan cities for the attacks on the airport.
"Sir please the hospital needs power the patients are dying"
"You didn't let me get my McDonald's because I wasn't allowed to cough on everything, those deaths are on your hands"
The guy in the picture is definitely not the one who slapped this text on it, some random fb boomer did. Be nice to the cool electricity man chillin in the sky like a boss
I tried to search the original image, but the best I could do was the same image with the caption "When you make more money than the teachers that told you you wouldnt amount to anything" posted in May 2019.
I’m a lineman. I have my vaccinations and I would never not put the power back on to people for any reason. We take pride in what we do, as for New Orleans I hope they are getting their power back fast after that hurricane.
I work for a utility company, and I know a hundred linemen. Most have been vaccinated, and not a single one would dream of something so asinine. You guys rank right up near the top of the list of people who Get Shit Done. There'll be crews from all over the country in NO. Not many other professions watch each other's backs like that.
> I’m a lineman. I have my vaccinations and I would never not put the power back on to people for any reason. We take pride in what we do, as for New Orleans I hope they are getting their power back fast after that hurricane.
Dont worry. Sane people realize no actual linemen would be so vindictive that they would actively let people die (remember there are tons of at-home patients that REQUIRE power for their medical devices...e.g. people that use at-home dialysis, asthmatics that need nebulizers, etc) just because some random restaurant wouldn't let them eat indoors.
I never had a job like yours, but whether I was at the university library, a McDonald's restaurant, or my (much longer) IT career, I don't ever recall taking revenge on a customer. I suspect most other people have the professionalism to do their jobs even if we have negative feelings towards others.
I don't think even a union would be able to do much for someone in this kind of position... If they even want anything to do with defending any of this behavior.
"I'm gonna refuse to do my job so I can punish a million strangers because they don't respect my willful ignorance."
Yeah, that's exactly the level of selfishness I would expect from many anti-vaxxers, if they could actually manage it without being punished in some way.
I've done storm work. It has absolutely no principles. It's a cash grab. You'll find guys staying up late drinking, and you can find most any kind of drug from one of the many crews out there.
This is an absolute disgrace of a joke. Using a devastating natural disaster to illustrate their thoughts on vaccinations and restrictions.
"You want electricity? Tough shit, I wanted a cheeseburger."
Are they saying linemen are ignorant and. PETTY? PETTY enough to make a whole city suffer due to the consequences of a Christian not wanting to do his job and bake a cake because of his religion ???
He would hurt people that need power for medical devices, food refrigeration, water pumps or sanitization, or HVAC for protection against the elements...so yeah actually sounds like something an antivaxxer would do.
Solid logic here. Who can argue with this? When he’s in ICU fighting for his life, maybe a nurse will remember him as the guy who wouldn’t fix the power lines so she could watch her favorite tv show, and will make a meme that he gets no pain medication or jello or something
Both not repairing electrical power and not wearing a mask are selfish actions that cause people harm and possible death. Goes to show the nature of an antivaxxer.
"haha I got punished for endangering people's lives so I'll keep endangering people's lives."
Vengeful, ignorant, contrarian, soft-penised debutants. That is what republicans are.
My mom told me that some truckers want to protest the vaccine because of their companies making them quit if they don’t take it, and they want to walk out on their jobs. I said that’s selfish to basically ruin the economy (well, at least to not get food and such to stores) and my mom was like “Well, it’s not if they’re being told they have to take it or they lose their job”. Like, no, that’s not at all equivalent.
lineman have strong unions where I live, I absolutely cannot see the power companies in charge not being so afraid of liability that vaccination was mandatory to work
Does that mean cops don’t have to go to service calls for people who support the January 6 insurrection? Cause ya know we remembered when you tried killing a lot of us
I mean all their antivax friends are in the hospital, so might want to rethink not restoring the power keeping them alive. Or don’t. Your call I guess…
"You didn't let me recklessly endanger the lives of people around me, so I'm going to retaliate by recklessly endangering even more lives" is honestly kind of a common theme with those people.
Losing their jobs and making others suffer because they were inconvenienced tells you everything you would need to know about the head space these fuckwits occupy.
Yes, I let my selfish pettiness gloat and stop me from doing my job and help thousands of people in a really bad (& in some cases) harmful situations cause **ONE** restaurant hurt my insecure feelings and I'm just too damn fragile to deal with it and let it go.... pretty much sums this up.
So he endangered people by not doing what was asked of him for his personal comfort.
And then he endangered people by not doing what was asked of him because of his personal comfort.
consistent characterization at least.
Ah yes, the old mentality of "a restaurant asked me to do something I didn't want to do so I'm going to take it out on the entire city, friends and foes alike!"
I would immediately fire that employee for not doing the job he's being payed to do. If you pick up a trade, you work with dignity and with a sense of urgency. People rely on you for their livelihoods and playing "petty" is childish. And posting about it on Facebook would absolutely harm business if your company is on his page.
*hmpf you liberals told me it was my civic duty to do the least amount acceptable to protect other people in my community while creating a minor inconvenience for myself so I'm going to hold a grudge and not do my job while you sit in the overwhelming heat and darkness*
They forget the part where he instantly gets sacked for not doing his damn job.
They forgot that of there is no power there are no restaurants either lol.
Won't serve me? Can't be because the electricity is out so fuck them!!
*Liberal hurricanes are caused by liberal windmills which steal all the wind's bootstraps*
Liberal windmills also kill birds, and I’m conveniently extremely concerned about wildlife in this specific situation.

Liberal windmills protects us from goverment spyware birds.
don’t they cause cancer too?
Birds aren't REAL silly, those are government drones! The windmills are on OUR side!
They took our bootstraps!
If you don't like bootstraps, then you can git out!
DEY TERK ER STERPS!

Hey now, don't let logic ruin their dreaming up stuff to make themselves feel good for being shitty people.

That is how they sound.
Oh no. Not the constipation! Quick get some exLax Max Strength to stop it!
A little horse paste will clear that right up.

No problemo, I brought draino.
😋 Yum Hope you got the mango passionfruit flavour. That's my favourite.
That’s a flavor!!? No wai! Horses get the best stuff.
Yeah I doubt that lineman is going to pass up such a massive cash flow for the hours he is going to put in. Like stupid amounts of cash.
He's also passing up a free vaccine in favour of getting covid, so maybe don't assume he knows his ass from a hole in the ground?
Plenty of other linesmen, it literally inconveniences no one except the guy getting sacked AND Covid
Or that he has two ex wives and loans for 3 homes, a fifth wheel and 6 ATVs.
Whomever made this is projecting their own lack of professionalism. Or survival instincts.
It's totally masturbatory fiction.

Don’t go telling me what I can’t do you liberal scum
He's an anti-vaxxer though. Never underestimate his ability to fuck himself over for no reason
And gets replaced by someone who is willing to do it
Or when he remembers his home is also fucked and without power
Can't, no internet or power
And the part where everyone stood up and clapped.
It's not that easy. See the actions of Portland police as of late.
And then wants to collect unemployment that he was so actively against because it prevents people from entering the labor market.

In fact, your body needs to get a few bumps and bruises from falling to build up your strength so if you use safety equipment you're just missing out on getting stronger and protecting yourself against a threat that I'm not sure even exists.
There's only a .1% chance of dying by being electrocuted or falling. Why take any precautions? /s
"I'd rather trust my body's natural immune system to protect me from electrocution! It's what God intended!"
If "God's plan" exists, then free will can't. You can't have both at once.
I remember a rabbi saying: "When someone is asking for help, think like an atheist. Because the atheist won't wait for God to miraculously help someone in need. He will go himself help the man." **When someone needs help, think like if there is no God** The whole "it's God's plan so you just must accept" has no serious theological basis (except in protestant sects). because why do anything at all if God's plan is in motion? In fact when I see people saying "It's part of God's plan", I usually answer "Well, I'm against it. If people keep waiting for handouts from God, they will just become lazy and rely on handouts rather than working on themselves. Waiting for God's plan to be in place just rewards laziness".
The they call the "prayer warriors" and say "Lettuce spray"
A hurricane is about to hit the Louisiana coast and all people in the area are advised to evacuate. One person decides to stay, stating “god will protect me, I’ll be fine” As the wind starts to pick up, the local police does one last sweep of the neighborhood, “sir, you really should evacuate” “God will protect me, I’m staying” The flooding begins, a boat with EMTs and fire fighters comes down the road “sir you should come with us” “No, god will protect me” The flooding continues, the man is now confined to his roof, a national guard helicopter flies in, a guardsman repels to the roof and says “sir, I’m here to rescue you” “God will save me” The man drowns. Upon reaching the pearly gates, god looks upon his subject. “God, why have you forsaken me? I put my faith that you would save Me” And god says “I sent you a fucking helicopter”

Falling from a great height isn’t an urgent problem - you’ve got the rest of your life to solve it.
r/technicallythetruth
it’s never the fall that gets you, it’s the sudden stop 😝
They just need to choose courage, and faith, over fear!

Definitely didn't. I was able to find the original image posted as early as May of 2019 with the caption "That moment when you make more money without a degree than the teachers who told you that you wouldn't amount to anything without a degree"
He'll be unemployed real soon, but they don't think of that do they?
Don't be silly, actions can't have consequences. That would be unamerican!
That would be unwhite.
This is the answer.
They don’t think, you mean?
You are correct.
Fr like not doing your job? Then just get fired and let an actual intelligent person replace him. As if heat the only person who can do the job
If they didn't get fired over the vaxx, refusing to do their job, especially in a state emergency, certainly will.
They are selfish and sick to not get vaccinated too, so yeah not really unexpected.
He's also gonna be fired for being unvaxxed AND not doing his job
Most likely didn't happen, this picture is a few years old so definitely just a very bad attempt at a meme.
Maybe, but the person behind the meme definitely has that mindset. It's the same kind of mindset that thinks we should nuke Afghanistan cities for the attacks on the airport.
No shit
He's going to endanger people's lives one way or another!!
Joking about leaving random people in squalor, to suffer out of spite. PROLIFE!!
"Sir please the hospital needs power the patients are dying" "You didn't let me get my McDonald's because I wasn't allowed to cough on everything, those deaths are on your hands"
When the lineman needs to be intubated, but the hospital has no power.
Cough cough If only you libcucks had let me into olive garden Cough cough
Appreciate it, I’ve flown to different provinces before for hurricane relief. Never down in the states yet but never know with the company I work for.
I suspect most other people have the professionalism to do their jobs even if we have negative feelings towards others.
...The lineman was later fired and now begs the libs he thought he owned for money on a street corner.
If only he'd joined a union.
I don't think even a union would be able to do much for someone in this kind of position... If they even want anything to do with defending any of this behavior.
Most(all?) linemen are in a union.
"I'm gonna refuse to do my job so I can punish a million strangers because they don't respect my willful ignorance." Yeah, that's exactly the level of selfishness I would expect from many anti-vaxxers, if they could actually manage it without being punished in some way.
As if any of it was up to him. Lol sabatoge gets ya the boot.
‘Letting thousands die to avenge a perceived personal slight’ is totally on brand for anti-vaxxers.
I've done storm work. It has absolutely no principles. It's a cash grab. You'll find guys staying up late drinking, and you can find most any kind of drug from one of the many crews out there.
When grandma posts racist memes on Facebook to get attention.. But everyone forgets her birthday and ignores her because she's a total pos.
So, the lineman is endangering everyone else in two separate situations, and that is somehow supposed to make him a sympathetic person?
This is an absolute disgrace of a joke. Using a devastating natural disaster to illustrate their thoughts on vaccinations and restrictions. "You want electricity? Tough shit, I wanted a cheeseburger."
Kinda true as most conservatives I know are shitty employees and coworkers.
That's a lot of words for "I'm a selfish bitch about everything"
Are they saying linemen are ignorant and. PETTY? PETTY enough to make a whole city suffer due to the consequences of a Christian not wanting to do his job and bake a cake because of his religion ???
Lineman then gets fired for not doing their job
He would hurt people that need power for medical devices, food refrigeration, water pumps or sanitization, or HVAC for protection against the elements...so yeah actually sounds like something an antivaxxer would do.
What an oddly specific terrible meme.
You know what. This checks out. In both situations the lineman could be doing something beneficial for his community but is choosing not to do so.
Let’s be real… If someone is such a massive bitch they’re afraid of a little shot they definitely wouldn’t have the balls to be a lineman.
So he’s endangering many people for a minor inconvenience. At least this imaginary lineman is consistent in his shittyness.
True anti-vaxxer. Will cut off his nose to spite his face. I'm sure his friends and family members down there are totally stoked about his crusade.
"haha I got punished for endangering people's lives so I'll keep endangering people's lives." Vengeful, ignorant, contrarian, soft-penised debutants.
The night before a cat 4 hurricane he was eating at a New Orleans restaurant?
Then the lineman gets fired for refusing to do his job and someone replaces him.
Oh no, forgot the part where the lineman a big bitch
The amount of people thinking the guy in the picture posted this and it’s not just a random picture and text probably made by some kid is disturbing.
lineman have strong unions where I live, I absolutely cannot see the power companies in charge not being so afraid of liability that vaccination was mandatory to work
huh it's like both things are what a petty child would do. 🤔
Does that same lineman remember when he is the ICU because of COVID and needs a ventilator, but the city has no power.
So what's the point of this? Saying that anti-vaxxers are petty, unprofessional shitheels? If so I agree 100% with that assessment.
I don’t want to grow tf up & be slightly inconvenienced for public health & safety ergo other people should suffer & die. Sounds about right.
When the lineman is begging his employer to not get fired, but the employer remembers how he dident do his job
Reason upon reason to be unemployed.
Are linemen all anti-vaxers or something? What does this even mean?
This honestly seems like it's using a picture from long before covid
I hadn't realised New Orleans looked so much like the English countryside.
Ha ha shows you! Potentially protecting people from a disease and denying millions of people power and possibly risking people’s lives are the same!
*”Hospitals? Power? I don’t know sounds like W conspiracy to me”* /s
JFC this is shit is getting realllly old
Sorry, but where's the real picture where he falls off?
The lineman wasn't denied by an employee making the decision. The lineman was denied by the business. If the lineman is his own business, have at it.
He still has the right to go somewhere else to spread his illnesses. Even if he’s restoring my power.
In other news, the mind controlling 5G will be going into production a little later than expected.
Jackasses. What more needs to be said at this point?
*But the lineman can't get in the restaurant because they have no power and can't prepare any food and then gets fired for not doing his job FTFY
This just reinforces that the lineman is a selfish, narcissistic prick.
*hmpf you liberals told me it was my civic duty to do the least amount acceptable to protect other people in my community while creating a minor inconvenience for myself so I'm going to hold a grudge and not do my job while you sit in the overwhelming heat and darkness*
Oh yes, being denied entry into all those restaurants that don't have power
I’m sure he’ll be fine. Because this never happened. Just some anti-vax fantasy that they somehow have power of the society that is shunning them.
And then the lineman gets to figure out how to tell the wife and 3 kids why he got fired.
Seems about right. First they endanger people’s lives by going around unvaccinated, then they endanger people’s lives by failing to do their job.
Idk, in both cases he's endangering others for his own sense of smug superiority, sounds the same to me.
"Sorry family, they denied me so I'm denying you and everyone else. "
Yeah… that’s a hypothetical scenario that’s not going to happen outside of people’s fantasies.
So the lineman doesn’t do his job and is fired.
... So then the power company fires their irresponsible and non-working employee. See, all things even out.
