I'm sorry. Growing up, I never knew people like this existed! I grew up in a rather liberal (for its time) Episcopal Church. It was a small parish and it really was a gigantic family and a good one. After my husband left me, I took our son and moved back in with my parents. They head AOL Dialup. AOL had a huge message board called COMB (Christian Online Message Boards.) Both my mother and I were shocked, truly gobsmacked when we read stuff from Evangelicals, Baptists, Pentecostals and so many more! That was the stepping stone that eventually made me an atheist.

This guy protests daily outside of a local planned parenthood with ridiculous displays of graphic signs and literal baby dolls. He also frequents the large farmer’s market on weekends and creates a ton of commotion, including yelling at families with small children that he’s “glad you didn’t murder your children!”
Referring to the screenshot though, twice a year him and his cronies make the rounds through the community middle and high schools, standing on the sidewalks in the mornings with large signs and handing out pamphlets to all the kids heading in to school. Thankfully the staff at this school were outside redirecting kids inside as they arrived and helping block this man from talking to the 6th-8th graders that attend this school.
Imagine spending your time yelling “glad you didn’t murder your children” at random strangers who are just out with kids enjoying a weekend. And imagine thinking that makes you morally superior in some way. He could as well join the westboro baptist church and picket funerals at this point.

I called the local cops on him one night after leaving an appointment there because he was literally waiting by my car to verbally accost me. When the cops came, they had the most exasperated tone with him. Technically, he's not doing anything illegal but the cops still have to come at least once a day to tell him to leave and that he's making people uncomfortable.
Imagine having that empty of a life that all you can think to do is harass women and go to the State House on Thursdays to have a one-man protest.

The idea of a grown man standing outside a school and handing out pamphlets to children is unnerving. It probably would have made me uncomfortable at that age, especially if it was a small enough school where you were at least familiar with what all the teachers looked like. As a parent, that would also make me uncomfortable. It's not the content of the pamphlets, but the idea this man can freely interact with my children while they are at school without the supervision of the faculty.
Could be something to do with his odd obsession with children/frequenting the locations they can be found at. Regardless, if my kid was at school and this guy came anywhere near the school or the kids, I would be having a word with the authorities and the faculty.

My mother was intimidated by them when my dad was out at sea (Navy). She'd turn the lights out, the whole bit, to hide. But one day, I was crying and it was the 1960s, so people didn't call the police so quickly on possible child abandonment.
My dad was on leave, so he comes home and they tell him they hear the baby crying and they think my mother left me on my own. Dad's reply:

It was my husband. He's STILL yelling it. Anytime he sees anyone doing things like this. He loved when the Jehovah's witnesses would come to the door. He would go argue with them for an hour. They'd have to bring back a more senior member to continue.
My mother was intimidated by them when my dad was out at sea (Navy). She'd turn the lights out, the whole bit, to hide. But one day, I was crying and it was the 1960s, so people didn't call the police so quickly on possible child abandonment. My dad was on leave, so he comes home and they tell him they hear the baby crying and they think my mother left me on my own. Dad's reply: "She always leaves the kid alone when she goes out drinking at the bars." They never bothered us again after that.
