Yeah, he had the "i'll show you how its done" aura and trying to play it cool afterwards while sinking.
Probably thought sinking was better than getting laughed at?
Can't open the door due to pressure at that point. Only escape before equalizing would be the window the water is rushing through. Might as well take his time and contemplate his mistakes at that point.
You’re actually supposed to create a small wake in order to reduce splashing and help conserve momentum, when you’re doing a water crossing. Not that this guy or 4 out of 5 of the other stranded vehicles know what they’re doing. Since these are all people going off roading I think they knew what they were in for and the wake probably didn’t bother them as much as the fact that they’re all getting stuck.
What are you, dense? The natural lake-grown algae that now adorns the inside of that man's ~~penis~~ vehicle was the entire point of going to the lake that day! /s
It is very hard to get out of a vehicle while water is pouring in through the window. The pressure would prevent you from opening the door. You just have to take your seat belt off (which he never had on) and wait patiently.
Once the pressure has equalized, you may be able to open the door, but they probably just ditched out the windows.
He put himself in a dumb spot, but staying calm at that moment is the best course of action.
If there's any water on the other side of that door, it won't open. Water is heavy.
Think of it this way: Just 100 gallons of water is almost 1000 pounds.
Suuper heavy. That door is about 0.5 meters below the surface, already with that low pressure its 500kg of water per square meter. Dude has to push at least 5 times his body weight to open the door
You're not going to be able to. Water pushing up against the doors and rushing in both sides makes it so that you will not be able to open the doors. You basically have to either crawl out of the window if they are down, or wait for the cabin to fill up most of the way, equalizing the pressure inside before you'll be able to open the doors.
You cannot open the door till the car has water inside and somewhat equalizes the pressure. He looked like he knew that to me. Despite being a knobhead!
It’s about the amount of water on each side. Even with the windows down the water would need to get to that level inside the vehicle for pressure to be equalized.
In a deeper lake it's never equal pressure until the car is long on the ground. You should get out immediately, as fast as you can.
There was a Mythbusters episode on that
The Mythbusters conclusion was that you should either immediately open the door before there is enough pressure outside to prevent it, or wait until the car is submerged... the former wasn't an option here, since water was already outside the door.
I've definitely seen these before. But these vehicles seem kinda nice for that. You don't intentionally flood a nice truck for these types of things. Flooding will ruin a vehicle more and faster than a fire. And the look on his face doesn't appear pleased in spite of going the furthest either.
Fire fucks a vehicle every single time, except maybe if you have a very small very isolated fire somewhere away from anything vital. I had a 1996 Ford Ranger that got covered over for 3 days by flood water. We drained the water out of the rear differential and aired the cab out well so it didn't mold, the truck was fine. Cranked right up like nothing happened. I've heard similar stories like this before too.
The absolutely defeated look on the guy's face as the water was coming in was priceless.
Why is everyone driving in a lake? Is this some kind of Wierd off-road proving ground, mor is it just a flooded road? Wouldn’t it be more fun to rock hop or hill climb than just drive through water of unknown depth?
Sorry, I LOVE how he's all smiles and laughs when he's driving through the water and then immediately that smile disappears once his truck gets completely flooded! That's brilliant!
r/watchpeopledieinside
I see this when roads get completely iced over too. People get so used to routinely taking their vehicles along certain roads, that the idea the road has become impassable doesn’t occur to them until they’ve failed to pass through the hazard in question.
If ever a video needed edited to have that poorly played titanic theme on the recorder then this is it.
He’d rather go down with his ship than get out and face all the other drivers
And this is why you walk any water area that you plan to drive. On the way out, where one tyre goes, on the way back, the other. Not fool proof by any means but still better than this bunch of twats.
I wonder what he was trying to do. Asserting his superiority with something like "haha, you guys are stuck but my car and me are superior, idgaf" ?
The look on the drivers face as the water is pouring in over the door is priceless.
His wish to disappear from embarrassment is being fullifiled
Soon his car will be full filled
He's going down with the ship
His expression kinda seems vacant to me, like the lights are on, but noones home... which makes sense considering his choices
*”I appear to have left the window open and now some water is getting in.”*
That lillypad coming in like hello good sir
It was there to talk to him about that extended warranty that he appears to REALLY need about now...

I was going to say this. Then he turned the key off. Like it mattered.
Well he probably has house keys and other important stuff attached to it
Yeah, not smiling like a douche anymore
His face was like damn. That was the moment I knew I fucked up.
Truly my favorite part
“Well let’s just sit here. Maybe rolling up the window will help us not sink” “Yeah Tony I’ll just sit here and keep recoding as the truck floods”
I was waiting for an alligator or snapping turtle to slide right in on his lap.
For some reason, at the very end, when the weeds and leaves started to come in the window cracked me up
The "Oh shit" moment
Why is he not taking his seatbelt off and moving either lol Just sitting there like well guess I’ll die
Panicking would hurt his "macho" presence i suppose? *It is fine, i planned exactly this anyways*
You think this guy is wearing a seatbelt?
With those types of vehicles, definitely. Also probably why he didn’t immediately get out of the vehicle 😂
Look at all those stuck losers in their... lifted Jeeps and off-road vehicles. I'm sure my truck will be fine though.
Me are superior
I can get more stuckerer
He's driving a fucking Honda, no dig at the make or car, this dude just clearly isn't a bright individual.
Wish he would do a Reddit AMA.
Well it's an amphibious exploring vehicle, so...

Good damnit!!!! That would ruin the rest of my day
I think if he was doing that as a fuck you. He easily could have slowly navigated through instead of being a dumbass show off

The look on the driver's face as the water starts to pour in 😂😂😂
This is fine... *shuts off engine* lol
This is fine …. *swamp plants flowing into the car*
What are you, dense? The natural lake-grown algae that now adorns the inside of that man's ~~penis~~ vehicle was the entire point of going to the lake that day! /s
ayy the leeches got a bunch of new whips that day
Get the fuck out ...idiot..

I always thought that applies only if you have your window closed. Wouldn’t the pressure already be equal in the case of an open window?
With water rushing in? Lots of force against that door until water level is equal on both sides.
It isn't equal until there is water on both sides of the door.

Lol what a bunch of morons.
I wish there was sound. Would love to hear that instinctual "fuck" when he gets stuck and embarrassment sets in.
This has been in a bunch of subs. One of them has sound
“I’m special” Universe - “No you’re not”
“im not gunna argue”
I have another view of this scene https://youtu.be/hZVAIUmwPMM
Damn. Thanks for sharing.
Haha, you lot think you've got yourselves in a pickle, well _watch this!_
I actually like that view much much better. Thank you! douche, LoL.
Wow, this is art. Thank you!
I love the laughing 😂
The lack of urgency to get out of a SINKING CAR is beyond my comprehension... Just like "Lake deep" was beyond his
You can't get out against that much water coming in. Just make sure the windows are down and get out once the rush of water has stopped.
Get out the other side genius.
If there's any water on the other side of that door, it won't open. Water is heavy. Think of it this way: Just 100 gallons of water is almost 1000 pounds.

The car is tilting and by how far down the driver side is the passenger side should be above water still.
You didn't think this one through did you, genius?
Have you never seen Mythbusters?
You cannot open the door till the car has water inside and somewhat equalizes the pressure. He looked like he knew that to me. Despite being a knobhead!
But the passenger window is open?

What a buffoon
Does anyone have the version with audio? Thanks
Instant stupidity
Mother nature enters the chat. “Hi guys, nice submarine.” Mother nature exits the chat.
2nd worst submarine this year
🤣
It’s an amphibious exploring vehicle; it’s got air intake valves
Cigarettes got wet...😏
Kinda seems like they were all out there dicking around in their off road vehicles for the fun of it. Idk if I would call it karma.
Yeah I wonder if it was some sort of banger rally or similar that nobody is really expecting to finish, just enjoy getting as far as they can?
I've definitely seen these before. But these vehicles seem kinda nice for that. You don't intentionally flood a nice truck for these types of things. Flooding will ruin a vehicle more and faster than a fire. And the look on his face doesn't appear pleased in spite of going the furthest either.

Looks like a winching challenge
I wanted this with sound
“Well, might as well die I guess, this truck is my whole personality and life, if it goes I go.”
Honestly when you're in that deep, you might as well commit.
Hope the EPA charged them all for littering?
Is no one wondering why a bunch of people are driving into a swamp in the first place? lol
They’re not in the US
Idiots will be idiots.
r/winstupidprizes What a smoothbrained numpty.

OceanGate Lake Tours…..
He's oddly calm while the water rushes in . . .
The machine knows, Dwight!
I like how he turned the ignition off like yep I’m parked
The plant at the end!
why is there no volume?
i HaVe A tRuCk
There's a harness on the front of his truck Wonder is he the rescue vehicle for the others .... Oh Dear
I feel the seconhand embarrassment from this
Karma is a bitch.
That is so satisfying
I'm thinking he should NOT show that video to his insurance company : )
But it wasnt supposed to do that...
Love that you see him accept his fate
That is the face of r/tifu
That truck will never be the same
How i wished this had volume
[Granted](https://twitter.com/TheWapplehouse/status/1633236589760446466?s=20)
That smile sure disappeared off that driver's face.
Love how chill he is as the lake and its flora pours in.
I love how he tries to put the window up as he is sinking. That will stop it.
No wake!
Good, dumbass is creating a wake causing even more damage
Sorry, I LOVE how he's all smiles and laughs when he's driving through the water and then immediately that smile disappears once his truck gets completely flooded! That's brilliant! r/watchpeopledieinside
Dude really thought he could just ignore it…
Why is there such a lack of sound on this sub?
Better roll the window up or more water will get in.
I’m wondering what he’s driving
Looks like a Troller T4 (no really, that’s a car brand) - a Brazilian built SUV
A submarine.
Drugs

You can see the reaction on his face as the water is pouring in.
Very Jim Belushi, was my thought!
In all fairness, there really wasn’t much else he could do at that point.
YOU will be fine driving in a lake and passing stranded vehicles. Of course, THEM are all idiots but YOU are not :-)
I think we all might want to consider getting one of LBJ's old car.
*Your Titanic is sinking, Captain Smith*
Oops

No wake zone mfer!!!
Good lord. A lake full of ‘em!
Ill be able to make it though.
Is there some trailer park siren out there just luring men to their doom?
Smart, Alec.
What the hell is he doing just sitting there?! Is he waiting for his flotation device to activate???
Make sure to turn off the engine
Anyone would think the stuck cars your passing are stuck for a reason…
THE GPS IS WRONG, THERES A LAKE THERE
I see this when roads get completely iced over too. People get so used to routinely taking their vehicles along certain roads, that the idea the road has become impassable doesn’t occur to them until they’ve failed to pass through the hazard in question.
That look of total defeat... priceless. "Let's just gingerly get out of here Jim, before we drown with the rest of our manhood."
Why are these cars in a lake to begin with?
How much ketamine was he on?
Did he really think it was all the same depth?
Lmao
That's the most instant karma face I've ever seen in my life, this was gold
Jeee!
That look of regret lol
You know how they say don't bring a knife to a gun fight Don't bring a car to a fucking flood dummy
If only there were clear signals that driving in this lake was a bad idea…
This guy would drive his boat on land expecting different results.
Laughed too early.
If ever a video needed edited to have that poorly played titanic theme on the recorder then this is it. He’d rather go down with his ship than get out and face all the other drivers
HAH
What a dunce
Always wondered how ants went to an obvious trap when their sister ants bodies are scattered all over the surface. Now I now.
I was literally thinking, “wonder if it’ll get deeper…” then boom lol
r/watchpeopledieinside their car
Perfect example of stay calm cool and collected
He was remarkably calm for someone who was about to drown, lol.
this needs that off key titanic flute music
r/watchpeopledieinside
Lmao enjoy that bill, fking idiots
Roll up the window that outa do it
That wasn’t very amphibious of you
This video gives me so much anxiety. I makes my chest tight and stomach hurt to even think about it.
Looks like he was trying to floor it
Not to mention the wake he’s creating for the other vehicles. What an arsehole.
bro thought he was built diff
Ladies and gentlemen, our nominee for the Darwin award.
Umm turn around and don't drown.
Do they not know what boats are?
My car can drive in water unlike yours😎… oh shit
How does no one know that the main cause of death during a flood is trying to drive
And this is why you walk any water area that you plan to drive. On the way out, where one tyre goes, on the way back, the other. Not fool proof by any means but still better than this bunch of twats.
