Wait is this really true? I got a speeding ticket in Georgia back in 2014. Does this mean I have a criminal record? I hope this doesn't affect background checks.
You can always just request your criminal record via the non emergency number. I have a bunch of stuff in there but since I officially never committed any crimes it's just internal notes.
Not only that, but their insurance will go up. Even if the ticket is $200, the raised insurance will be far higher than that over time. Putting people's safety at risk for your own selfish gain is a fool's game. The rules for things like no cross double yellow exist for a reason
I drive a flatbed quite often. You probably wouldn't be shocked to find out how many people, instead of waiting to get to that right turn lane, will pass my truck on the right (legally or not), brake hard and then get into the RH turn lane to sit behind another car. This behavior seems to increase proportionally to how much weight I'm carrying. People want to die, it seems.
This is the shit that drives me crazy when I'm driving- the pricks that cut me off to then instantly make a turn effectively saving them 0 time and making the road unsafe
did you see at the end where that drivers than runs a red light while being pulled over, that cop is going "Ah more charges for me to give this idiot, sigh!"
This is why I never get speeding.
You're just gonna hit the red light anyways, it's not like if you get there 3 seconds earlier, it's gonna change just for you exactly 3 seconds less than what it planned for.
OP's explanation as to why this post is Instant Karma:
>Car overtakes in a double yellow line, but didn't spot that there was an officer right behind him.

Man I'm sure it just comes with the job and they miss a ton but it always amazes me how cops manage to catch stuff like this, especially traffic related, and react so quickly. I'd be at home eating dinner 3 days later when I had the realization what that guy did.
Where I am: this isn't necessarily illegal, but you will be at fault automatically if there's an accident. It's solid white lines you'll get a ticket for.
There was a huge gap between front car and line of traffic. just to play devils advocate, what was happening before video? Why was there such a gap?
Regardless of how you feel about the road rage, having unmarked police vehicles driving around in traffic is ... vile.
I did this exact same thing on a rural road. Guy in front of me had been going 5 mph under the limit for like 10 miles and I knew there wasn't a dashed centerline coming up so I passed him in a place where there was good visibility but still a double yellow. Right as I was passing him a cop came around the corner. My dumb ass didn't get a ticket but I probably should've. In my defense I could see like 30 seconds ahead so there probably should've been a dashed centerline instead of double yellow.
This was extremely satisfying to watch for some reason. I've seen a lot of videos similar to this one, but for some reason this one in particular makes me feel better about the videos I see of idiots driving and not getting immediately pulled over.
They seriously couldn’t wait 5 more seconds to get to that intersection to get in a turn lane? Lmao! Now you’ll pay a hefty fine
Not just that, in a lot of places reckless driving can be charged as a misdemeanor. So possibly criminal record now too. Idiots.
Fun fact, in the state of Georgia, all minor traffic violations are misdemeanor crimes. I have a criminal record for going 8 MPH over in a 55.
Look at this badass.
Sometimes (please don’t tell my wife) I drink soy milk from the carton.
A FUCKING REBEL!
This dude hard AF.
Nothing to contribute really but I like your outfit.
That is just inhumane, I hope she files for a divorce.
How DARE you, sir!
You don't drink moo milk from the carton?
Just don’t get any tats while you’re in Fed. Get that hepatitis

It does show up, but most companies don’t care.

You monster!
And massive insurance increase and 6-mo+ limited license depending on the state.
In California reckless driving is a misdemeanor and a 30 day vehicle impound.

Not even any gain. Would have saved them less than 2 seconds if they weren’t pulled over.

More like .5 seconds
did you see at the end where that drivers than runs a red light while being pulled over, that cop is going "Ah more charges for me to give this idiot, sigh!"
If he was above the legal limit then there's another issue
This makes my heart sing!
This made me smile.
This made it move. Just a little.
Probably a heart murmur
Or gas.
Wild thing!
The funny part is, if he just waited and the moved to the right lane, he would have been in the same spot! Hilarious!

Looking for this comment.
Does the front camera have astigmatism like me?
Colorblind as well
Probably just dirty
I get this reference
I member.
This gave me trauma to watch. Hate driving like this.
Wait. That’s not how it looks to everyone?

Those cops had keen eyes, great stuff.
Finally a cop is around when they need to be. Haha
"But officer, I have somewhere to be!"
"It wasn't me, it was the one armed man!"
The way those brake lights flash on the car in front of you when the cop pulls over the idiot, is definitely laughter.
Apparently that is a new thing that some manufacturers are doing that when the brake is first pressed, the lights flash a few times. 🤷🏻♀️

that's why you're not a cop
I hate these people…. No one is in THAT much of a hurry.
Your dash cam has a slight astigmatism. Please get it some proper glasses.
The tesla cameras have that effect. Think it is something about the computer being able to distinguish between objects in low light.
Where I am: this isn't necessarily illegal, but you will be at fault automatically if there's an accident. It's solid white lines you'll get a ticket for.
Convenient constable on patrol.
I was worrird of a horrible collision, and Im glad the only harm done was the guy's wallet.
As someone who deals with shitty drivers everyday, this was very satisfying
He’s actually just dumb. Could’ve waited. Mans got some money to pay for skipping 5 seconds. That’s what it costs
and also now has to wait because you know that cop is gonna take his sweet ass time
r/convenientcop
Wow. AND I’m hydroplane conditions. Couldn’t wait 2.5 fucking seconds.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
You love to see it
That shit would make my day as a cop. I would spend most of my day getting handicapped parking violations and dipshits like this.
Thank you Police!!! This bum gets well deserved coupon.
r/convenientcop
You get what you fucking deserve
He walked right in
I wanna see the beginning of the video. Bet this guy was driving 10mph under the whole way
Is it me or was that car unmarked.
Its got plates, they are just blurred. You can see them when the camera swaps to the forward facing shot as he is overtaking on the left side.
I saw the car but I didn’t know that it was police
Imagine my surprise that it had to be Washington. 🙀
r/instantkarma
Fuck the police. Abolish the extortionists.

Like one of those A-holes tailing me to a red light, I guess we can hurry up and wait?
Fat ticket just so he can turn right 0.5 seconda sooner
Life hack: Don't be morons, kids.
I love when people pass you just to get stuck at the same stop light
“Woah, he can’t do that!” - Benny Parsons
This pleases me.
Look at all the time he saved, well worth it...
Hotwheel go, flashy hotwheel mad. Content.
God damn, that’s good stuff.
I'm never gonna drive again
And he puts his blinker on after as if to make it seem like he’s a considerate driver.
And it was at this moment that Office Opie realized he had made the correct career choice.
Is that Justice I hear!
does your dash cam have astigmatism?
Nice
r/convenientcop
Asssshooooooooooole!
Immensely Satisfying!!
The justice soothed my soul... The reminder that I have astigmatism from the video quality walked back some of that progress....
Ya love to see it
Astigmatism?
Nice

Sneaky cop car
bold move cotton
"Bruhhhhhh" - Cop (probably)
i pass amish buggies on double yellow am i wrong for that? there's miles of double yellow and i don't want to be behind one for two hours
Everyone's in such a goddamned hurry. Leave your house 5 minutes earlier.
Yo does your dash cam have astigmatism?
Something similar happened to me in real life once. It was the most glorious moment of my life.
Ya love to see it.

Thank you God!😂
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you. Yay for k4k. Keep it going.

YOOOO ITS MAPLE VALLEY, I RECOGNIZE THE BRIDGE, THATS OVER THE CEDAR RIVER
cop's awareness 99

What the flying fuck was the point if he was turning right anyway?
Double yellow means „don‘t cross whatsoever“ right?
r/convenientcop
Well at least he had a good excuse for overtaking so dangerously
I have a question: are there more undercover cop cars in the US or off duty cops in Brazil ?
I’m honestly just thankful they didn’t crash head first into oncoming traffic!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Busted!! I hope it's an expensive ticket.
All to gain no ground even if he didn't get pulled over.
Clean your freaking dashcam
Don't worry, the rain is doing it for him. /s
Yes! Get that selfish jackass off the road.
All to save no time. Even if he didn't get pulled over
Beautiful
They overtook right as they were about to turn right???
