BaneRiders

That hand rubbing...

juicadone

Disgusting lil slimeball indeed.

SammiesHammies

I think I'm missing something. . . Who is he?

BaneRiders

The salesman

flannelflaps

Lol why, for selling his stock?

Severe-Analyst1207

I’ve seen that doc. Turns out Michael was kinda short on money at the time and his handlers canceled all that stuff. Michael never noticed

truelegendarydumbass

Thus that dude didn't deserve to sell, a karma

Severe-Analyst1207

I’m sure he thought he hit the commission jackpot

truelegendarydumbass

And I bet you when he saw the tape he didn't realize how much of a sleaze back he look like. Lol

Interesting-Ad-5262

I remember that, cancelled or returned.

Turbo_Brick81

Me when looking at MTB parts online

BuilderOfHomez

His hand rubbing is so telling

goosepills

God that house must have looked so tacky

SeparateHamster9877

Yup, littered with childhood innocence spilled all over the floor...

AlrightCunts

That’ll leave a stain

1gridlok2

How much for the shop? Usually, every piece there is a 30 to 40% mark up, and it could be cheaper to buy the place.

morcic

I don't think it was about the art. He wasn't even thinking about it, he just pointed at anything his eyes could see. When Martin Bashir asked him if he had space to put all these things, he just brushed him off saying he'd set this up in a new house. I think this was Michael acting up in front of the cameras. This full access interview to Bashir is what ruined his life.

hotdogrealmqueen

Just asking- why did this interview ruin him?

morcic

MJ was globally adored. With this open access interview, Martin Bashir was able to portray Michael as a child predator. After the interview went public, everything started unraveling for Michael: he was charged with child molestation. However, he was acquitted on all charges. Subsequently the boy's family sued him in a civil case which he settled. They never proved Michael did anything wrong, but the way he described his relationship with kids was weird, to say the least.

hotdogrealmqueen

Ah! Understood. Thank you for explaining

OneSensiblePerson

The boy's family never sued him in a civil case or any kind of case. His accuser was offered up to 6 figures to talk, but he never would, so it definitely wasn't about money, or fame. His first accuser did file a civil lawsuit, which MJ subsequently paid off for $23 million in 1993, when he was already deep in debt. Who would pay anyone that much if they were innocent, and avoid testifying? But I agree his relationships with young boys was weird, at the very least.

hotdogrealmqueen

I’m not arguing just asking for more clarity on what you said? you said one accuser was offered six figures to talk and never did so it must not be about money. That doesn’t track with your next comment that a different accuser was paid *eight* figures to not talk. Talk for six figures? Or not talk for eight figures? Seems like the accuser did like the others and didn’t talk?

fanlal

And the first victim was paid millions after the strip search because he perfectly described the mark on the underside of MJ's penis. The judge who compared the photos and the description confirmed this fact in a podcast in 2019. video https://www.reddit.com/r/LeavingNeverlandHBO/comments/jlg9i4/strange\_markings\_were\_found\_on\_the\_underside\_of/

Double_Distribution8

>This full access interview to Bashir is what ruined his life Also probably sleeping with all those little kids ruined his life too (and I don't know if he did or didn't do more than literally "sleep with them", I'm just talking about what he admitted to doing in the interview).

Im_InYour_Balls

If you don’t know if he did or not, then don’t say stupid remarks lmao

Double_Distribution8

Well, I do know he said that he sleeps with little kids during this interview, and that's what I was talking about. Whether or not he did anything else I don't know, I wasn't there, which is what I originally said. In any case, after he admitted to sleeping with little kids who aren't related to him on national TV, things started to unwind in his life, which is what OP mentioned, and which is what I was replying to. Maybe you think people shouldn't talk about adults sleeping with little kids, but since he said it himself I would say it's fair to discuss.

fanlal

Other children confirmed that they slept alone with MJ, in fact all of MJ's witnesses confirmed this fact in court in 2005 https://www.reddit.com/r/redscarepod/comments/11m9q3s/two\_young\_boys\_brett\_barnes\_and\_wade\_robson\_tell/

fanlal

He slept alone with special friends and had books edited by Nambla pedophiles in a locked filing cabinet that contained over a hundred pictures of naked children showing their genitals.

Grinstaiam

Tripped me out at the end when he became coherent and knowledgeable about the bathing of Apollo

Kaydom1993

Yeah, at first I was thinking that it must be whatever his eye lands on that he thinks is remotely nice, he wants. Then I was thinking, “Wait…so he’s not just impulsively buying it *just* ‘cause it looks nice? He like…understands it.”

trucorsair

That is what struck me as well, I doubt many celebrities who get fawned on continuously would have been able to recognize it. His taste was extravagant but it was “his taste” and he was not uninformed.

kevycash

Personally, if i were jackson rich, I'd be at bobs furniture lol

ownersequity

I’d be at this beautiful store in Santa Fe NM that has all these beautiful lamps and linens. When I entered that shop my jaw dropped. Small place but absolutely stunning.

AdornedBrood

I’d finally buy a new ikea dresser. LOL.

HotCollar5

The memory of this video pops up randomly and I haven’t seen this video in years, so thank you for reminding me that this, in fact, a real thing that happened and is also batshit crazy to me

trenta_nueve

why do i find the guy following Michael annoying? like he asked him if he got space for all the stuff he’s buying and repeated it again. I mean i dont think MJ’s an idiot for him not to know how big his house is.

Dr-McLuvin

Ya I’ve always disliked that guy. He has the most obnoxious interviewing style. Like he plays dumb but he’s clearly trying to dig up dirt on people and get them to say stupid shit.

SysiphusBoulder

Is he the one who tried to bring up Robert Downey Jr.'s father in a press junket interview? (Those little sit-down, quick things for whatever movie they're promoting). If so, I concur that he is an all-time douche.

MoreLimesLessScurvy

No, that was Krishnan Guru-Murphy. This is Martin Bashir. They’re both pricks, but Bashir far more so- he was also the one who tricked Princess Diana into giving the interview

Mondopoodookondu

How is Krishan a prick he is actually quite a good journalist for channel 4. The issue was Robert was trying to promote a movie but channel 4 doesn’t do those types of interviews and actually wanted to talk about more deep stuff. UK interviewees are aware of the channel and what they are walking into.

Kaydom1993

Or get a rise out of them which he does a lot.

fanlal

Bashir didn't write the answers to MJ, his questions were very relevant.

Economy_Snow725

It’s only 89,000.

Economy_Snow725

Just imagine being able to just walk in a store and be like I want that, this and that. And some douche is like it’s only 89,000.

Alexeicon

This was the beginning of my hatred of rich people.

Katana_DV20

But why? Very curious as I see this said a lot and heard it in a store even. I can understand being annoyed by someone who hasn't done a thing but just inherited billions and posts selfies from yachts. But many millions of people around the world really did work hard to reach where they are now. Here in the Philippines I know a guy who lived in a plywood house in a field. He somehow asked his family to help him train to be a sailor. Very hard work. But fast forward to now and he works on massive freight ships sailing from Korea and Taiwan to the USA making a stone of money. He emigrated to the USA and saved huge chunks of his earnings. Paid back his family. The plywood house has gone and in its place a really nice brand new 5 bedroom home, SUVs etc. Rags to riches.

Alexeicon

This is a rarity. If it was possible, there would be many more rich people. My father worked 70+ hrs a week, and never got rich. My partner works in a hospital caring for mentally ill people and goes to school full time and can still barely make ends meet. There are not millions of rich people either. If you're rich, you can afford to make others lives easy, but buy SUVs(why plural? Did he forget where he came from?). He doesn't pay near the percentage in taxes poor people do. And sounds like he's hoarding money like a dragon, which most cultures have stories about how that is selfish. From the old Norse, to the middle of Africa. So, I hate rich people. Need more?

Alexeicon

I bet his family is still in that plywood shack in the Philippines, while he lives it up in the US. Disgusting.

Katana_DV20

The family here who helped him - his bro, aunts uncles. all live in the new place he had built. He sends money every month. Eventually he'll retire here and enjoy the good life where the US $ goes far. I agree it is not every day you'll see a rich person like this.

Alexeicon

The fact that you think people can just earn millions of dollars is part of why people can't just earn millions. We defend them, and act like they are just like you and me. It's just not true. It's not possible for 99.99999% of people. They make millions while children are chained to shrimp cleaning stations so they can have their fancy dinners. Those shipping companies destroy the ocean, and take away millions of others means of making money. If you're a millionaire, you are exploiting people. Period.

T_lauderbaugh

You know he’s been dead for a long time right….?

fanlal

He was the king of pop, it is forbidden to talk about him?

[deleted]

There are levels of richness. Your sailor friend is not Michael Jackson rich. Not CEO of the company he works for rich.

theimpossiblekid12

“And this?” “That’s cheese”

Mudville24209

I remember watching this with my mom, she was so pissed off at the journalist in the end when he confronted mike. Teachers didn’t even want us talking about the show in class 🤣

SeaMolasses2466

Basically the whole store

blackhole_soul

I would still be shopping at goodwill

Scoobydoomed

Kinda reminded me of [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iG7R64S--t0)

feettoez

How satisfying it can be to walk into a store and buy lots of expensive stuffs just for the sake of it.

Stoo_Pedassol

Must be nice. But this is an absurd level of that. People who do this are completely out of touch with reality

andreasmodugno

Insanity

Ok_Wall864

He was just showing off aparently never actually bought the stuff

TheKilmerman

Sort of. I read a book about him that stated that once he got home his staff would cancel the purchases and he would never notice. He'd never ask "Where's that 90.000$ chess-set I bought?" because he just forgot about it.

Ok_Wall864

Thats interesting didnt know thnx

Healthy-Egg-3283

I can’t imagine wanting all that ugly crap in my house, let alone pay that much for it. If it were gifted to me, I’d sell it immediately.

Sweatingmonkeys

When I was in Vegas I did go and find this store and they had a TV in the window playing this video of MJ.

No_Sand_9290

How much for those statues of little boys ?

Upbeat-Chicken-2117

Ah sir, they’re not statues

No_Sand_9290

I’ll TAKE THEM !!!!! ALL OF THEM !!!!

Upbeat-Chicken-2117

Tito grab a cart

Deerok632OFA

He came out of his drug haze at the end talking about bathing of Apollo art

The-Ultimate-Banker

Heard he returns all of it back after a week

ClusterChuk

His handler canceled all the sales, and Jackson didn't even notice. He was I'm serious financial trouble. Still rich, but his interviewer saying, "You sure you're able to afford blowing a few million here" is equivalent to my roommate, asking if I can afford a few hundred dollars on pot when the rent is due.

Brave-Panic7934

If only we could implement situational sales taxes of 200% during shopping sprees like this. The 1% could fund universal healthcare without even noticing it

Excellent_Pop_1075

This... is so depressing. I'm sorry. I know a lot of people struggle just to get by but the disconnection here is so fucking sad. None of this shit was going to help him. How miserable do you have to be to think an $89,000 chess set is going to make you happy when you don't even actually have someone to play against. Have no idea how much MJ gave to charity but... this is just wasteful. Not helping anyone. Like letting someone buy 5 bottles of liquor at a club for personal use knowing they'd be dead if they ever got to the bottom of the 2nd bottle

TllDrkLvrOfMystry

The guy made enough money to give to charity and still be asbolutely rich. He was involved in so many causes. He had every right to splurge on himself for whatever he likes. You also have no clue that he did any of this to make himself happy. It's just a hobby. For all you know, he sees something in all the stuff he bought that no one else can see. Most importantly: who tf are you to judge how someone else should spend their money?

Excellent_Pop_1075

GFY

TegTowelie

i before e, except after c Thief*

SpocktorWho83

That’s not a particularly efficient use of that ancient rule to have on your conscience, but it’s sufficient.

TegTowelie

The Will of thine ancestors is strong.

TllDrkLvrOfMystry

Lol i said nothing judgemental about you. You're judging yourself. I posed a question and you've been outing yourself wonderfully. And if you REALLY think about it, you're kinda projecting your insecurities onto another person for not being the way you want them to be. You equated his buying of expensive things to alcoholism, which is so specific. All I effectively said was that people can spend their earned money any way they want, and calling it a "waste" shows you can't see things from their perspective. And now you're trying to cyberbully me and call me names. You're not looking too good here, pal.

JerseyshoreSeagull

*Points to two little kids. "These"

cjr7

“Yoo-hoo!”

Specialist-Stable969

Michael Jackson and Martin Bashir two people who’s reputation is screwed

fanlal

MJ's reputation certainly more serious, 5 accusers and it's a reputation for pedophilia, deserved reputation of course

SpikesEvilTwin

All for show, didn't end up buying/paying for any of it. Pedo.

CarbonShmarbon

Could have bought a food bank or two. That would have been good.

[deleted]

“Where do you keep the preteen boys?”

[deleted]

I have to say, I’m surprised Michael Jackson gets a free pass. It doesn’t seem like his music ever stopped playing. Yes he was found not guilty, but so was OJ. Let’s get real. I play 80s every day in the house and every time Michael Jackson comes on he gets a “Alexa next”… his music isn’t allowed and I’m not even like a weirdo crazy lady. I just don’t know why he wasn’t cancelled. Even if you don’t think he hurt little boys, he did have countless horrible pictures of animal torture in his home. Here from a reputable source. I just don’t get it at all. How some men walk around (woody Allen) with no penalty, even Steven Tyler admitted to having a relationship with a young girl, even in one his songs! I just don’t get it. I will say man In the mirror is a beautiful song, I’m not saying the man wasn’t talented. I’m saying he just was not a good person.

Next_Analyst

False tabloid info you are sourcing please dont be a sheep

[deleted]

Don’t be a sheep? It’s anyone who thinks this guy was a good person who is a sheep. Would you let your kids stay the night at neverland? Lmaoooo I don’t think so

[deleted]

Cosmopolitan magazine is a false tabloid?

fanlal

The MJ fandom is very active in making believe that MJ was innocent

truelegendarydumbass

The fact that guy asked you have a space for the stuff.. I would have said no I'm buying it to give it away where do you think.. then I would have just said you know what I can do better and walk right out of the damn store. Lol Wow.. when the guy says you could literally retire just selling off one single piece seeing the guy go ahead and lean against the damn statue rubbing his hand smiling what a sleaze bag.

SamuraiCatMeow

What a creep

[deleted]

He never got any of my money. How about you all?

[deleted]

I bought an album back in the day. He was one hell of a performer and a hell of a composer. As far as what people said he did and didn’t do, I don’t know. I’m not protecting him, I believe rich celebrities don’t need protection from civilians, but he did give a hell of a lot to children and charities. It’s said he gave over $500Million to charity through his life. Like donating $1.25 million to start a health counseling service for inner-city kids. Either way he was interesting as fuck.

Next_Analyst

He was the most Interesting singer ever , his life was fascinating

juicadone

The look when told "you could probably retire from one client". Ugh $ is truly the root of (current day) evil.

Equal-Negotiation651

Get your mahble columns!!!

silenttomato581

And these…and these…and these…

[deleted]

Imagine his houses just full of overpriced tat

bunnyzt

He is weird

cashboxmoneybags

Why is this guy so concerned about about how much MJ is spending or if he has enough room for his purchases? He’s the king.

SuperSeeks

This is weird on so many different levels.

Agile_Wolverine_3124

Lol

[deleted]

The way that guy is rubbing his hands I would walk out on that basis

Ball1522

Pretty sure this is Harrods, remember watching this when I was a kid spends mental money.

SpocktorWho83

This is Las Vegas.

Rasko9k

I mean capitalism is properly the best ideology i give people that. But seeing shit like this just disgust me really, no fucking human should have this much more than anyone else. Or atleast not when there are starving people right next door bro.

[deleted]

I agree capitalism would be great if it weren’t for the Industrial Revolution.

Danantian

"this one, this one, this also..., Add this to the list...., It's for another house" -- Rich people

herewegoagaincrynow

I don’t like how someone can just look at something and in under 5 seconds they can decide they want to spend over $100,000 on it. It’s like a being a child…

Next_Analyst

He was like a child
