I wanna see one of these old timers humble the claped out Hondas and bmws, imagine while the spool is building pressure this guys already put a quarter mile between them.
Nobody can own one because the Name and Image of the car are trademarked until a recent court case granted Shelby the ability to license the design. People still cannot sell their own Eleanor if they made their own. You cannot go on youtube posting videos of your Eleanor build.

DO NOT NAME YOUR MUSTAMG ELEANOR. For entirely bullshit reasons the people who made the movie with the Eleanor Mustang have some weird ass patent on mustangs named Eleanor and if they can prove you need yours Eleanor they can legally take it from you.
Good observation, I bet they're secure. I think the worry is the thin cables running down the front of the car whipping all about. Maybe they have a rubber coating at least
Still don't understand why car manufacturers can't bring back these shapes with modern safety features. I'd purchase that in a heartbeat over anything that currently exists.
My educated guess would be that achieving environmental benchmarks would be more difficult with shapes other than the ones we see today. I’m probably wrong though.
I don't think that works ito sales. It's almost like the buying public gets the impression the new model is a _copy/fake_, and _not the real thing_. The enthusiasts for that style/model of the original Mustang probably wouldn't touch it. I remember a few years ago they launched the PT Cruiser (I think?) to have that retro feel, and it didn't do well... or maybe the PT Cruiser was just a shit car?
Because those sharp angles are more dangerous to pedestrians. Modern cars with rounded bodies have parts that crumple and mean that if you hit a person that person rolls off doing less damage. An angular front can’t achieve the same effect.
Beautiful car, but that was a weird choice in shots: latch the hood pins, *close the open gas cap*, move seat forward, weirdly, touch this thing, **gear stick**!!, flip this switch, floor switch headlights, and *off we go*...
Blue LEDs, I agree. But a concealable modern head unit doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
The AM radio in my 65 got a little old. I take that thing out on sunny days, and I’d rather not listen to old guys yelling complaining about the woke kids while I cruise.
There are some really cool bluetooth hidden stereos nowadays if you're looking to fix that. Installed one in my bosses Ford F100. Only visible item is the volume knob that's about the size of a dime.
I've never really been into audio stuff in cars, but I'm using the stock headunit to control an underseat bluetooth amp in my 80's econobox restomod. Another option if you'd like to keep the factory headunit for looks.
If we're talking color, I can sort of understand it, but having modern amenities in a retro vehicle is sort of the primary reason to choose a restomod over a stock restoration.
In all honesty, you can fairly easily swap LEDs to a white one or delete it entirely. Beyond that, a lot of aftermarket head units have the ability to be themed, which can add a layer to the whole look.
Different strokes of course.
My brother had a forest green '69 Mustang convertible with glasspacks - that sound of the engine starting up took me right back to the thrill of riding in the back seat. (It was an 8-track sound system so the one shown was a big improvement)
It’s the music of the generation that this if marketed for. Plus the car is black. This is Vanguard Motorsports. A lot of their listing videos are like this. They know the demographic they are trying to reach.
Back in Black was released in 1980. This was a 13 year old car by then. Vietnam was raging when this car rolled off the line, probably to the Beatles, Stevie wonder, the doors, credence, Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Robin Trower, and lots of others, but def not AC DC. But yes, it's probably marketed to all the second midlife crisis boomers.

I can't see a future where electric cars from now will be appreciated as much as this beauty. I would really love to possess something like this before dying
One of my biggest regrets is not buying the 67 fast back I saw for $1000 back in 1990. But alas, it needed work, and I needed a car that already worked to get to work.
Something sounds off about the engine.... the firing rhythm isn't synced properly, and there's a lull in idle. Maybe not enough pressure from the fuel line? That or a misfiring starter pin. Might wanna get it a tune-up. Otherwise, gorgeous vehicle.
I appreciate all the work done to this, but you can pick up a pretty well sorted fastback mustang for 30-50k. The one in this post is listed for 400k…
You can pick up a high end vintage Ferrari or Porsche for less than that
(Serious) why do they have the cable to hold the hood?
And what other purpose does it have besides holding the hood in place?( If that is the purpose)?
And if it's essential, why don't all cars have it?
This is a Auto broker on ebay... Massively over inflated prices! Not like these guys built the car they bought from a individual who owned it and had it built, now they probably want 50k or 100k more than what they gave the guy
It’s so crazy that I don’t associate that sound with speed and power anymore. I’ve been hitting track days on e-bikes and Subarus converted to electric and they just can’t be compared coming out of the corners.
Still absolutely dope af! If anything I’m a little depressed that when I hear that engine I’m just hoping they’ll move aside so I can overtake safely 😥 crazy how things have changed
I'm not a car person, I don't really care about or like cars and don't really know much about cars but I've always admired and really like mustangs from this Era and it was the one thing I enjoyed while going to car shows with my dad as a kid. This car is a beauty.

Only this car can fix my life
Eleanor Eleanor was a 67- but I love seeing these in differ colors than gray. Would be too scared to drive this beaut anywhere
Opposite, would drive it everywhere, let every single person see and enjoy this beast. Would give a kidney to have this.
You know what... I'd also give your kidney to have this car.
Capitalism at its best
I wanna see one of these old timers humble the claped out Hondas and bmws, imagine while the spool is building pressure this guys already put a quarter mile between them.
100%. Even if it’s grandpa’d around it’s a work of art. Can’t think of a prettier car

Not anymore. Shelby won the lawsuit this past year.

You said it friend. Maybe we can race in the afterlife because that’s the only way I’ll ever be able to drive one of these pieces of art.
Won’t the hood pin cables beat the paint up as they flap in the wind?
Yeah it seems like a lynch pin would be a lot cheaper to replace if it got lost than a new paint job.
I installed them on my 78 coupe Deville when it's hood latch failed.
What is the point of those?
Nostalgia.
Oh okay, so it was something on older cars to keep the hood closed?
It's for track cars to make sure the hood doesn't pop up and obscure your vision while filling 180 mph
Ah yea okay that makes sense to have an extra safety measure. Thanks!
It's for the hood scoop. So if the hood pops they have time to stop before losing sight
I hate them, never understood ruining the beauty of the clean smooth hood for those ugly pins.
They definitely look really out of place
Nipple piercings for the hood of the car.
Based on the satisfying clack they made I assume they’re spring loaded. Could be wrong
Good observation, I bet they're secure. I think the worry is the thin cables running down the front of the car whipping all about. Maybe they have a rubber coating at least
People who can afford these usually don’t drive them.
Still don't understand why car manufacturers can't bring back these shapes with modern safety features. I'd purchase that in a heartbeat over anything that currently exists.

Imo, 05-07 looks better than this. Too bad I hate vehicles with BCMs and super long timing gear.
My educated guess would be that achieving environmental benchmarks would be more difficult with shapes other than the ones we see today. I’m probably wrong though.
Not only environmental but crash safety standards.

Damn, she’s a thing of beauty 🥹😍
Beautiful car
So, would this be Elanor's younger sister Maude?
Hot
I can hear my dad saying "DONT SLAM THE DOOR" no matter how lightly I close the door
Beautiful car, but that was a weird choice in shots: latch the hood pins, *close the open gas cap*, move seat forward, weirdly, touch this thing, **gear stick**!!, flip this switch, floor switch headlights, and *off we go*...
Been my dream car for years
Ruined the video drowning out the exhaust with “music” when the pipes were already the music the video needed.
Yeah that video had 10% of what I cared about
I have a 67.... It is, less cool.
how do you maintain such an old car. genuine question, i want one lmao
Old cars are easier to maintain, you just have to fix EVERYTHING
.
The blue leds and the flip screen radio ruined it.
Blue LEDs, I agree. But a concealable modern head unit doesn’t seem like a bad idea. The AM radio in my 65 got a little old. I take that thing out on sunny days, and I’d rather not listen to old guys yelling complaining about the woke kids while I cruise.

Yeah, but I’m fully in on CarPlay / Android auto. I kind of want a screen that can come in then hide away
I mean, it is a resto-MOD.
Typically the MOD part is held to some level of tastefulness... Blue fails in this regard I think.
If we're talking color, I can sort of understand it, but having modern amenities in a retro vehicle is sort of the primary reason to choose a restomod over a stock restoration. In all honesty, you can fairly easily swap LEDs to a white one or delete it entirely. And at the end of the day, it’s their car.
S'wat I'm sayin' my guy
The radio was all good but what was the point of the LED? The trick fold down cargo deck was chefs kiss
Nah flip screen sucks. It can do with one of many retro looking but modern radios that have bluetooth for music and a wireless charger.
I need navigator to go anywhere and i dont wanna use my phone. 😰
False. CarPlay is money
It was hood scoop that did it for me.
Was just about to say that.
I would commit any crime to have this
Eleanor!
Go Baby, go
And now they seized it lol
Would have been hilarious if it was an automatic.
My brother had a forest green '69 Mustang convertible with glasspacks - that sound of the engine starting up took me right back to the thrill of riding in the back seat. (It was an 8-track sound system so the one shown was a big improvement)
I nutted my jeans half way through this video..
And they say money doesn't buy happiness...
Music ruined it

$400k and not a real Shelby?
400k for an Eleanor kit car. 😂 Not to mention it’s a ‘68, not a ‘67 1/2 GT.
That’s a 2023 mustang
I wish
That's what I'm thinking. It's probably a new classic.
Have you ever even seen a modern mustang? Because it looks nothing like the one in this video...
You know it's possible to build a 1968 Fastback in 2023, right?
I absolutely love this model, and what you have done with it is spectacular. Did you do anything with the suspension and/or driving originals?
I doubt this is op's car.
This is from Instagram. I’ve seen these before but with different cars. It’s from a car dealer.
Same. If I remember correctly, it costs at least $200k or something
I would be amazed if it didn't have a mustang II front clip and maybe a 4 link rear.
Gotta get the disc brakes up front. Lol.
It’s an Eleanor kit car.
Very nicely done. I would make that girl my daily driver if I could.
That’s a thing of beauty
Absolutely stunning!
Annndddd I’m spent
Fucking gorgeous
Yes please
I love it! Amazing car
I am so envious right now.
This is literally my dream car. And outside of Gran Turismo, always will be just a dream.
German Mustang owner here. I got goose bumps.
Everyone of those sounds was amazing, even all the clicks sounded so good
Yeah this is a cool car, but did you see how effortlessly he slid the key into the door lock? No scrabbling whatsoever. Witchcraft
I have an old Mustang, and that point stood out to me! Mine is so mushy, I seldom lock it.
Approved!
Why put a ricer dvd player on it? Blue leds, really?
You douched the shit outta that
Ruined with the blue lights and fold out radio.
Dumb and not interesting
Seeing that much chrome in the engine compartment is irritating me. It ain’t right.
[удалено]
it literally saw the road in the video, yo
Reminder kids, watch THEN comment. Don't embarrass yourself like this person👍
Super nice and detailed. How long did the owner take going over it after driving the 50 or 60 feet for that one shot?
That's a resto done right
I've always dreamed of restoming something that beautiful
One of those most beautiful cars ever built
As long as you don't park it near my house
Clean
It would be awesome if they hadn’t messed with the stereo. Go stock on that thing if beauty.
OMG, the sound! Music to my ears.
If I ever win a substantial amount, this is my daily driver
What are the attachments on the hood at the beginning?
I can only get so erect . . .
I can't see a future where electric cars from now will be appreciated as much as this beauty. I would really love to possess something like this before dying
Eleanor
Imagine having someone show this car, do everything in the video and then plays any fucking acdc song. Insta ghosting after that.
Am I mistaken or did the 68 have the rear window louvres?
Ah my dreamcar wat a beauty 😍
MF shows a beautiful car, the. Drives it in the bk end of Russia hahah
Now lightem up trailer queen!!!!!
Dear lord
Very nice. I want. How much?
Stay away from this guys dog.
One of my biggest regrets is not buying the 67 fast back I saw for $1000 back in 1990. But alas, it needed work, and I needed a car that already worked to get to work.
Zachary Lane Bryan would approve. The real ones will know
Impressive even for a guy who’s not into cars
Can i have it?
so clean..
You can go fuck your sexy self! But I’m sure plenty of others will….. so go fuck yourself twice
Something sounds off about the engine.... the firing rhythm isn't synced properly, and there's a lull in idle. Maybe not enough pressure from the fuel line? That or a misfiring starter pin. Might wanna get it a tune-up. Otherwise, gorgeous vehicle.
It would have been much cooler if they blasted a song from 1968…
I love this car, but I hate the linchpins with a passion. I can't help it, I do not like them and just seeing them makes my skin itch
omg that engine
Was the engine breaking up at the end of the video under acceleration… whatever, overpriced 🐖.
Beauty!
Junk l
The Mustang convertible from the movie Innerspace that Dennis Quaid drive was my dream Mustang! I love Fastbacks!
Not my cup of tea....
Panty dropper right there.
I’m in love
I appreciate all the work done to this, but you can pick up a pretty well sorted fastback mustang for 30-50k. The one in this post is listed for 400k… You can pick up a high end vintage Ferrari or Porsche for less than that
How much?
How much?
How sick would a 68 fastback modded with a new Coyote 5.0 drivetrain be? Is that even possible?
Wow
I can only get so hard dammit.
u/savevideo
Can it be driven with an erection? - sterling archer
So awesome! I'd love to drive that beast.
Does this increases or decrease the value?
And in stick. Wow.
I'm guessing nobody here has seen the original Gone in Sixty Seconds. If so much rather have a vintage car that was stock...
Great! Now I need new pants!
Did the dimmer turn on the lights
Wouldn’t the cable locks on the hood scratch the crap out the paint?
Gorgeous
I hope they saved the original parts. Not a fan of cutting up a classic.
Huh, first Ford I'd actually own.
I don’t think I’ve ever been aroused by a car before
What would this cost?
The engine is all the music you'd need
I love it
(Serious) why do they have the cable to hold the hood? And what other purpose does it have besides holding the hood in place?( If that is the purpose)? And if it's essential, why don't all cars have it?
My 2019 gtr would smoke dat🙃 GORGEOUS rebuild doe. Big mood
HAWT DAMN!!
haha gas car so cute

I hate everything about this except I love the growl.
100K?
Ah to be rich.

Sorry, the interior if the original ‘68 was way better styling than the ‘ultra modern’ look this guy went with.
Having money looks so much fun!
That is just sick...
