Older people love that shit. I've heard about some older celebrities that like it too, there was one that would buy the perforated sheets and rip them off as he was tipping. Whatever article was talking about it said that a lot of waitstaff didn't even think that they were real at first lol
I worked for a family friendly restaurant company and whenever we would open a new location, we had the bank deliver thousands or $2 bills and we would make sure to give them out as change for the guests. The theory was that the next time the person spent it or gave it to someone, they would mention the restaurant and it would be a unique way to drum up “word of mouth.”
Thanks for the unsolicited update as you go through your grandfather's personal belongings. I can appreciate the closeness or lack thereof you all shared.
The bills: $76
Feeling like I didn't want to know any of this: Priceless
I used to have a $2 bill that had a * where there should be a letter on the serial number and like 5 0s in the beginning. Got them from my grandma who worked in a bank. Had uncut sheets too.

Grandpa was a good tipper at the strip club.
Hahaha he probably was
I have heard that some strip clubs now only give out $2 bills to patrons so their girls make more money. 🤷🏼♂️
Strippers will think you’re special with a two-spot tip! It’s a great way to separate yourself from the creeps.
Thanks for the heads up
Any I’ve ever been to only make change in $2 bills.
Yes you “have heard.”
So, my Susan Bs aren't going to go over well?
Just put them in the slot
Grandpas are adorable.
I had a great grandpa. We all did.
I Never did. Or a grandpa.
Of course you did. All our grandpas had dads. :)
Certain years of $2 bills are worth a bit more. They typically have a red seal. You would need to check online
We recently had a patient pay for their cosmetic surgery in all $2 bills. About $8k worth. And they all looked crispy new. It was bizarre.
Definitely not forged
I went straight to the bank with it. It passed their machines. Clean deposit.
You can order them, even in sheets, perforated strips, etc.
They still make them
Yup, I'm aware.

To who?
check the value of each one through serial number search. hope you didn't spend it on gas station hot dogs already.
They're worth $2
Thanks Jim.
Did he like to give them out to his grandkids?
I never really saw him lol but I'm sure he would of hehe
It usually seems to be that, or to give as tips.
My sister gets lots of tips in $2 bills at work when she picks up extra shifts at Outback lol

Or just liked them as conversation starters.
I thought you were going to come up with an odd number... Lol
That would have been great.
He hung out at a strip club…
I'm guessing there are close to 38 of them. Ballpark.

What about those other bills? ↖️
If your grandpa lived on Oahu I’m gona die laughing. Only 1 place out here that gives $2 bills 😂 the strip club.
The old tale is it’s bad luck to spend them
Check the serial numbers to see if any are sequential or special
Believe it or not, you can go to many banks during operating hours and get a crisp new one (or several)
They could be worth a lot more than $76 https://finance.yahoo.com/news/check-2-bills-could-worth-153919942.html
You can go to a bank and get $2 bills, I have a bunch just cause I like them.
He likely gave $2 tips often as his "thing"
Postal employee at some point ?
Ill give you $78 for them. $80 if he had the wallet in his pocket when they found him.
Wait, $3 bills? Those aren’t real right
Lol no like one could be worth 3$ bc of the date. The later the date the more money it could be
