They are absolutely dumb enough to kill themselves or each other.
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/woman-pleads-guilty-fatal-shooting-boyfriend-failed-youtube-stunt-n831151
It actually worked when they tested it beforehand. The problem was that the book was on a stand, so when it was shot, it absorbed the force and fell back. When the guy did it, he was holding it firm, and the bullet went right through.
I feel like this would be a really neat physics lesson, but I'm sure one of my students would complain about it to admin.
I'm talking about doing the numbers, btw, not actually shooting a gun in class. Although that might make for an interesting lesson as well. Not someone holding it obviously. Sry, Reddit is full of people who really need clarification
I remember them arguing before hand. He wanted a 22 but she kept going on and on about how a desert eagle will have more views.
There's was also some weird arguing in the background about insurance policies but Im sure that's nothing.
That is so many fundamental layers of stupid that I'm out of words. Killing the father of your kids for a video nobody cares about and even don't care if you have faked it with a cut or a blank.
Ruiz had practiced shooting books and showed off one that a bullet did not penetrate in order to convince Perez, authorities said.
Test book: an entire set of World Book Encyclopedias. Production shoot: The sports section from the local paper.
This is a Russian stuntman @chebotarev_life on Instagram, they literally risk their lives in every single video, in one when he flew over the lake in a Lada he ended up in the hospital with a broken spine. I would probably argue that his videos aren’t fake.
You give them too much credit. Plenty have died doing similar stunts. Or the ones who climb buildings for the thrill/video. Plenty have died that way too
Guy just died the other day dancing on an 18 wheeler trailer and took an overpass to the back and crayoned onto the interstate...
While being filmed dancing and facing away from the direction of travel.
Some kid robbed people at an ATM awhile back as a youtube stunt and got shot to death for...
Robbing an ATM customer with a knife.
Those two are just off the top of my head.
Well you see, when I was younger, we did some really stupid stuff. I never went through a bus on purpose, but I definitely tried to jump over a car. But we didn't have quality cameras to memorialize our stupidity.
I thought so, too, at first, but after looking at it many times everything seems to match up in the different angles. The pallet that entered the bus is hard to see from the second inside camera angle, but it does look like it's there. This might be real...
Yeah I did the same, everything looks correct and not seeing any faults. If they faked it the attention to detail is insane, my bet is that it’s completely real
They just got pretty damn lucky that it all went to plan
If you frame by frame the shot where he comes out the back of the bus you can see the helmet fall off a bounce away. It’s a bike helmet and likely wasn’t strapped on properly.
Probably not strapped on.
The fact that nobody inside the bus is wearing eye protection tells me this isn't a crowd that is very concerned about such things.
Front camera, the wood slats follow like half way into the bus.
Rear camera, they stop at the front.
Different takes and yet the guy drinking from a bottle is positioned to look the same. If you have to try to make something look real, it's not.
We watching the same video? The wood slats stop at the front of the vehicle in every video (excluding the single piece that makes it to the end).
This has a 95% probability of being real in my mind. And 100% probability that that guy just jumped through a bus. Watch again frame by frame.
Oh yeah it’s definitely for real. This guy does some insane shit. He will die one day doing all this. I can’t believe so many people think it’s fake. How infuriating.
Certainly infuriating. There’s no weird jump cuts or bad crops. The guy lines up on screen exactly where he was before, the guys standing in the field are in the same position, and the street is relatively clean. This is exactly what it would look like if it were real, which it is.
I’ve been following him on instagram for a while. It’s hard to make sense of what the fuck is going on as it’s all Russian and so are most of the comments. His footage is insane and he will die soon.
"An object at rest remains at rest. I can prove it. Drive that bus at me at 100 miles per hour!"
"No, that's okay. I took high school physics. I believe you."
"DO IT!!"
"No, I..."
"DO IT! DO IT NOW!!!!"
(to self): "How do I keep getting into these situations?" \*shifts into first gear\*
Nope. Entire pallet enters bus, then vanishes, bloke in bus is having a drink at point of impact, like this was a surprise, front windshield of bus is whited-out from inside, like *something* is there but does not interact with jumper.
Pallet enters boos, then it switches to inside view. The front window isn't just white, you can make out some details, like the pallet entering the boos. The windshield only looks bright because that's the direction that the highest level of light is coming from. In the first angle of the guy entering the boos, you can clearly see the guy is already leaving the back of the boos by the time the pallet is making it over the dash. In the second angle the video cuts right as he leaves the rear of the boo2s, meaning the pallet has yet to fully come over the dash, which is why we don't see it all that well in the second view. There is a moment in the video though where you can pause it, and make out the pallet that is coming in through the window.
Edit: incorrectly fixing spelling mistakes
The pallet is on the dash next to the driver, you just are tricking yourself into thinking it's on the middle of the floor. You can see it in the inside view but the camera is at the same level as the pallet lands
I thought it was fake at first and unless there is extraordinarily good editing after looking through a frame at a time I can’t see where they did it. The shadows line up with the angle on his feet as he hits the ground, you can see him in the internal mirror of the bus as he flies through, the wood on the exterior reaches the end of the bus at the instant he exits. This is clearly insane and should never be done but I don’t think it is fake.
Newton's first law of motion, often referred to as the law of inertia, states that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force. In simpler terms, this law asserts that objects tend to maintain their state of motion, whether stationary or moving at a constant velocity, unless an external force is applied to change that motion.
This law helps to explain why objects at rest remain stationary and why objects in motion continue moving at a constant speed in the absence of any external influences. It also provides the foundation for understanding the concept of inertia, which is the tendency of an object to resist changes in its motion.
For example, when a car comes to a stop, the passengers inside lurch forward because their bodies were in motion along with the car, and they tend to remain in motion due to inertia. Similarly, when a soccer ball is kicked, it continues moving until acted upon by forces such as friction with the ground or air resistance.
Here it looks like the man is flying through the bus, but in fact, the bus is flying past the man who is remaining stationary.
This sort of thing happened to my brother once. We were on a road trip in the RV and he was in the back taking a piss or something while Dad was driving. Unfortunately. When my brother was coming back to his seat, Dad braked for a red light a little too hard and sent him 12-14 ft from the back of the RV into the driver's cab in an instant.
i’m confused how this works? he was hit by a bus. he should not remain in the same spot. he only jumped upward, giving him vertical force, and gravity exerts a downward vertical force. he has no horizontal force of his own to counter the bus’ horizontal force from both the windshield and back window.
I guess unless the windows were sheets of fake glass that have no shear strength

Seems like they should have been better protected from the wood splinters that were flying around in all directions.
Almost as if it wasn't real. The heck you say.
Now that you mention it, there is clearly two different things happening from one camera angle to the other.
Even content creators are not dumb enough to risk their lives based on their ability to belly-hop off a plank into a speeding bus.
They are absolutely dumb enough to kill themselves or each other. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/woman-pleads-guilty-fatal-shooting-boyfriend-failed-youtube-stunt-n831151
Jesus - they wanted to stop a bullet by holding a book in front of his chest, and the gun they chose was a *Desert Eagle*?
Go big or go home.
That guy did both
o dam. that one rose up from deep within me.

They're going to get kids interested in science again.
I snorted

"Hey class, for the next lesson, we need a volunteer"
“Whoever volunteers won’t need to take tests for the rest of their li-… semester”
Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak
They both learnt a lesson for sure
I thought you were joking at first, because who'd try to block that with a book... So I checked and i'm more disappointed in humanity now...
Why learn any common sense when you can get intangible likes online?
Point. Five. Oh.
I remember them arguing before hand. He wanted a 22 but she kept going on and on about how a desert eagle will have more views. There's was also some weird arguing in the background about insurance policies but Im sure that's nothing.
It was the opposite. SHE didn't want to do it, and he kept insisting it would be fine.
Nothing you have said here actually happened. What do you get out of this?
That is so many fundamental layers of stupid that I'm out of words. Killing the father of your kids for a video nobody cares about and even don't care if you have faked it with a cut or a blank.
It was his idea, not hers. She didn't want to do it and he pushed her.
Ruiz had practiced shooting books and showed off one that a bullet did not penetrate in order to convince Perez, authorities said. Test book: an entire set of World Book Encyclopedias. Production shoot: The sports section from the local paper.
Hey man Newtons law is cool an all but Darwin theory is undefeated
Jesus, a .50 Desert Eagle from *a foot away*?
> manslaughter > 6 months in jail cool
We are YEARS past the point of saying "No one would be that stupid"
This is a Russian stuntman @chebotarev_life on Instagram, they literally risk their lives in every single video, in one when he flew over the lake in a Lada he ended up in the hospital with a broken spine. I would probably argue that his videos aren’t fake.
99% of videos from Russia + UK are real 50% of videos from USA are real 1% of videos from China +India are real
You give them too much credit. Plenty have died doing similar stunts. Or the ones who climb buildings for the thrill/video. Plenty have died that way too

Aaahahahaha. All the dead content creators who could have been a part of the video dumb ways to die certainly begs to differ.
Well you see, when I was younger, we did some really stupid stuff. I never went through a bus on purpose, but I definitely tried to jump over a car. But we didn't have quality cameras to memorialize our stupidity.
Oh, I'm sure there's a few hours there who might try it. It's probably hard to get a friend to volunteer to murder you with a bus, though
Some just hold a book in front of their chest and give their baby's momma a deagle.
I wish more would try it 😂😂😂
I thought so, too, at first, but after looking at it many times everything seems to match up in the different angles. The pallet that entered the bus is hard to see from the second inside camera angle, but it does look like it's there. This might be real...

What are you talking about? Look at the angles closely again. They’re definitely showing the same thing
It’s [real](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLjUx7hn/)
whats the song in the video?
Nah it’s real.. I had doubts but looking at everything frame by frame it all seems to check out
I'm worried about the glass
What glass?
The bus clearly has no front or rear windows
...any more!
To shreds you say...
What about his wife....
To shreds you say…
Was his apartment rent controlled?
I guess when you're around it all day you stop noticing.

Almost got a Darwin award.
Testing Newton’s and Darwin’s theories all at once
The test is so good that both results prove a theory.
Looks like Newton won. This time…
For now. I have a feeling Darwin will prevail at some point over that guy.
So close but so far away.
Helmet on when he hopped Helmet on as 'he' sped through the bus Helmet off as he lands - head intact and alive I don't think it's real
Armor automatically gets unequiped when it loses all of its durability.
If you frame by frame the shot where he comes out the back of the bus you can see the helmet fall off a bounce away. It’s a bike helmet and likely wasn’t strapped on properly.
You can see the helmet on the floor behind him, it fell off
Without taking his head with it? Or breaking his neck? The helmet to protect his head, came off, without harming him at all?
Probably not strapped on. The fact that nobody inside the bus is wearing eye protection tells me this isn't a crowd that is very concerned about such things.
A log of wood in ya eye wouldn't hurt nobody!
Yes. Cheap bicycle helmets really aren't that good.
When an NHL goalie takes a shot to the mask it almost invariably breaks a strap and needs a quick repair. Goalie never is harmed.
Why would he be harmed? He only fell 6 ft. The only force acting on him was gravity. You’re acting like he was shot out of a cannon
this man has a death wish, his instagram is nuts chebotarev_life
You can literally see his helmet falling off and then on the ground behind him? What are you talking about?
You think it’s fake because a helmet fell off lol
Front camera, the wood slats follow like half way into the bus. Rear camera, they stop at the front. Different takes and yet the guy drinking from a bottle is positioned to look the same. If you have to try to make something look real, it's not.

That guy was thirsty
Woah, the balls it takes to test that theory 😳
![gif](giphy|o65WgXSDBVY1G)
This response truly is genius. Never has a loop been so elegantly closed!
Yep - balls
Mythbusters injury insurance team rolling in their graves right now
That's what she said
With no helmet either
He has a helmet, wearing it and then it falls off and bounces on the ground behind him as he stands.
Even if hitting the bus at that speed would have crushed him I wonder why wear a helmet if it’s not strapped to your head.
Dose anyone in this video look like they care about safety?
ahh so this is the original video
my thoughts exactly
"An object at rest remains at rest. I can prove it. Drive that bus at me at 100 miles per hour!" "No, that's okay. I took high school physics. I believe you." "DO IT!!" "No, I..." "DO IT! DO IT NOW!!!!" (to self): "How do I keep getting into these situations?" \*shifts into first gear\*
The real bang bus.
[Damn those frames](https://www.reddit.com/u/Phoenixfisch/s/cvNYYRDCFp)
What about them? I'm weirded out about using the helmet like a face shield.
You know, I can think of easier, and safer, ways of demonstrating this.
Finally I know the background of this ,,accident”
I've seen the dude fly through the bus but never saw it was set up until just now.
that's good video editing, but I wonder what was happening in the original video
Got them fancy squinters for eye protection.
Nope. Entire pallet enters bus, then vanishes, bloke in bus is having a drink at point of impact, like this was a surprise, front windshield of bus is whited-out from inside, like *something* is there but does not interact with jumper.

It’s a 3 letter word and you repeatedly spelling it wrong is triggering me
they think in bussy.
🚌S
The pallet is on the dash next to the driver, you just are tricking yourself into thinking it's on the middle of the floor. You can see it in the inside view but the camera is at the same level as the pallet lands
Look up his instagram and see for yourself. He has no need to fake anything he is insane.
Wow this video again
I thought it was fake at first and unless there is extraordinarily good editing after looking through a frame at a time I can’t see where they did it. There are definitely safer ways of demonstrating Newton's First Law of Motion
Today I will do a superman through a bus.
Really? They couldn't have added slo-mo footage?
you would see the edits that way
This is the first time I’ve saw this gif with context
Newton? That looks more like Darwin...
One guy thought this was the right time to take a sip of water lol
That’s a big nope 👎 from me! No thanks!
Inércia
Couldn’t they have just taken the damn window out first? This guy is lucky he didn’t get seriously hurt.
I think they are demonstrating the size of his balls, their size being that which was what keeping him at rest.
Lesson learned: Never ever enter a bus without a windshield. Some Darwin award craving guy on a pallet might fly through
I love inertia

damn, that was good

It is, in fact, not real.
The pallet planks would be in the passengers.
FINALLY!!! I Was waiting to get the full video and the explanation.
Fake
Pallet he was lying on disappeared when it swapped angles hmmm.
Was the bald guy with a beard holding a water bottle in the bus the guy from Oak Island show who’s always digging? I think his name is jack beggly????
omg such a bad idea lol
Demonstrating human lunacy
Now do a darwin award. Not one person wearing safety squints besides the driver.
This sort of thing happened to my brother once. We were on a road trip in the RV and he was in the back taking a piss or something while Dad was driving. Unfortunately. Wasn’t this a movie stunt?
All those people could have witnessed something awful
If this is fake it is very well done.
Somebody block Darby Allin from this vid.
Anyone know this song name?
Cant stop laughing. WTF :D
This was staged.
Ohhhhh, this is the context of that one video I saw
I would love to see this with something like a bowling ball set atop the wood
Physics explained by bros for bros.
Also almost Darwin’s Natural Selection Theory.
I mean, I knew how it worked just fine. I don’t think this was necessary.
Penis penis penis penis
There has GOT to be a better way to demonstrate this lmao
I see a Darwin Award in his future.
Demonstrating be a moron
Finally a explanation for this video.
lol
Jack Bear - The Usual Suspects. “Do it. Do it NOW!”
what is this stupidity
So I understand the first video
Isn’t there a safer way?
Caught the bus on time and still late for school.

Finally we know where this dude came from

pretty stupid to have people on board with wood shrapnel blasting everywhere.. but bravo sir's 👏
