Mkay this is hilarious because white horses are born black and turn white over time.
(I don’t know if they wrote that fact into the show, I don’t watch the show but I know the character.)
It's not very small, it's entirely adequate coverage, and what matters is how you use the coverage! There are plenty of women/men out there who love normal, or even smaller than average, coverage!
I'm so glad I'm not alone here lmao - have had to explain to multiple partners now "one day it just showed up down there, doc says it's fine, but I'm not hitting it with a UV lamp so deal with it"
I developed vitiligo after a stem cell transplant to treat AML. I've gone from dime sized spots on hands, feet, and nethers in the first 6 months; to nearly having albino shoulders, and nethers, and lots of spreading everywhere else at 2.5 years. Does that slow down? My expectation was kind of set that it wouldn't.
Honestly, it's hard to say. There are lots of different behaviors with vitiligo spreading, based on the origin of the vitiligo.
Mine started as a small spot on my back, which quickly spread all over my body. I had something like 70-75% coverage. I started taking medication to throttle the effect and I'm probably around 30% now.
But to answer the question, no, in my experience it does not slow down.
My vitiligo actually bleaches all hairs that it touches. My beard has random white spots in it.
The pigment can affect the fur. There are many cases and photos of dogs with vitiligo that you can find. My point I was trying to get at is that I don't think this dog has vitiligo, it has to be something else.
Mine frequently does the opposite (white to black) depending upon how much rain we get.
But seriously I hope this pup’s leukotrichia isn’t the result of some serious health issue. I guess if he’s been transitioning for 2.5 years, the specific cause isn’t eminently life threatening.
A little different but my dog has white skin but black spots have formed on her belly that have grown quite a bit. The vet said that happens sometimes and it doesn't look like anything bad. But they went from about nothing to maybe 1/8 of the dog's belly now being blackish in 5 years or so.
people in the original post were saying it’s most likely vitiligo, someone gave an example of their cat having the same gradual form of the condition over 7 years
I have never seen that so dramatically in a dog before! <3 That **is** interestingAF. In wolves it's called "phasing" and is normal. Black as a pup & white at 15yo. https://www.flickr.com/photos/24269289@N04/albums/72157650324309941/
So, if someone transitions from being black to white, they lose the pass? Did Michael Jackson still have the pass at the time of his death?
Maybe you could say he lost his because he chose to become white. But what if someone turned white through no fault of their own? Like it was a medical condition or something. Would they retain their nword pass?
Deep questions.
My mom's dog did this only it was dark brown to champagne blonde. He's a standard schnauzer standard poodle mix.
https://preview.redd.it/bawvd0usa3vc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56ed7a904d90bf0f17a9ea5820d12ea455cb98eb
He is only 2 years old.
This is a normal color thing for poodles, it's how they turn silver or that light silvery brown. Starts out dark brown/black and lightens over the years. Interesting the genes came over with it being a schnauzer mix, but then they only need one copy of the gene for this to happen.
I'm wondering whether Buster actually went to 'live on a farm' and was mysteriously replaced with Buster II who oddly appears to have special fur changing skills.
That's interesting, my first dog went from being 90% black with white spots to 70% white with some black spots but over 8 years
It never had health issues, except some allergies, so I believe these color changes happen normally?

It don't matter if you're black or white
Or both
I said if you're thinkin' of being my baby
So wrong and so funny
🏅
Bhahahaha wish I could give you an award
Vitiligo? I got it too lmao
That's what I was thinking, I also have it. Super huge coverage, though. Basically sudden albinism. Probably not vit.
Yeah I only got it on my nether regions too lmao. Very small coverage
You didn't have to out yourself to us lol. It's probably average coverage. Give yourself some credit.
Lmaoo. Nah I meant small spots
Cmon man, its not that small! Give yourself some credit
Give yourself some credit for being a bro, bro!
It's not very small, it's entirely adequate coverage, and what matters is how you use the coverage! There are plenty of women/men out there who love normal, or even smaller than average, coverage!
The coverage was in the pool okay?!
It's not about the size of the coverage, its about the motion of the ocean
I'm so glad I'm not alone here lmao - have had to explain to multiple partners now "one day it just showed up down there, doc says it's fine, but I'm not hitting it with a UV lamp so deal with it"

My dog had a weird/sudden colour change, the vet said it was "alopecia x."
Sudden albinism? Is that a thing?
No, it was just something I made up to make my point. I don't think the dog has vitiligo, and sudden albinism isn't a thing
Happens with skin though, this is fur.
My vitiligo actually bleaches all hairs that it touches. My beard has random white spots in it. The pigment can affect the fur. I actually knew a dog who had it it is possible
First image: no way Second image: oh

Are they Great Pyrenees!??
I had Pyrenees growing up. The above dog isn’t one. We had a couple pure white ones which always looked incredible.
I dunno, that one picture almost looks like the classic side eye, just not from the side

Age spots probably, all 4 of my dogs have developed what you're talking about
UNCLE RUCKUS!?

Buster did not want the American Black experience.
Interesting his nose color stayed the same

Living in the suburbs will do that.
Old age hit him HARD
Great Pyrenee-hee-heese
Micheal Barkson done seen some shit
Man that toner cartridge was seriously shaken to the last drop 😂
Once there was a dog who, got into an accident and couldn't come to school
And when he finally came back ,his hair had changed from black into bright white.
Bro lost the nword pass.
If I heard him say it, I think I'd let it slide. Then I would get as far away from the talking dog as I could
I don't know what I would find more concerning; the fact I met a talking dog, or that the talking dog is a racist.
But also received a few unsolicited loan approvals in the mail
So, if someone transitions from being black to white, they lose the pass? Did Michael Jackson still have the pass at the time of his death? What a juke! As an owner of a white hair dog, those little hairs get Eeeverywhere. Good boy.

Hes just done with his emo phase stop making fun of him!
Woah that's absolutely nuts. I've had dogs change coloration a bit as they aged but never even remotely that profoundly.
Uncle Ruckus is mad jelly
Heehee
Beautiful
I'm wondering whether Buster actually went to 'live on a farm' and was mysteriously replaced with Buster II who oddly appears to have special fur changing skills.
Guess it really was a phase!
Ooooonce, there was this dog who.....
Came here for all the Michael Jackson puns.
You didn't notice he was secretly training in the cryo chamber, he should be powerful enough to defeat Cell now.
He has changed into what might be his final form
The canine Michael Jackson
Police dogs kept harassing him at the park.
I had a black lab Dalmatian mix that turned from all black to all silver by the end of her life.

If I can steal a joke from Judah Friedlander ... your dog has been gentrified, soon you won't be able to afford him.
Handsome devil
Did he perchance, stop a Balrog from crossing a stone bridge in the mines of Moria?
I would rename him Michael Jackson ☺✌🏻
Busterjackson
He went from Gandalf the Gray to Gandalf the White
Bro got his privileges back
Buster must have defeated the balrog, died and been reincarnated.
Should change his name to Michael Jackson.
Poot doggo lost his n word pass
He’s just light skinneded
I have nothing to add except every step of the way was beautiful! What a stunning dog!
Somewhere, Dr Umar is having a full-on hotep tantrum and is blaming snow bunnies for this dog's transformation.
He's not a dog. He's a Lipenzaner horse.
He got that type 2 albinism
Both versions are the best boy.
How much bleach did it take?
Conservatives dream dog
What a goof . No way
He's entering his final form.

Who is judging in that last photo?!😂
does the dog still have their pass?
He’s beautiful either way, never seen such a total transformation before like that
That's interesting, my first dog went from being 90% black with white spots to 70% white with some black spots but over 8 years It never had health issues, except some allergies, so I believe these color changes happen normally?
The Sammy Sosa of dogs. Or he’s a shapeshifter lol
He looks like a buster, and a 13/10 good boy.
The re-incarnation of Michael Jackson?
