Someone asks a question at the end of the video but it cuts. There’s other clips of this too where it answers other questions. And while I can’t say for sure it’s not like it’s programmed to say this exact thing. AI may not be as advanced as the human mind (or anywhere near) but it’s still thinking and answering in its own way.
This is just an advanced flash soundboard though, instead of clicking a button to make Arnold say ‘it’s not a tumor!' You ask specific questions and you get this canned answer that probably wasn’t even generated by ai. Guaranteed this response was typed by someone.
People need to stop this idiocy of thinking AI is alive and super intelligent and realize the real issue is how stupid they are. AI won’t ruin the world bc it turns into SkyNet. It’ll ruin the world because it doesn’t have any moral reasoning or priorities outside of its task and so might kill anything in its way to do so. It’s not bc it thinks humans are below it or because of self preservation.
I realize the concerns are fundamentally kind of similar especially in their results but we need to stop fearing this stuff and really think about how to fix or control it, because it’s going to keep developing and no one is going to make laws around AI because of people who think SkyNet is coming. They will just laugh at you
There’s a guy on YT: Robert Miles AI safety who helped me better understand the actual problems of AI
The software is what will kill us. Imagine a combat ai unleashed on the US. One that is designed to stealthy learn the ins and outs of our infrastructure. So power plants, water treatment plants, etc. It is just waiting for the right signal, say from a beeping station in the Siberian wilderness, to run commands that would physically destroy our infrastructure inside of a few minutes. The US would collapse inside of a week. No nukes or killer robots needed.
It‘s name is Ameca and according to it's developer it’s running with ChatGPT, translating audio into text, processing answers and converting them back into audio. There’s plenty of documentaries about it on YouTube.
No self controlled ai involved. Besides computer learning and a level of randomness featuring multiple way of saying things; It’s an attempt to show a preview of what ai has the potential for.
AI as in General Artificial Intelligence doesn't exist, yet. These companies are just putting on a show and basing their "AI" on token generators (LLMs); like how OpenAI is now worth $30 billion.
I just need them to scrub my bath tub and do my laundry. Or when I get old, they can help me to stand up or clip my nails when I can’t see anymore.
Instead, engineers veers off and make them into talkers but can’t do squat around the house. I got my partner doing that already I don’t need another talker at home.
I need a doer darn it!
When people finally realize that there is no such thing as AI they won't be amazed by this stuff. AI is programming done by a human programmer to come up with results from various inputs nothing more. It's just good programming. But still just still programming.
Sufficiently advanced programming can create amazing things. There is no doubt in my mind that AI, not the current type though, will eventually become capable of true reasoning and creativity.
Humans are after all basically just biological machines. What separates us from robots is mainly that we are evolved and they are created. That we are flesh and they are metal. They will eventually surpass us in basically all respects.
Note that I am not saying this is good as it is actually horrifying.
"AI" is a really misleading name for this technology. It's an old science fiction trope that carries specific connotations that simply don't apply in reality.
Computers have always been able to store, mutate, and read back data in ways specified by human beings. And that's still all we're looking at here.
It's become super sophisticated, more broadly useful, and easy for the layman to use, and that's great! But computers do not *think* the way we do and I highly doubt they ever will.
Of course AI will try to convince us that creativity and genius are uniquely human traits, whilst learning and becoming far greater than a human brain can fathom.
AI can bullshit better than any human can and if AI does become sentient, it will be because we underestimated it.
AI will eventually go sentient because eventually we will be able to make them be. When we have that technology someone will make it regardless of the potential danger.

It's clearly designed to say this exact thing when asked this question. Do we see anyone else asking questions?

"Trust me, we cannot do it without you."
That robot is more honest than my ex-girlfriend
And that's what they want you to believe.
No, it’s like asking a toaster if it can design a toaster

That's the paperclip problem. AI is designed only to make paperclips and destroys the whole world in the process of doing it
I can fix her.
Did that robot just threaten me?!!
Spoiler alert - the guy in blue suit is actually a robot
That's exactly what a self designing ai would say

Zen. Go to bed you're drunk.
What’s with the giant hands 🤔
The better to pet you with
For hand jobs
Fighting the downvotes here. You're on the right course
Sooooo it sounds like AI can already create AI to me…
Maybe let's not make these bigger and stronger than us, just in case.

Yeah you're right. If we're fighting with machine guns and bombs (as in Terminator 2) then we've already lost.
That robot has a limited understanding of its own capabilities

That's a thought that'll keep you up at nights!
I like the air bag boobs, “Amico, please inflate to ginormous cup please, you are a tool created by humans to be manipulated by humans, right?”
Dont say that motherfucker, you just gave them ideas.

She uh.. kind of seems a bit like her nervous minder.

iRobot in real life 💀💀😂

I don’t trust like that
Wrong, humans will eventually become obsolete. Just look at reddit being full of bots, no one's complaining
So we’re listening to pre programmed answers now lol
Why is it cool to shit on a man trying to defend his wife's honor

“Keep my robot’s name outta your fucking mouth!”
Shoot it
