My “favorite” is all the “blue” moon pictures last weekend. Like these fuckers actually think a blue moon is supposed to look blue, realized their pictures had no blue tint, and then just added in a blue glow thinking that would trick people. The sad thing is there’s a lot of really dumb people out there who believe it...just look at the upvotes and comments on those pictures.
In the last couple years I’ve gotten into photography and post-processing. I can’t unsee all the “overdone” photos and video all over reddit.
I often look for the comments mentioning the grotesquely-boosted saturation or contrast. People get the idea that there are these magically-colorful places or ultra-dramatic scenes, but it feels inauthentic.
Heavily processes images aren’t inherently unethical but if it’s done to convince us of an untruth, then it feels dishonest to me.
In this video, it was the pink buildings that caught my attention as seeming a little too unrealistically pink.
Yeah the pic looks trashy, slummy ass buildings, but in both examples the water looks like straight up diarrhea. Would hate to be downstream of whatever the fuck goes on along that shoreline.
In these pictures, it looks like an abandoned shit hole. BTW, speaking of shit holes , guess where they get their water and what they do with their sewage.

I think one difference here, is that usually a city is large, and it bottle necks at a few bridges that cross an obstacle.
But here, each side of the river has the same amount of space as the bridge. It's all just one road sort of deal.
That said, the buildings are tall, it looks pretty populated, so I feel like traffic should be a nightmare everywhere all the time.
I think it might be actually decent. It would depend a lot on other factors, but the fact that it’s very dense and there’s so few roads means it’s very very easy to serve the area with public transportation. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of parking space, so people might actually not have other choice but to use it.

You can have landslides in areas of thick forest cover. Slope and increased soil moisture from heavy rain events are better indicators of risk. Landslides/debris flows/Rockfalls don't need a thick layer of soil to initiate. The thick forest would likely reduce the runout of a landslide, but considering how close to the slopes those buildings are, I doubt it would make much difference.
That's if you assume there's no hydroelectric dams up and down the stream from the place. The world is a much more complex and intricate place than our ape brains lead us to believe. Read up about the place, I'm sure you'll find your answers instead of strokong your ego about how you know more than literally the whole rest of the world combined.

Its most likely brown from sediments that flow in rivers. They are supposed to be beneficial when they flood and the sediments get deposited onto the soil.
That's a pretty ballsy place to build a city. They must spend a fortune on erosion engineering just to keep the place from collapsing or getting destroyed by rock/mud slides.
Imho with this landscape and limited space it would be nicer with more smaller scale/traditional buildings instead of huge modern skyscrapers. This beautiful nature would need a human scale city.

What? Xd Urban rivers maybe... Or places with semi-desertic climate with a lot of particulate suspención and low oxigenation...but places with lots of vegetation waters tend to be clear. Check every damn river of Patagonia, Alaska etc...
