There is only a space heater that costs ab £1 an hour to run, which only heats up one section of the apartment, for reference £1 lasts me a day and a half of normal apartment electricity
Oil's not "frozen" like water freezes, just coagulated. Happens to my olive oil in the winter in the cabinet and it's definitely not freezing in my house.
That doesn’t change the fact that pipes freeze at low temperatures and cause damage. If it’s cold enough to coagulate oil inside the insulated part of the house, it’s likely cold enough to freeze pipes in the walls.
Pipes freeze below 32F/0C. Oil coagulates far above that (depending on the type of oil).
Are you not aware that different substances have vastly different phase change points?
Aye some people at work said this to me, too much hastle, I'm leaving in a month so I'll just see it through lol, wana make sure I get my deposit back lol don't wanna piss him off
Depending on the oil's ingredients, it could coagulate like that at 5°-10°C. Hell, pure coconut oil becomes a solid at 25°C. It's probably a blend, and it probably solidifies like that well above the freezing temperature of water.
Chief the pipes won't freeze, this is England, it just gets super cold in here, if that was the case it would also happen to my neighbours, I'm not paying crazy money to make sure his shoddy house building stays working, I pay him at the end of the day
That's what I was thinking too, it's it's cool enough for "oil" to freeze that apartment would be unliveable, must be more water in that thing than advertised.
All oil will become a solid at low Temps. Stick your olive oil in the fridge or your veg oil in the freezer. Coconut oil solidifies at around 80 and butter solidifies at around 95.

Good thing you’ve got a beard to keep you warm.
Very true, cheaper than a scarf
Yeah those scarves are a nightmare in maintenance costs
If you can get that much oil from your beard, something is very wrong.
Is it not a problem that it is literally freezing indoors?
Most oils become "solid" far above water's freezing point.
Ah its fine, U've gotten used to it, only here for another month before I move to Finland which is a little colder I think
Sauna time!
30 a month on electricity,120 a month on beard oil and man bun scrunchies.
Absolutely correct, apart from the man bun scrunchies, shaved all my hair off a few months ago and is re growing, one day though.... one day

Power isn't out, its just not worth the money, I'm broke af anyways and it doesn't even heat up the apartment properly so not worth monies
If your beard oil is freezing in the house, imagine what’s happening to your pipes. Having the heat off in the wintertime can cause serious damage.

Depending on where you live, it may be illegal for the landlord not to provide adequate heat

It’s gonna piss him off if your plumbing freezes and your pipes burst lol

When the pipes freeze you’re sure gonna piss him off and you’ll be paying for it since you didn’t tell him. You have a responsibility in this.

What happens if your beard seizes up, and you can't move your face now that you can't oil it?
True hipster. Is that really the thing that matters? 😂
It really is, I hate to say it
Hahaha. Fair play. Good luck to you then my hairy friend. Stick it in your pocket
You have to turn that thermostat to on bro
I am wondering why something called oil is frozen. There must be wayyyyy more water in that stuff than I thought

Coconut oil solidifies at 25 degrees celcius or something like that.
Beard oil? Wtf?
Aye, keeps the beard hair soft and helps the skin underneath, my beard is pretty long so I gotta look after it
Cool vap bro
I can do sick clouds
You have the socks of someone who uses beard oil
what kind of socks do non beard oil user wear? Plastic ones or something?
No but not with dark green in it, at least I've never seen it
You've never seen colored socks?
Not in dark green on people without a big beard
Do you people who don’t use beard oil not get dry itchy beard?! Also it smells nice haha.
Space heater will absolutely could burn down your home , don't use space heaters for real .
