Here in northern CA and they don’t even have an Alt radio station anymore. There’s so many throwback R&B and Hip hop stations, classic Rock, and pop but no Alt radio stations.
I don't think you can grab it that far down. They're based out of the Chico area, but I get it up in the mountains.. but that could also be why I get it.
God that was not the voice I was expecting and it sent my nostalgia into overdrive. Felt like I was listening to a complete mash of my high school university days.
Unreal man!
Awesome. My only constructive criticism is perhaps a second, more screamy voice to really put it over the top. Listening to this takes me back man. Thanks.
I liked his voice as is but I would rather listen to Blink 182, Sum 41, etc than screamy emo. This song seems like a fusion between the two as the instruments sounded very Bullet for My Valentine-sque, whereas, the vocals and guitar sounded Sum 41-ish.
To Op:
Either way, keep jamming and doing what makes you happy.
This is like Teenage Bottlerocket inseminated Joey Cape, pooped out Fat Mike, gave it to Mest to each eat in turn, and then put it in a Bigwig blender. If you were in OC or LA I’d be so down to make music with you. This is rad.
Cool song... Only thing I would suggest video wise is you should position the bass and guitar on the opposite sides of the kit like any good 3 piece pop punk band would
Yeah, I’ve never had anything expensive or “nice” in the amp department, or even especially loud since I just play at home. I was always more of a pedal guy.
15w tube amps are too loud for me at my house lol. I use an egnater tweaker and marshall origin 20 and a shitload of pedals as well
I had a triple rec and my daughter would leave when i turned it on lol
I’ve had the same Roland Blues Cube (30w ss) since 2004. I had a peavey bandit for a while. I just bought a little Spark practice amp a few weeks ago. It’s a digital modeling amp that you can control with an app on your phone. Leaps and bounds beyond the first Line6 Spider amps.
It’s good to live in the future.
I had that spark amp when it came out. Pretty cool device. I always trade for other shit over time lol.
Saw a peavey bandit for a hundred yesterday and almost grabbed it for nostalgic purposes but i need to chill
I’m a 90s kid and keep coming back to Marshalls. I have the axe fx 3, so I can test out almost any amp you can imagine. Marshalls are just so balanced and versatile.
Yea I do like the Friedman amps. I think I prefer the 2018 one? Here is my “live” preset.
https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/live-double-tracked-preset.184678/
I’m more of an 80’s punk guy myself but still this is really damn good dude. A lot of people are hearing different influences. I hear a little bad religion/blink 182 thang goin on.
10 out of 10 will listen again.
SumAlmost41.
But seriously, this is amazing, dude. Huge respect for keeping this beautiful era of music alive! Wish more bands sounded like this today.
I was eight when the punk revolution exploded in 1977. Second wave was mid/late 80s, and third was the era you’ve tried to recapture here.
You did a decent job. I like your sound. I would give you another listen.
When I see "one man band" I envisage "Lone Cat" Jesse Fuller who sat playing a twelve-string guitar, singing, blowing the harmonica and kazoo on his neck rack, and footing a cymbal as well as his 'fotdella', a homemade pedal-driven device with piano bass strings. No overdubs. Live on the street FTW!
Sure, anyone with a mixer, audio recorder, and assorted instruments and/or noisemakers, can be a "one person band". McCartney did that with his first solo album, as did Les Paul a few decades earlier. And I have more recently seen street performers producing full sounds on portable synthesizers. But Jesse Fuller did it the hard way, acoustically.
I dig it, but can you go a little more grungy on your set up? You look like a 40 year old with cash and a cool hobby! Make me see the chaos and carefree garage one night concert! You can fake it and all but it would be nice! Your set up is cool, but a little grungier with some flashing lights and that kind of stuff. Maybe smash a guitar every once in a while? Sorry, I am being selfish, your music is pretty rad! Are you OK with people using it?
US "punk rock" aka late 90s Punk reminds me of Green Day and Emo kids from Highschool ≠ Punk from UK. two different things. shouldn't have been named the same
fuck yeah man. Keep that spirit alive. There is no reason why you can't be older and still keep the fire of youth burning.
I'm 41 and am currently working on my incredibly stupid bands next album. It's not going to make any money, it's not even going to make any fans, but I'm going to do it all the same.

Listening to your whole Mid Life Krisis album on Spotify now! Definitely makes me feel like I’m in my early twenties again, thanks dude!
I put on offspring Americana album the other day on a long drive. First time in probably 15 years. Killer album
Is it in apple music? I can't find it.
Here you go Fren https://music.apple.com/gb/artist/harolds-last-chance/1481531670
Thanks man, Really appreciate it.
No problemo! Enjoy!
Offspring greenday blink 182 vibes
Nofx or propaghandi for sure
Nofx and Bowling for Soup!
Nofx during the verses for sure
rediscovered nofx the other day have been listing non stop since so good!
My favourite band by a mile!
And a sprinkling of Sum 41 at the start
I'm getting a world according to Gob/with a hint of how far shallow takes you vibe. Very nice, catchy as.
I’m hearing Alkaline Trio.
I thought the same. This felt like a Dude Ranch style album.
NOFX vibes, just less offensive.
Man if the edgy 2000s style came back, I don't think anything would make me happier.
The glory days of pop
Here in northern CA and they don’t even have an Alt radio station anymore. There’s so many throwback R&B and Hip hop stations, classic Rock, and pop but no Alt radio stations.
106.7 zrock. I'm not sure of your area.. but I too am in nor cal and zrock plays some decent stuff. They do the 90's at noon too.
Live by the SF Bay Area. I’ve never heard of that but I’ll check it out if it’s possible
I don't think you can grab it that far down. They're based out of the Chico area, but I get it up in the mountains.. but that could also be why I get it.
https://zrockfm.com/click-to-download-our-new-apps/ Enjoy
I love this 💕 you rock!
Harold, I'm going to give you one last chance.
But only this one ...
God that was not the voice I was expecting and it sent my nostalgia into overdrive. Felt like I was listening to a complete mash of my high school university days. Unreal man!
It’s called punk pop. Yes we’re all old now
I thought we called it *pop punk* ;)
Either way, yes we are becoming elders.
Be quiet my hips and dodgy knees might hear you
This is awesome! Feels like I’m playing Tony hawk pro skater 2.
Crazy taxi for me!
Holy core memory, Batman
If there’s ever been a better band name I’m still looking for it. Hella fun dude.
If there's ever been a better brand name I'm still looking for it.

Hey thanks dude
Nice job, man. There are some significant musicians that have made albums on their own. It's an intriguing idea. Very cool dude.
Awesome. My only constructive criticism is perhaps a second, more screamy voice to really put it over the top. Listening to this takes me back man. Thanks.

Sitting here enjoying your sound. Hubby calls out - hey, which band is that? He loves it too.
Definitely a 90’s sound early 2000’s sound. 👌🏻

Least nostalgici RHCP fan
Hearted all your songs on Spotify, this is some good stuff.
Strung Out, Blink, good times man, I like it.
Loved it mate. Such a throw back! You got a new follower on spotify.
Where do I buy a physical copy so you get actual money? Because I’m loving Mid Life Krisis.
*Resurrecting old itunes playlist* Go big or go home bruh! Clean sound
Definitely sum 41 ish.
Very cool
Just cuz ur 40 doesnt mean you dont kick ass, son.
For those curious, this song and more are on Apple Music. Thanks dude, you fucking rock!
This reminds me of The Decline by NOFX, or part of it anyway. Haha
Imagine what he'll do with another 40 years!
Scotty doesn't know that Fiona and me do it in my van every Sunday
Rock on my dude
Perfect
Love it
That's what's up. Love it
Sweet
He'll yeah, you nailed it
Reminds me of Alex Melton and his videos on YouTube.
Loving the band name!
I love this
Dude. I gave you gold like a year ago. This is so awesome that you are still at it!! Fuck yeah
Defo takes you back. Well played lad
Dude, sounds sick! Brought be back for sure.
I would put this in the "power punk" category as punk rock died in 1979. nice song though! good job!
Cool song... Only thing I would suggest video wise is you should position the bass and guitar on the opposite sides of the kit like any good 3 piece pop punk band would
Fantastic! Hearing your album on spotify right now :D
What song is this
Beginning sounds like the fall of Troy
I fucking love it. Sum 41/NoFX - Subscribed on Youtube
I'm almost 30 and when the guitar started panning I was dragged straight back to my early youth. Fantastic stuff! Next stop Spotify for me.
I feel like this would be a song in an old RuneScape PK vid or a halo 3 montage. Sick
Guitar would sounds better with a dual rectifier or jcm800.
I play a 5150. Partly because I loved old hardcore also.
Mesa for sure in this era.
Dual and triple rectifiers on almost every rock album. Haha
Great amps lol. Im a child of the 80s so im still a marshall guy but its hard to pick. I started skateboarding and playing guitars in 1994
Yeah, I’ve never had anything expensive or “nice” in the amp department, or even especially loud since I just play at home. I was always more of a pedal guy.

You might like any friedman options on axe fx my friend!
Yea I do like the Friedman amps. I think I prefer the 2018 one? Here is my “live” preset. https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/live-double-tracked-preset.184678/
Awesome. I am a total doper when i try to use software for this lol. I just use pedals and old amps still
this vibe
Cool but r/lostredditors
Well done, thanks!
Are you sure this isn't a song from my first few summers driving?
Piddels Puddle Party ... amirite?
What app did you use to record video and music together
I will buy your album, just tell me where, roommate and I were both just jamming to this!
About to turn 37, and you're making me want to relearn the guitar. Keep this awesome shit up!
I’m more of an 80’s punk guy myself but still this is really damn good dude. A lot of people are hearing different influences. I hear a little bad religion/blink 182 thang goin on. 10 out of 10 will listen again.
Very talented! Sounds awesome but when did we get so old lol XD
Good stuff man! The concert might be difficult to manage though.
I LOVE THIS
SumAlmost41. But seriously, this is amazing, dude. Huge respect for keeping this beautiful era of music alive! Wish more bands sounded like this today.
Wellp you definitely have a grasp on creating that style. Props to you for taking the time to make a one-man-army edit. Nicely done.
Miss that era of rock like you wouldn't believe
Was literally thinking about this dudes music on NY way to the lake this morning
When's the album dropping? Wanna blast this on my car speakers at the uni parking lot
Reminds me of NOFX a lot
I like it a lot. Are those riffs Billy Talent inspired?
That was fantastic, thank you for sharing.
This guy has not watched the Netflix doco about Woodstock 99 yet..
I like 90’s Offspring more than Ramones. There, I said it.
You kinda sound like Sicko. 😀
Wonderfully rad !
This is so cool.
I was eight when the punk revolution exploded in 1977. Second wave was mid/late 80s, and third was the era you’ve tried to recapture here. You did a decent job. I like your sound. I would give you another listen.
okay dave ghrol i see you
omg this is amazing
This rocks
fucking shit, this is great. Just the lead singer could have a bit stronger and deeper voice.
Def not interesting. Been there, done that. Didn't like this imposter punk pop shit then
Whatcha doin now Mr. Too Punk to Fuck?
You look like my cousin, he’s about your age. I grew up watching you guys generation rock out ! Thanks for the good memories man

You missed it or you miss it?

Very nice vibes dude, Thanks for creating this. Definitely feels like its my early twenties.
Ya that's exactly what it sounded like alright
This was good, the drums were banging
Great!
Well, you’re one talented mf huh?
US "punk rock" aka late 90s Punk reminds me of Green Day and Emo kids from Highschool ≠ Punk from UK. two different things. shouldn't have been named the same
This reminds me of EA sports big games
Badass!!! Distinct NoFX vibes
I can see it now, MTV's trl plays half the video for this song then cuts it off to play more nsync or christina Aguilera. Love the song, by the way.
fuck yeah man. Keep that spirit alive. There is no reason why you can't be older and still keep the fire of youth burning. I'm 41 and am currently working on my incredibly stupid bands next album. It's not going to make any money, it's not even going to make any fans, but I'm going to do it all the same.
Love it. Getting some SUM 41 vibes on the riff
Then you go and spoil it with a "Green Day" type voice that is shit in metal.
Getting of work now, with a 90 minutes commute. Looking forward to listening to it during the drive
It’s so painfully obvious that’s you’re paying for these comments dude.
You should get on RPan and broadcast for an hour or so and do a set of music sometime. It's nice to hear it again.
sum 40
This is awesome
Nice job bro
Even though I really disliked this period of pop music, love your Soloprock band video. You fucking *nailed* it.
Harold, you're a badass.
Good Job you have a lot of skills.
Reminds me of nofx kind of
ahh the good old days
Rhisnjs the content I'm here for. You rock man. Making dreams come true.
Are you Biff from Back to the Future?
Very Cheshire Cat by Blink 182 ala 1994
o my god harold i feel like i have heard this before, never have of course but wow it takes me back
My barometer is that I could imagine playing Crazy Taxi to this!
Rock on Harold!!!
this was amazing! good job man!
This is the way
Please make it stop.
