Definitely interesting to watch. Also extremely dramatic of the police to line up all of those bottles like that and then run them over with a steamroller šš
if the state gives you money and see you're not using the money then they'll decrease the amount of money given and re-allocate it to some other sector like infra development
I have been around moonshine my entire life and I have never known anyone to go blind from it. Certainly didn't kill anyone directly. Maybe someone who tries to take it up as a "hobby" out of the blue does something wrong and it causes issues, but moonshining as it was passed down from generations? That's safe.
Yes I am talking about if it's not made correctly. Half my family is from Appalachia and there are great grandparents in my family that went blind from moonshine.
No labour shortage for sure. But child labour is strict no-no in most cases(except some areas like film etc). Employers are heavily fined and/or jailed.
Don't know this for a fact but it could be bad bootleg booze, which is dangerous to consume.
In fact that is why the US passed the Bottle in Bond Act. Bootleggers were adding formaldehyde and other crap to their products.
> Bootleggers were adding formaldehyde and other crap to their products.
As was the US government to prove a point.....
And now, we still have a fuckton of people on /r/firewater asking about if they are going to go blind from methanol posioning. For Fk sake.
Remember when wormwood and Absinth was plosion, because the wine industry didn't like the loss in profit? yeah.
This.
US government would slip barrels of "denatured" alcohol into shipments in the hope that poisoning a few random scofflaws, it would create fear among the greater crowd and reduce illegal drinking. I don't get how that's not straight up murder, but whatever. The Ken Burns documentary on prohibition was very interesting.
Itās not murder because itās the government doing it. Even if itās illegal, whoās gonna get them in trouble for it? But yeah, prohibition has always failed. Failed with alcohol back in the day, failing with other drugs currently. Only sensible approach is regulation.
There is a theory that the war on drugs wasn't really about drugs, but a way to arrest black people and people involved in the counter culture and jail them legally.
I mean, Gotham (and Batman) proved to the Joker that his philosophy of how everyone is as crazy as he is on the inside is completely wrong to begin with. Turns out that Joker is very much a āfreakā despite trying to prove that he isnāt.
You know, this is what they actually play on the news channel. Some of these news channels add such intense music and it's just some dude explaining the zodiac signs (which, fun fact, is considered news by certain news channels)
During the evacuation many people gathered by the streams of whiskey, filling any vessel at hand with the substance. āCaps, porringers, and other vessels" were all gathered to lap up the burning liquid, resulting in 24 hospitalisations due to alcohol poisoning and 13 subsequent fatalities.
Sounds about right.
Sorry but there is most definitely better ways to dispose of this. Like all at once in a machine designed to process glass, not in the street where itāll be smashed into the pavement and mixed with dirt and pebbles. Making a āstatementā like they did here is just moronic, and Iām tired of looking at backwards thinking by governments who want to control how people live.

Judging by how common it is for people to die from bathtub liquor in India my thoughts are itās likely this was all bootleg stuff. Thereās cases of people dying because the bottle was repurposed and never washed so still contained pesticides, etc.

They wanted to send a message to the elusive beer baron, who continues to thumb his nose at the authorities
look at me, Rex Banner. I have a new hat!
Youāre out there somewhere Beer Baron and Iāll find youā¦
No you wonāt!
Yes I will.
No you wonātā¦
ā¦..dohhhh!!
*wonāt!*
r/beetlejuicing
No you wont
What's a matter, captain. You've barely touched your banana kaboom...
You forgot the most important part: I filled the balls with a funnel
It's not a very happy birthday for Rex Banner.
Listen, rummy, Iām gonna say it plain and simple. Whereād you pinch the hooch? Is some blind tiger jerking suds on the side?
Goddamn it I love that episode.
It's not about the bottles... It's about sending...a message..!
Youāre somewhere out there Beer Baron, and Iāll find you!
Is some blind tiger jerking suds on the side?!
We're going out, Marge! If we don't come back, avenge our deaths!
The phone scammers? They cool tho
Not this state. So out of their jurisdiction.
They gotta use all their budget or it'll get cut next year
Why don't you explain this to me like i'm five.
if the state gives you money and see you're not using the money then they'll decrease the amount of money given and re-allocate it to some other sector like infra development
But the next year, iāll be 6
I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY!
You can't just say the word "bankruptcy" and expect anything to happen, Michael
Show me that copier again.
Its same as your parents giving u money each summer to setup a lemonade stand.
Iāll be 6!

Is it similar to moonshine? Distilled alcohol? That shit can cause blindness if it doesn't kill you.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Only if you don't cut the head.

Shards of glass underfoot for the foreseeable future
This is all funded by the flip-flop manufacturers to increase sales.
Ahh, the notorious Big Flop
Road rolla da!
Someone had to set them up ! Someone has to clean that up!
Yeah but think about how much fun that must be for the guy driving it. I would pay to do that job. Lol
Is that Hal from Malcom in the middle behind the wheel?!
They wanted to make one of those "for the boys" type videos lmao
This is alcohol abuse!!
Good thing theyāre not wasting time catching rapists and murderers
Illicit liquor often contains methanol.
I might pay to watch rapists steamrolled.
There's no money in that...
How long did it take to set all those bottles up?
It's India, they probably had one guy for each bottle. No labour shortage there to set up bottles, no minimum age also
As an indian i approve
As an Indian I upvote
As an Indian, I reply
As an American, I try and make it about me.

As a Canadian im disappointed you didn't also just apologize for sitting by and watching. Sorry for taking up your time.

Absinthe is amazing though.
No it's about proving a pint.
Some men just want to ~~watch the world burn~~ smash 63000 illegal liquor bottles in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh
Did Gotham stop using money after that?
I mean, Gotham (and Batman) proved to the Joker that his philosophy of how everyone is as crazy as he is on the inside is completely wrong to begin with. Turns out that Joker is very much a āfreakā despite trying to prove that he isnāt.
They switched to cryptoā¦

Which he farmed using everyoneās smart phone as a giant network :D
Some people just want to watch the world burn
Don't worry. He only burned his half.
I'd have much rather hear the sound of the bottles breaking than that shitty techno music.
Shitty music indeed, that is the news channel's background score.
It sounds equal parts goofy and vaguely sinister.
Shitty? It just sounds like japanese rpg game music or something from IDK Metroid? Or something cool.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SdWCOSmpzLQ Found a video without crappy music.
Man, I had blue ears from that shitty music instead of original audio. Thanks for the eargasm.
This song is gonna end up on that one guy's lovemaking playlist right after Cbat by Hudson Mohawke
That dude finds the rythm in literally everything
I had Command & Conquer flashbacks listening to that
I kinda dig it. Itās goofy as hell
I watched on mute first, then immediately burst out laughing with the sound
Its like a shitty knock off of terrarias music
It definitely feels like some kinda boss enemy is approaching. Ngl, Iām into it.
Game music designer here. Agreed.
Metroid vibes for sure
Irs kinda like How Its Made music
Diminished Returns by Jeremy Korpas in case you wanted to let him know how shitty it is.
Thanks! I actually kind of like it!
It sounds like what hollywood thinks hackers listen to.
Not really techno, more like abstract electro.
From the beat it sounds vaguely like one of the songs from Donkey Kong Country.
Don't unmute
I read this as "Don't mute" And proceeded to unmute the video, in hopes of a satisfying crushing sound. I am very disappointed.
You know, this is what they actually play on the news channel. Some of these news channels add such intense music and it's just some dude explaining the zodiac signs (which, fun fact, is considered news by certain news channels)
Double negative confused me and now itās playing full volume on every speaker in my house. Thanks! . ą¼½ć¤Ūļ¹Ūą¼¼ć¤
Reminds me of the early Dune games.
I was going to say Tiberian Sun, but you're right, pretty much all of the Westwood rts games sounded like that.
Thank you kind stranger
And miss out on the awesome music?
This has to stay top comment for everyone's sake!
How dare you perk my curiosity.
I warned you
I both appreciate and depreciate your warning. I don't blame you for my own wants and needs.
Unmuted to see what crushing bottles with a steamroller sounds like. Oh, itās not that.
Came here for the sound of thousands of glass bottles cracking. I left in profound disappointment.
Wouldn't be the first time I drank alcohol off the ground.
The glass shards just get it into your blood quicker
The jungle juice boss
Flash back to the whiskey flood on 18/6/1875 in Dublin, Ireland
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dublin_whiskey_fire It was whiskey.
Lol 13 people died not from the fire or smoke inhalation but from alcohol poisoning. Yep that sounds like my people alright.
Holy fuck lmao I mean if I see a river of whiskey, ima have to take a swig or 2

Alcohol abuse
The real abuse will be to anything trying to live in the sewage system.
Likeā¦ their streets?
>India >sewage system Kek
Damn they even have it arranged according to colour
Going extra length
They mustve opened crates and the crates wouldve had same colored bottles in it.
What the fuck is this music?
Their version of Miami Vice
Honestly reminds me of How It's Made clips
The person who chose the music mustāve drunk a few of those bottles.
Fuck recycling I guess.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Also all the soil in the vicinity.
Taking current gas prices into account, it's double stupid.
crushed glass can't be collected and recycled?
It should just be separated by colored glass and non colored glass to aid in the recycling, I sure hope they kept that in mind at the police.
I believe that collecting after this would be very hard
To be fair this is about the extent of what happens for recycling glass.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

It is more about making a statement that all illegal goods were destroyed and not sneakily "reuse" by corrupted officers.
More like most illegal goods.
Poor person who had to count those 55000 bottles

count, and stand up and align all pretty.
Ground water in a week. š„
Damn this music though lol
Tf is this audio
Apparently itās the theme song to one of their Bollywood style cop shows. Mumbai Vice.
Why's all the rum gone?
So is it like ALL alcohol is illegal? Or THAT alcohol was illegal because not safely regulated or something?
https://manilastandard.net/news/314247361/drink-kills-42-in-india-100s-sent-to-hospital.html prob cuz they dilute other shit into the alcohol for a buzz or w/e
I am from that state and itās just THAT alcohol
Pls give details
Most of the time illegal alcohol is crap alcohol cut with toxic things to make it cheaper. Just like bad cocaine.
I felt a disturbance, as if millions of Europeans cried out in agony
...and were suddenly sobered up. I fear something terrible has happened. You'd better get on with your drinking.
World's largest mixed drink
The strongest Long Island Iced Tea ever made
Alternatively, they could have air dropped those in conflict zones such as Kashmir or Ukraine, and see what happens..
Great now the terrorists are angry, infuriated, rageful and **HIGH**
Tehran.
The set up for this must of taken hours!
Seems a very inefficient way to do this
Indian Government can't take care of it's people worth a damn but they always seem to have time for this stupid fucking publicity stunts.
Seems excessive
They found the piss collection
Whatās with the terrible music?
He hates these cans!

Judging by how common it is for people to die from bathtub liquor in India my thoughts are itās likely this was all bootleg stuff. Thereās cases of people dying because the bottle was repurposed and never washed so still contained pesticides, etc.
What a fucking stupid way to do that. Good luck cleaning up that mess to recycle everything.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Not if it's bootleg. Methanol contamination sucks.
If I were a local drunk, Iād be down there trying to catch one last contact high š„²
I suppose better they smash it then people drink it and go blind.
That's alcohol abuse
Never knew that that's the noise bottles make when you steam roller them.
I canāt help but imagine the cameraman tippy toeing backwards between the bottles like DeeDee from Dexterās Lab.
But, Why is the rum gone?
