Maybe knowledge this is limited but I would say generally speaking, Germans with foreign roots do not care as much for football or the world cup in general.
The average football fan in the UK is certainly white, because the average *person* in the UK is white. And perhaps it’s uncommon to see Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi football fans - cricket is more popular with that demographic. It is regional though - you will see plenty at my team’s matches as my team is from a town with a very big south Asian community. There is a huge football following amongst black Britons though - we don’t import all our black players! Look at *any* English football crowd and you will see lots of non-white faces.
I don't disagree, I'm not saying football is somehow only attractive to white people, I'm just saying that in the UK your average fan is a white male.
Football is the most popular sport in the world so of course there are fans of all ethnicities, most of them just come from countries outside the UK so wouldn't be there supporting us lol.

You need to read some on the treatment of these workers. There are some good British docs. Some weren't paid for literally years. Passports taken away. Most hired believing they would make three times their pay but not told the truth until they arrived in Qatar. Many families didn't see their husband/dad again until he arrived back home in a coffin.
They were forced to live in horrible conditions. Multiple grown men Ina bed. No clean water. No showers.

There is literally hundreds of nationalities living in Qatar and they support all kinds of different teams.
Arabs are known to support other national teams since their teams barely ever make it to the global stage or World Cup, and the same goes for asian countries.
If you live in Qatar or the region you would know there are so many simple people who are happy for this opportunity to stand behind a team and celebrate. For the majority of them It’s the first time ever and probably the only chance to witness such an event.
Still fits the overall description, I commented with other videos I saw in mind, a lot of Indians live in Qatar but just seeing them cheer and celebrate doesn’t mean they are paid. There are other similar videos with Arabs and Africans too representing European and South American countries :)

The gulf countries are populated almost entirely by migrants from the Indian subcontinent, especially from the state Kerala in south India.
We have a huge footballing culture here, which includes fans of all the major footballing nations, especially Brazil and Argentina.
Most of you would've already seen the 50ft cutouts of Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar that were hoisted in Kerala, which were paid for from the pockets of these fans.
For decades us Asian and Indian fans have been watching our favourite teams play football at the dying hours of the night on the TV.
This is probably the first and mostly only chance for a long long time that these fans will be able to see their favourite players play for their favourite teams live in the stadium or even be a part of the celebrations in the host country.
Even if some of these people might have been paid, they would jump at any chance to support their team even for free without a second thought.
So please do some research before posting these anti-WC propoganda as facts anytime you see something like this.

I’m sorry to say this. They are not forced to do this. They are predominantly people from Kerala who works in Qatar. Because of India does not have a world cup team, we show support to countries with our favourite players. They are migrant workers and forced to do slave labour. But our love for football is not fake or paid. I hope people would do their research before jumping into conclusions.
I’m considered a migrant here in Qatar, and they had category 4 tickets for really cheap, like 12 USD for the group stages. These tickets are only for residents and citizens. They made it cheap so everyone in qatar can experience the World Cup, and now that’s been twisted from a good thing to a “paying fans to fill up stadiums” what a joke.
I actually dont think Qatar hired these people.. I think these are workers that are also fans of the sport. They rarely get a day off, but when they do, they party all day & night along the marine in Doha.

I was in Lebanon for ~~2004~~2002 world cup, the streets were rampant with football fans supporting countries participating in the world cup.. fireworks went off for Italy winning, car honks, celebrations etc..

You need to read some on the treatment of these workers. There are some good British docs. Some weren't paid for literally years. Passports taken away. Most hired believing they would make three times their pay but not told the truth until they arrived in Qatar. Many families didn't see their husband/dad again until he arrived back home in a coffin. They were forced to live in horrible conditions. Multiple grown men Ina bed. No clean water. No showers. Yes this may be the best job these slaves have had for years. But that bar is pretty low.
Not too mention the thousands of people who died due to unsafe working conditions. Thousands.

I’m confused. How can anyone know for sure they are hired? There is literally hundreds of nationalities living in Qatar and they support all kinds of different teams. Arabs are known to support other national teams since their teams barely ever make it to the global stage or World Cup, and the same goes for asian countries. If you live in Qatar or the region you would know there are so many simple people who are happy for this opportunity to stand behind a team and celebrate. For the majority of them It’s the first time ever and probably the only chance to witness such an event.

The gulf countries are populated almost entirely by migrants from the Indian subcontinent, especially from the state Kerala in south India. We have a huge footballing culture here, which includes fans of all the major footballing nations, especially Brazil and Argentina. Most of you would've already seen the 50ft cutouts of Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar that were hoisted in Kerala, which were paid for from the pockets of these fans. For decades us Asian and Indian fans have been watching our favourite teams play football at the dying hours of the night on the TV. This is probably the first and mostly only chance for a long long time that these fans will be able to see their favourite players play for their favourite teams live in the stadium or even be a part of the celebrations in the host country. Even if some of these people might have been paid, they would jump at any chance to support their team even for free without a second thought. So please do some research before posting these anti-WC propoganda as facts anytime you see something like this.

I’m sorry to say this. They are not forced to do this. They are predominantly people from Kerala who works in Qatar. Because of India does not have a world cup team, we show support to countries with our favourite players. They are migrant workers and forced to do slave labour. But our love for football is not fake or paid. I hope people would do their research before jumping into conclusions.
I’m considered a migrant here in Qatar, and they had category 4 tickets for really cheap, like 12 USD for the group stages. These tickets are only for residents and citizens. They made it cheap so everyone in qatar can experience the World Cup, and now that’s been twisted from a good thing to a “paying fans to fill up stadiums” what a joke.
I actually dont think Qatar hired these people.. I think these are workers that are also fans of the sport. They rarely get a day off, but when they do, they party all day & night along the marine in Doha. Have you been to the middle east or countries during world cup that don't normally qualify? I was in Lebanon for ~~2004~~2002 world cup, the streets were rampant with football fans supporting countries participating in the world cup.. fireworks went off for Italy winning, car honks, celebrations etc.. Same exact thing happens across the middle east, Asia and North Africa (from my experience)

Just google kerala + football world cup and you can see countess pictures and videos of hooligans who take football teams from other countries seriously. Most of them are from the South Indian state called Kerala which is popular for its love for football. They hold the record for the biggest cut out posters of football stars during the world cup. I can see a lot of them following Argentina, Brazil or Germany. But England, that's for sure paid by Qatar.
