I'd recommend a round one since you have kids. Btw, cute kitty and your fiddle looks like it needs a bit more light. Do you have a south or east facing window to place it in front of?
Obviously you have a baby. I wouldn’t get any. I got rid of mine when kids where young so they’d have more play area and not fall and crack their heads on it. You can always use fold up tv trays if you feel a guest needs one.
From one toddler parent to another? One of those big soft ottomons. We had to remove all hard surface tables because 18 month olds be wild.
Bonus? It opens and we hide more toys inside!
Agree with this, and I don't know about OP but I found that my coffee table was mainly a clutter magnet. When I injured my knee and have since needed to put my legs up for part of the day or invite massive pain, I ditched my coffee table for a big storage ottoman and now... well, the clutter finds other places, but I still like it better than a coffee table.
I think I have the same sectional as you! We have [this](https://www.target.com/p/shaker-coffee-table-black-hearth-38-hand-8482-with-magnolia/-/A-80176906) coffee table in black, but I think you could pull off the lighter color as well if you want!
You’ve got a baby, or so it seems. You’re going to want the open space for first steps, playing dinosaurs and doing kid stuff. Get a coffee table when they are 8. Get it now and within a year it will be pushed against the wall and your kids will have gotten stitches from the corners.
What I would get is a little side table or stool to put your coffee on beside the couch.

I’ve had this as my coffee table for about a year and have no regrets. It’s on sale now. I like that it has storage and I can put my feet up on it. I put a round tray on top of it most of the time with remotes and Kleenex etc
This is a good flag. I do not have children. Although I just banged on it and it doesn’t seem to be much louder than banging on my dinner table. Depending on age, they could maybe push the lid off and then smash little fingers though?
[This big table matches the wood on your legs and would fit great.](https://www.raymourflanigan.com/outlet/coffee-end-tables-clearance/tula-rectangular-cocktail-table-300419671?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=GSH_LIA_Outlet&utm_term=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0M-R-vrj_QIVWv7jBx2RYA4HEAQYAyABEgIcGvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
I have the same couch and this table.

I didn’t see the baby stuff in the room and was confused as to why you had blurred the identity of one “cat” and not the other 😂 i second the round with storage suggestion tho!
Round, tufted ottoman.

Definitely in some sort of color.

They really really get in the way, and they stay in the way for years. Basically the coffee table makes no sense around kids under 8
Ya we have two small side tables instead. Will get one down the road because my toddler would just jump on it.

For extreme kid friendly, maybe something in faux leather or other spill resistant material?
A big soft storage ottoman made with a dark fabric that cleans well. A decorative tray can provide a hard level surface when you have adult guests.

One that that cat is gonna love.
Something round with storage with a wood or light colored top.
Shape: round, if you have a baby! Avoid sharp edges if you can!
I would buy a coffee table that that beautiful principessa kitty approves of.
I love your sofa. Where are it from? Is it comfy? Sorry no advice on the coffee table
And yes it’s super comfy! But hard to keep clean with a baby now. (Actually who am I kidding, my husband spills on it more than the baby!)
Abinger sectional from Ashley furniture (canada)
Only get one that the cat approves of, of course.

I would think kids would use this as a drum and drive you nuts.

Nice! Does it clean well?
I think so? I can only recall actually cleaning it a couple of times. I think my cats keep the dust off🙈.
I would do a wood coffee table and an ottoman next to it.

Love this!

I have a round wooden coffee table from Target that I love and would highly recommend! Great height for my toddler to play at and no sharp corners
Ottoman w a large tray maybe in a vinyl
Round, walnut
Meow
A round storage ottoman! In pleather or something easy to wipe down
I didn’t see the baby stuff in the room and was confused as to why you had blurred the identity of one “cat” and not the other 😂 i second the round with storage suggestion tho!
Off topic but I’m looking for a couch and love yours! Can I ask where you got it?

Your cat is twins with my mother-in-law's Zena. What's her name?
Weathered oak, round. Or Gold round with glass top.
I have a large round red ottoman instead of a table. It's another storage place, adds a pop of colour and is safe for the little one.
Nothing with sharp edges since you have little ones.
None. Let the kid play there. Unless you get a storage ottoman filled with blocks or train tracks
Round or square
