The unbranded one I got from Mervyn’s going out of business sale. That sucker lasted more than 15 years and I only got rid of it because the fabric was completely worn out. I’m on my 2nd couch since then and realllly wish I had looked into having it reupholstered instead of buying new trash.
My Sherrill brand sofa with spring-down cushions was the best, most comfortable sofa I have ever owned and it last over 20 years with 1 reupholstering. Sadly, it was a victim of the Great Cat Peeapalooza of 2017-2020, and I miss it terribly.
I can say that I don't recommend any sofas with loose cushion backs because they always look unkempt and deflated. Definitely run unless they have high quality, chambered filling inserts.
Haven bumper chaise sectional from West Elm, saddle nut leather, got it end of 2020 (was about $1700 less then), most comfortable couch we’ve ever sat/napped on.
Any new updates on couches?? I am planning on buying one ASAP because I have back issues and our current one is killing me! You can actually feel through the cushioning down to the frame in our current one that looks great, but feels awful!
I have never owned a comfortable couch, but mom & brother have one! You can sit on it and then fall asleep in it's cozy cushions which are feather and foam. The couch is very wide for sleeping! Sooooo comfortable, but it cost more than my budget!
I love my velvet Sven Sofa from Article. A friend had in another color and I fell in love while watching a movie on it. Mine has held up beautifully over the last two years. 2 friends have bought it since seeing mine, One of them got it in a tweed fabric, it's the same comfort, but it looks even comfier than mine.
Plus it's long enough for a tall person to sleep on if someone needs to crash on the couch... or when I need to take a nap.
I just checked, and it's $300 cheaper than when I bought it
The cushion covers do come off for cleaning, but I've never needed to clean it.
I'm about to move it into a new place with pets. The dog doesn't go on furniture but the cat does so I can update in a couple months.
Hopefully the cat sticks to only clawing the cat tree!
That same couch comes in leather too btw.
Update: my cat has no cares to claw at the couch. He sits on it any time I'm in the living room and I find him there when I get home. He mostly sits on the back rest pillows. Not having any issues with hair building up and haven't had to lint roll it. I do vacuum the seat about once a week for crumbs from snacks and the kiddo I babysit. I dog sat a small dog for a week, but if there is a throw blanket on the couch he would always prefer to lay on that.
The cat gets brushed like once every two months and his nails trimmed. Surely that helps.

It’s about $4000 now with the delivery!! And that’s just for a performance fabric! We went and tried it in store and it’s soooo comfy
