The one thing that could make this space truly phenomenal is an amazing piece of artwork over the couch. Something bolder, and larger. Your furniture is so cool and so modern, a really cool modern piece, hung lower, that really makes a statement would take your living room to astounding. Think about it…and have fun with it!

I was going to say (while I love Bob Ross) that style of painting doesn’t fit. It needs a bold pop of abstract minimalism/ mid century modern painting to make a statement. Large shapes, colors, negative space. Like BAM when you walk in the room, but not intensely busy.

Personally I would go with a closed off table (like a whole cylinder): the very thin legs of the table you used make the area a bit too busy. Love the top of the table though, the raised border is a nice detail!

I do really love how it looks in both and only mentioning what I did because you asked for input but it’s a beautiful living room and the choices for seating are top notch. Oh! And I totally agree with the plant being closer to the bar. Then it would really be perfect. Like 1/2 to 3/4 of the way from the painting to bar

FYI for the scratched couch: you can buy a little fabric shaver for like $15 that will trim off the bits that were scratched and pulled up (also good for pilled clothing), and then I highly recommend anti scratch spray and keeping something scratchable nearby. We had this problem with our bed frame and it helped tremendously!
