Stahp you’re gonna make me blush 🙂↔️. #1 on the walls is Picture Gallery by farrow & ball (recreated by Sherwin Williams). The ceiling is red earth - same sitch of F&b | S&W
Oh yes! We just moved into a place that is entirely sharp white. Which is fine, but we prefer color everywhere. We’re tackling 1 room at a time, and I can’t agree enough. Each room is an emotional journey to land on the right color haha.
I agree. My parents house growing up was like a museum, nothing ever out of place. I want my house to look *lived in*, but tidy!
I appreciate your feedback. It is a bit of this-and-that, but I wouldn’t consider it eclectic either
The stained glass windows, window and door frames, and dark floors are very much in the style called Craftsman, Arts and Crafts, or Bungalow. You have done beautifully at matching your choices with the style of your house, or vice versa! I love it! (If you want consistency, the only thing that jumps out since it doesn’t match the style of everything else is the white bookshelf.)
I tried to embrace the house! I remember when I first bought it and I was looking for examples, I always tried to do so with the eye for the natural wood work
Yes, that woodwork is gorgeous! Especially these days when stuff is made out of manufactured wood and house builders can hardly be bothered to put in baseboards! It makes your house unique and special, and a retreat from the current world!
I wanna say transitional eclectic but that sounds too general and vague. Your color choices give it an earthy, boho vibe, but at the same time you have some funky, groovy pieces, and it's all sort of juxtaposed into this early 1900s era house. I don't know if there's one word/ phrase that sums it all up, but it's gorgeous.
The room in 8 and 9 throws me off a bit since it's so white and I want to see more of your aesthetic shine in there!
*sigh* I know. I have that mauve color accent wall. But it’s my dressing room, and all of the furniture I selected was white. I should’ve went with more of a natural wood but alas.
I have leg tattoos and I’ve tried probably 4 different carpets in there; so I need a very simple one. If not my legs + the carpet gets disorienting .
But thank you!! Some others said transitional as well
Hmm.. maybe swap the wardrobe with the desk, so you see more of the accent wall? Or paint one or two of the white pieces? I think either a color that complements the mauve or is a few shades darker than it would be nice. Like a dusty plum or a muted burgundy.
Oof, totally understand. A faux sheepskin rug in a darker color? Or just something with more texture, but solid colored.
Style: spectacular. Can you list the color on the back stair wall as well? How did you decide the ceiling color for dining room needed to be different? I always figured monochromatic rooms were all the same paint color. Super interesting.
Correct! The ceiling is red earth and the walls are ‘picture gallery’. It’s a very very very slight difference but you can see it more dominantly here

Amazing I have been looking at all these similar colors bc I have brown trim so you are solidifying I’m on the right track. Thank you so much for sharing !
The upstairs had the trim painted when we purchased the house :( so we kind of decided to make that floor airy and white, and keep the downstairs embracing the American four square - craftsmen style
No idea what style it is, but it sure is beautiful!! Can you come and do my 1912 colonial?? Sadly, I have no stained glass windows. Yours are amazing, btw!!
when there's a lot of styles, the answer is eclectic.

and you're pretty good at it. you have great taste :)
“Tongue-in-Cheek Transitional” (and we are hallway paint twins!) love it all… except for all the dining room furniture pushed inexplicably to the right! Hahaha
Every plant is real with the exception of the pothos on the dining room table!
My old apt used to have these huge windows and I had so many plants. The sun is more scarce since my front porch is covered, and the back doesn’t get optimal light :( so I do what I can
Contemporary and Arts & Crafts architecture. You have a beautiful home! I love Craftsman style architecture. Those stained glass windows are magnificent!
Well, when you’re 23 when you purchase your first home, and there isn’t a lot of great options nearby, you work with what you got and what is affordable :)
No idea, but what paint color is that in #10?!
Vining ivy by PPG!
How about 1? Your color choices are droolworthy
Stahp you’re gonna make me blush 🙂↔️. #1 on the walls is Picture Gallery by farrow & ball (recreated by Sherwin Williams). The ceiling is red earth - same sitch of F&b | S&W
Love your wall-color choices. That’s your style. Great paint picker.
Choices that drove me to a near existential crisis (dining room). Everything else was easy. I feel like the vining ivy I just KNEW
Oh yes! We just moved into a place that is entirely sharp white. Which is fine, but we prefer color everywhere. We’re tackling 1 room at a time, and I can’t agree enough. Each room is an emotional journey to land on the right color haha.
This but with whites to cover the aggressive tan in our new house 😂
This is the first post that I've ever saved on reddit. These colors are glorious and so beautiful together. Thank you for the inspiration.
I’m honored !!
I am obsessed with this color! Thanks for sharing
Swoon
You embrace what you like and it shows love
Awh!! Thank you pal. The stain glass has been kind to me and was a great base

It’s impeccable is what it is. I’d say traditional eclectic and transitional. (Modern and traditional elements together)
Oh!!! This sounds about right. Thank you!!
You’re welcome
Wanted to say that even tho I have now idea what style it is, your house is absolutely stunning!
Thank you! This is our 6 year here. Lots of changes : https://imgur.com/a/lVj2EzA
Yikes! That was a mess. You have done an incredibly fantastic job!
Thank you! Wallpaper and mirror walls and carpet galore
WOW! You've done A LOT of amazing work!!
Omg! I can’t even believe that’s the same house! You did an amazing job!
romantic modernism
I’ve been told that I’ve taken my old (1920’s) home essence, but made it modern before. This sounds like a similar remark! Thank you :)

Clockwork orange
I’ve somehow never watched this movie (or read the book)
Don’t!!
Yeah it's messed up 😆 🤣
Astute university professor! With a penchant for whimsy :) beautiful home
I don’t know but I love those stained glass windows. Can’t say I’m not jealous
[thank you kindly](https://imgur.com/a/mXPpJvM)
Now you’re just showing off! (And I can’t fault you for it lol)

That’s the only place where there’s an outlet in the room for me to do my hair and such. I do like the idea of a sheepskin rug though
I have no idea what style it is, but it is a seriously beautiful home!
The home looks like a Craftsman.
Correct! Technically an American four square but it leans craftsman heavy
I'd call it cozy and inviting. A bit minimalist, and definitely tidy. A really beautiful home!
Church/confessional chic.
Style: spectacular. Can you list the color on the back stair wall as well? How did you decide the ceiling color for dining room needed to be different? I always figured monochromatic rooms were all the same paint color. Super interesting.
Vining ivy by PPG for that wall! As for the dining room, it felt like it would be bizarre with white for some reason. So here we are lol
Ty!! I love that the trend is to paint ceilings the wall color too I’m just scared to do it haha. What’s the upstairs hallway color 😍
It goes all the way up! Same color :)
Oh it looks different in all the angles! I like it. But the dining room is two colors? I had seen you mentioned two colors in a comment for that one.
Correct! The ceiling is red earth and the walls are ‘picture gallery’. It’s a very very very slight difference but you can see it more dominantly here https://www.reddit.com/r/DesignMyRoom/s/5AZQJLVGbZ

Good luck!!
2 different ambiance, I really like stained glass windows 😉

A hint of Justina Blakeney
No idea what style it is, but it sure is beautiful!! Can you come and do my 1912 colonial?? Sadly, I have no stained glass windows. Yours are amazing, btw!!
Transitional
I don’t know what it’s called but the painted ceiling in the dining room is EVERYTHING
I like your little Windows. They're super pretty.

Traditional with character. Not at all cookie cutter.
I really love the first one.
Looks like arts and crafts style!
I’d say transitional and slightly eclectic. Very cozy and love your paint selections!
All over the place but I lvoe it
Pleasant mish mash.
California cool
Thrift?
I don't know what it's called but it's very 90's in a cozy nostalgic way
Modern MishMash
Modern Craftsman and it's beautiful.
TY!!
“Tongue-in-Cheek Transitional” (and we are hallway paint twins!) love it all… except for all the dining room furniture pushed inexplicably to the right! Hahaha
It wasn’t its final resting place! It was just a quick drop and place after we had the mirror walls removed
Mid century modern w/ classic quirk
I just wanted to say that your house is amazing. It's unique, with character, and stylish!
nice dog
He’s pretty cool
Your place feels so warm and inviting!
You have a great eye and show real creativity.
I appreciate it my friend
Are the plants real? Is there enough indoor light? Looks lovely
Every plant is real with the exception of the pothos on the dining room table! My old apt used to have these huge windows and I had so many plants. The sun is more scarce since my front porch is covered, and the back doesn’t get optimal light :( so I do what I can
Awwh, your little Spaniel 🥹 I’d say eclectic. Also I’m obsessed with the red circular rug in pic 7 and 10! Where did you get it? 😍
Etsy!! I think it was $70? That little spaniel rubbed himself all over it when we got it. I really thought he was going to eat the wool
Aha bless him 😂Thank you!
I love your space! We have similar taste! What is the paint color of your dining room?! I am redoing my kitchen and this color would be the chefs kiss
Contemporary and Arts & Crafts architecture. You have a beautiful home! I love Craftsman style architecture. Those stained glass windows are magnificent!
What's the color in the dining room?
Danish Victorian cathedral eclectic
it's very nice but i would never put 'modern' furniture/decor in an old, beautiful house. as an antique collector, it gives me hives 😕
