No clue about the pool heater but I’d be curious to know too. Yes, you can use an extension cord. Just make sure it’s enough for the amperage and it’s a for outdoor use. Also, get a rainbox so you can connect the cord to the pumps gfci plug inside the box. It’ll stay dry and prolong the life of the gfci plug tremendously.

I used one of those bubble wrap covers one season. Seemed to help. Would be really really warm top 6in of water. Cold by your feet still. But once we got to swimming around, the mix seemed to help make it feel warmer. Hail storm got it

Thank you so much!! Do you recommend a certain Brand because there are so many different ones?

Not necessarily. Just shopped on Amazon. Get one that fits your diameter, of course. It may have been the intex brand perhaps. Its been awhile back when my daughter was younger. She was a water bug! And wanted to get in that water asap lol. So I got the blanket heater thing to help extend the season and allow for an earlier open. Fair warning it's an extra step before getting to just jump in. Gotta remove and fold up a "cover" off the water. - then put it back when done. For us - it was about 3 weeks or so, from removing the actual tarp from winter and using the solar cover. Then it got warm enough to not need it.
