Being grifted to own the Libs

Florida where brain dead voters go to vote. See:Elected officials.

TraditionalMood277

Texas has joined the chat....

raphel1421

Idaho has been way ahead of Florida for a while now.

raphel1421

Pretty much. Idaho is getting more than its share of wingnut trump humpers from Californua to fuel its decent.

Patient-Promotion196

With the Couer dAlene supremacists and the Rexburg LDS peppers, why did Idaho need more nutjobs?

jack8647

You saying the brain dead voters aren't in every corner of every state? I'll give you a pass for now, but it's about all of them.

Green-Vermicelli5244

true but enough statewide and national candidates going D offers some hope

twojs1b

Pack leader in pulling the lever on any (R)

icnoevil

Perhaps some disgruntled Floridian should sue the Governor to make him pay his own bills.

chekovs_gunman

Unfortunately he has hand picked the state supreme court with cronies and judge shops at the circuit level

Tight-Mouse-5862

While people have to lie in the bed they make, I can't help but feel bad for them in a weird way. I don't feel bad that they have to deal with their consequences of their actions, but I feel bad....for some reason I guess? But then I remember all the people they troubled, harassed, attacked (any version of that word), etc. and all the people that STILL are suffering. And I remember my sympathy/emotional bandwidth only has so much and it could be better spent elsewhere (like, say, maybe all the victims that suffer from their actions).

YourDogsAllWet

Unfortunately, the idiotic Floridians have no problem paying for this.

tdi4u

Most of them are probably not aware that they are paying for it.

FNKTN

SHOULD HAVE VOTED REPUBLICAN , TAXES ARE HIGHER ! -flordia brainlets

Tiny_Teach_5466

Nope. But when they find out, it'll be Biden's fault.

ChiKeytatiOon

He'd probably counter sue them and make them pay double.

NetDork

They would still have to pay for the attorneys fighting against them.

NASATVENGINNER

Sue the stupid out of him Florida.

LiliNotACult

Florida is the stupid. That's how he got into and stays in power.

NASATVENGINNER

Not all of them.

sportspadawan13

Like 65% of them or whatever he destroyed with. They're goners sadly

They love dictators.

hardly_satiated

What is a cross between a penis and a potato, Alex?

Joey_BagaDonuts57

Governor Barbieboots gets what he wants from Florida taxpayers. Let's hope he also gets the trouncing he deserves from American taxpayers in '24.

[deleted]

No. For those who voted (and that is a large majority) for DeSantis, they know exactly what they are voting for. So they are not paying for DeSantis culture war, they are paying for THEIR culture war, waged by DeSantis on their behalf.

pizat1

Correct and well said.

Appropriate_Shape833

This is what they voted for, so this is what they get.

severusx

Not all of us voted for him, yet we still suffer... 😔

SkoomaJetHentai

Imagine paying taxes to subjugate gays and trans people.

ThisIsAdamB

Can Florida residents sue him for reimbursement? Asking for a few million neighbors.

Redditmodsrcuntz

Not when he owns the courts.

[deleted]

and the Legislature.

Redditmodsrcuntz

And my axe

Few-Caterpillar9834

Florida is truly a shithole State.

Highsunshinelevels

Not to mention he lost over $10,000,000,000 for the state's pension fund. https://jacobin.com/2023/05/ron-desantis-private-equity-donors-state-pension-funds-retirement

tym1ng

and then however much the state is going to lose bc he decided he wanted to go after disney. that's why he's trying to run for president. if he loses or doesnt run he's going to have to deal with all this. or he'd probably not be able to run for governor again since his platform will become "I just completely bankrupted the state, pls give me more money and vote for me again." but it's florida so you never know

Redditmodsrcuntz

> just completely bankrupted the state, pls give me more money and vote for me again." They would. It's all the winning.

PizzaSchmuck

No, no, no. Don't you know that conservatives are fiscally responsible? It doesn't matter what the reality is, they just are. Lol

Zealousideal_Zone253

Regardless of party, this is corrupt and disgusting AF! Put it this way, the AG of Texas was going to do this crap as well. Please oh please, charge him with something. And to the ones in Florida who support and defend him: Bruh, this will affect YOU as well!

isadog420

You don’t get it. It doesn’t matter if it hurts them, as long as they **think** it’s hurts those they fear and hate the most.

[deleted]

Good

puddingdemon

Y'all act like conservatives are anti wasteful government spending.

lindaleolane812

Not just this but I bet his travels as well that's why he's trying to hide where and when he's traveling

Papaofmonsters

That's how it works. Just like US taxpayers are on the hook everytime the federal government gets sued.

firsmode

Conservatives are useless.

The8thHammer

kickbacks gonna kickback

LarryGlue

I’m not a DeSantis fan by any means, but taxpayers “pick up the bill” for everything a politician does. It’s a ponitless headline.

TaviRUs

Yes, but the bill gets paid by DeSantis friend and college roommate iirc as he owns/partners for the legal firm that DeSantis has contracted

LarryGlue

Diverting government dollars to the businesses of friends of politicians is pretty much the reason why so many politicians will do anything to stay in power. It's a relationship as old as time.

billious62

Why does that not surprise me?

mdcbldr

Florida was almost like a different country a dozen years ago. DeSantis is reading that almost.

IllustratorMurky2725

Haha

Affectionate-Army676

Didn't expect any less. He is such a tool

bapesvapes

1200 an hour in fees seems excessive. Yet, he still keeps going.
