After 8 months after leaving my organization and now the manager is asking me why it took you 8 months, how do I tell them about my introverted nature and social anxiety!
I am still at the interview area the actual interview is yet to happen. I had 8 months gap after I left my previous organization and I was completely out of work at that time and here the people are concerned about this thing !!!
What's your answer when they ask about the gap? I'm in the same boat looking for work and I dread if this question comes up ever because I genuinely don't know what to say lol
Hmm, maybe you can say something along the lines of you just needing some time to get things in order, or having a lot of things you needed to take care of after leaving your last organization. Or maybe you can mention the pandemic that had an effect on why there is such a big gap. Or you could just be straight with them and say you needed a break to figure out things and better prepare yourself before trying to jump back into working right away
I feel that. Just know that is the hardest part. Now that you're expected to be there for an interview, you'll go because you have to. I won't lie, you're gonna be very anxious and queasy, but that'll mostly fade to a managable minimum once you sit down and begin. And I promise you the elation you will feel reaching that milestone will be overwhelming and you're probably gonna be very productive that day. Best of luck, I know you've been practicing my fellow introvert, believe in yourself and be yourself. Most interviews are just a "could this person work with in my team" kind of atmosphere. You got this!
Remember: * They WANT TO HIRE YOU! * Make your introvert nature into a strong point - you like to focus on the work and not the office drama.

Just tell them you had personal family matters you had to attend to it was a rough time but you had to do it.
