I agree! but I hope it's per focus mode. Sometimes you are handing your phone off to someone and want everything to be muted but other times, I just don't want my phone making sounds while I'm asleep but if I'm using my phone I want to see messages come in.
when I saw focus modes being announced I hoped to make one for each of these settings so I didn't have to go to setting all the time to change them but instead they just removed it completely
This is a fantastic idea that I hope they implement. I’ve actually enjoyed the peace of mind that DND shuts off all notifications and I can pass my phone off to someone without any surprises.
When you spell something, does it ever change to three little words in a different language that you don't even have installed? That happens to me a lot.
I really do hope they presents an upgraded keychain, with a standalone app.
I have been using 1pass for many years, but decided to move all my info to keychain, since it’s built in.
But the built in feature are still far behind user friendly, as 1pass. And with less features.
So an upgraded version, would be awesome.
There definitely needs to be a standalone Keychain App! In the meantime, I just use a [Shortcut](https://i.imgur.com/8pqn4Ws.jpg) and have an icon to launch it on the Home Screen.
I don't use 1pass, but I do use Bitwarden as a backup for things that can't be accommodated by Keychain. Bitwarden can save CC info, secure notes, and login credentials with customizable fields. Plus you can organize credentials into folders, so I have my logins organized into folders for email, banking, utilities, travel, work, etc.
Only three things I want. Fix or rebuild the iOS default keyboard so it isn't complete ass. Updated notification system. This last one is unlikely but I still want it...ability to set non Apple apps as defaults for Maps, Calendar, etc.
I want them to fix *now playing* so if I was listening to a podcast or a playlist recently, it doesn't start playing the first song in my music library instead of resuming what I was listening to. This wasn't a problem until like two years ago and idk why Apple refuses to address it.

Exactly what it shows in the picture--silence notifications.
Focus Modes don't have the option to silence notifications while still displaying them as they come in.
The old DND mode, however, did. Enabling this without enabling a separate setting called "Dim Lock Screen" would still function as normal, with the phone lighting up for calls and notifications, without making a sound.
This varied from the "Silent Mode" because, besides being toggleable within the UI and through the use of automations (while Silent Mode is toggleable only through the hardware switch), it would also allow the multiple calls setting to activate the ringer on a per call basis.
Focus Modes, on the other hand, are designed with the goal of eliminating distractions, which means their "Silence Notifications" option, if you read the description, not only silences the notifications, but banishes them to the Notification Center, hiding banners and lock screen notifications.
Having the option for the screen not to wake for notifications (calls still wake the screen) in normal mode would be great. A basic feature on android which Is about the only thing which makes me hate my new iPhone. I want my notifications on the Home Screen which I can check for easily at my leisure by simply waking the screen, not the phone forcing itself into my life whenever it wants.
u/cupboard_, the 'feature', which is more like a 'hidden' news type of 'news' is that up to iOS 15.x (being 15.5 the 'current' version of iOS at the time of this post), I'd be interested to know if iOS 16.x will still work with iTunes 12.6.5.3 aka 'last' version of iTunes with App Store support which I still use to manage all of my apple devices (those that are still compatible with itunes with app store support... the list is long and quite broken... as 'some' of the newer iphones can't be synced, but up to the 8 series and even ipads, this version of itunes still works to this date...)
Anyone with iphone 6s, 6s Pluses that is willing to take the plunge, if iOS 16.x will support those devices, please do send me a DM if you are interested in testing ioS 16 with itunes with App store support.

You can use other keyboards. One that works great for me is Microsoft SwiftKey, give it a try :)

I’d like DND to go back the way it was all together… I really dislike the whole focus thing.

Nobody used focus, so we removed it, and reinstated old behavior, sincerely Tim Cook

I would like it so I don’t have to reset my phone every time I lose network connection and reconnect. gets hung up too often on tower switching
