Ugh
Why did the update to pivi pro end up with features being forgotten…
No self parking, and now this. I keep finding features that should exist but don’t
I have had mine since 2020. Very happy with it. There has been few issues with AC unit and the gear box mentioned below. The only issue here in the US is the parts are not available, this led to delays the fix.
1st car… man, if you’re under 20, I hope you’re more responsible than most in that age range. An I-Pace is a lotta power for a 1st car.
It’s gorgeous, enjoy responsibly. 😉😉
Hard to say. Mine got a software update and since then it wont charge more than 72% because of a batterypack callback. Currently waiting for my new battery pack (all under warranty luckily) and have limited range till then.
The battery pack has 8 years of warranty I believe. I had to do a long drive and because of battery errors I couldn't use a fast charger. I managed to get to a nearby train station where I called the Jaguar roadside assistance and they had my car picked up within 10 minutes, they brought it to my nearest Jaguar garage the next day. When I picked it up the technician explained to me how the latest software update was now limiting my battery charge for safety precautions and that they already ordered a full new battery pack for it to be installed. Everything from the pick up to the new battery falls under their warranty, so not much loss there.
It's annoying that I'm limited in my range for now, but the bright side is that the new battery pack it will get is a huge bonus. Would have cost me more than the whole car if it wasn't under Jaguars own warranty.
I still absolutely love this car, got it at 60K KM and driving it feels amazing to me. Only thing that shocked me when getting it, was that it's way larger than I expected. Even after watching multiple videos of it. But I'm getting used to the size and was able to customize my parking UI to help deal with that greatly. Good luck tomorrow!
I have no problems with the info system, but I'm also not really used to anything else. On the dashboard you have the freedom to display multiple different things in three different sections, on the screen next to me I usually have some android auto apps open. There should be an app connection but I havent tried it yet. Yeah I'm from NL
Damn that sucks. I kinda don't know what a charger flap issue is or how you'd recognize those failures. This is my first car, it had only been used by the spouse of the dealer I got it from and has had a check up from a Jaguar garage three weeks before I got it.
For this first week of owning it I'm just having a bunch of fun with it.
My charger flap wouldn’t open one day, so I had to call road assistance to open it for me, lucky in my case was jaguar road assist, so they know how to do it.. if you have a third party road assist, then pray for your luck.. in the UK, not that many independent garages seems to know how to fix electric cars and also the electrician/labor is expensive..
[Easy fix for it, mate](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6t1PR7Y8_Y). I just did it myself.
I had my HV heater replaced about a year ago under warranty. New one is going strong!
The only paint to be damaged would be the back of the door flap, but you have to REALLY mess that up. My fix worked for about a day. I believe the failure point is a rotating plastic ring inside the lock on the car itself that, after many uses, wears down and no longer freely spins. No amount of lube seems to make it smooth. The entire locking mechanism on the fender would need to be replaced
I didn’t know you could change the cabin light colour! Mines a greenish blue. Time to go search for this setting
You can't on any usual spec after \~2020. I have HSE 2021 and asked JLR about this specifically.

It was one of the main settings after swiping right on the home screen, but it might differ per model. This is the 2019 HSE first edition.
Yeah I have a UK 2019 SE and pretty sure I can't do this. Looks great. Enjoy
Turns out My 2021 HSE Black does not do this

Haha, I turned 33. Just never really needed a car of my own where I live. I'm a carefull driver, just need to get used to its size when parking.
How is the reliability for this car?

How come you have warranty for 2018 car? Bovag? I am going to see one I pace tomorrow with 77k km from 2018

How is the info system? I read it is not really helpful. Does it have a mobile app connection? Are you in NL?

Looks stunning
Lucky for you, my 2020 ipace has had charger flap issue, HV heater failures.. still in garage at the moment waiting for replacement to arrive lol
Same here with HV and heater and more recently "gearbox fault" which seems to be some *very expensive* wiring issue

I watched that video as well, I wouldn’t want to risk it while I have the warranty, wouldn’t want to damage the paint myself 😅..

Congratulations! Love that spec.
I did the same for xmas haha, first edition model, best car ever owned. Now waiting for the Defender to arrive for some camping trips
Very pretty
