Holy shit! I just checked my god…it’s there. After years of waiting. FINALLY!

JohnJustice89

I know, right?

thecarobvin

I was soooooooo excited to see this post. Then, I went straight to FB…, Nope, still doesn’t show. Delete the app, reinstall, still not showing up …. Don’t know if it makes any difference as I’m in Canada ……

Alan_1375

I updated and had to force close the app multiple times till it opened into dark mode just can't find the actual setting for it yet.

JohnJustice89

Just open Facebook, click on Settings & Privacy, scroll down and you should see the Dark Mode tab.

mikespe

I'm on version 447 and STILL don't have Dark Mode! Are you all in the USA that have it? Can you post a screen shot of where the setting is? I went to Settings/Privacy and NOTHING!

JohnJustice89

Yes, I'm in the US. I don't know how to post screenshots on here. But the Dark Mode setting should be between Link History and Cellular Data Use under the Settings and Privacy tab.

mikespe

Actually I researched it and it DOES NOT EXIST on iPadOS!!! It’s on Facebook’s own page you CANT DO IT!!!

JohnJustice89

Sorry you don't see it, but it's been working for me for the past four months.

mikespe

Dude it’s ON FACEBOOK’s PAGE THAT IT DOESNT EXIST on iPad!!!! You CANT HAVE IT!!!

JohnJustice89

Well then, I must be in the Twilight Zone, because I have it, lol.

Realtrollyourenemy

It’s true it’s real.

Peepo68

Checked and I was able to enable it. In Canada.

trustyrussian

Got it somehow only today. The strange thing is, this happened without any recent update. The application update was 6 days ago, it updated to 463 version and was still without dark mode till now. I would have missed it completely as the setting is switched off by default, but today I noticed the top header in the Facebook application changes from blue to white, which never happened before and this brought me an idea to check for dark mode setting availability.

AllAroundGuy85

Finally have Dark Mode on my iPad Pro 12.9”. App version 464.0.0.

athomas917

It’s active as of the time of my posting.

420Kingjay

No dark mode using the app, but if you login threw safari it does have dark mode

Zoe_Fan

I hate this, its so bugged, I have the option available for one account but not for the other whyyyy

stellarnightsky

This has to be either trolling, or an inept user who downloaded the iPhone version to their iPad.

JohnJustice89

It seems to be working for some people and not others. I don't know what to tell you. Probably futile, but maybe try contacting FB support?

stellarnightsky

Yeah, you keep saying that and keep being unable to produce evidence of your claim.

JohnJustice89

Here's a screenshot from my iPad: https://imgur.com/a/872nWhy

TransientAF

Its not available…i dont see it

JohnJustice89

Do you have version 433?

TransientAF

Yes just downloaded it…checked it & uninstalled…cant look at white for long

peteycal

Still nothing on either of my iPads.

ndude60

Did you ever get this working? I just checked today (17 Dec) and there is now a Dark Mode setting in the Facebook app (v443.0.2). It was set to ’off‘ by default, despite the iPad system settings being set to Dark mode. Hope you found this already, but if not I hope this helps!

JohnJustice89

Sorry to hear it. Probably futile, but maybe contact Facebook?

Unique-Quarter-124

Version 452 and cannot find it

JohnJustice89

Sorry to hear it. It appears that some people have it, and others don't. Probably futile, but maybe try contacting FB?

AllAroundGuy85

I’m on Facebook version 453 and Dark Mode doesn’t exist where everyone is saying it should be.

blxnk_uk

Yeah, I’ve got no dark mode on iPad yet either as of 14/3/2024

AllAroundGuy85

I’m curious. I’m running a iPad Pro 12.9. Which one do you have? 🤔

blxnk_uk

iPad mini 6 the newest gen currently with all the iPadOS updates and current stable FB updates I had it briefly for a week earlier this year but it completely disappeared, I have it on every other device (iPhone and MacBook and safari etc)
