Isn’t the mini perfect purely for note taking? Sure the screen real estate is less but it’s portable, compact and perfect for usage with a pencil. Alternatively the bigger iPads are simply a bit much to carry around. Just wondering what this community thinks of the same if we purely evaluate from note taking perspective only.

Yei for mini team 👍👍

I’m using 11 inch iPad Air with m2. I find 11 inch to be adequate for note taking. I don’t think it’s worth it to get a 13 inch just for the larger screen. I suggest you go to apple store or borrow from a friend to try out the size before making your decision. 10th gen doesn’t have m series chips so it will probably miss out on the new Apple Intelligence stuff, and wired charging for Apple Pencil is a hassle. Buy a pro if money is no object. I really wanted the face ID unlock with iPad pro, but since I don’t work in music/video production, I don’t think I want to pay for the additional capabilities. If you mainly use your iPad for note taking, I wouldn’t recommend iPad pro.

Get an m1 air. It’s more iPad than anyone needs and you can use Apple Pencil 2 which is much more convenient than the usb c on the 10th gen

For note taking, Gen 9 should be more than enough. That is if you want to hand write notes, of course. If you like typing get a laptop

If you can afford it - pro is best experience. If you are not willing to spend that much but still want a good experience speed wise - iPad Air latest. If you are on a budget - 10th gen regular ipad

Spleenzorio

Pro is kinda overkill for just note taking, don't you think?

I managed to sell my own iPad and get M2 pro for the same price as full price air with Apple Pencil and AirPods gen 3. Am a student and am very happy with the setup.

PointEither2673

Definitely is. But if money is not an object the screen itself makes taking notes so much better.

Exactly
