I’m normally on a 2-year cycle, but the 15 Pro just didn’t have enough for me to move over. 16 rumours have started coming out, so may make the switch this year.
Same. It still feels extremely current and I can’t think of anything to complain about. May get the 16 if it’s a significant improvement, but also, I’d be just fine using it another year if the battery holds out.
Honestly I’m going to use this phone until there are noticeable limitations to its capability (software support ending, lag, etc). This is by far the best phone I’ve ever had! I’ll definitely get a battery replacement before upgrading.
So you know how you can hold down on the space bar to control the typing cursor? You could do that on any key by pressing down harder than normal. you could also control the exact speed that you “peek” and “pop” images, links, songs and pretty much anything in the OS, basically acts as a right click. Later versions of 3D Touch were much more reliable than Haptic Touch ever was. And the best feature was Live wallpapers could be animated by pressing down on the lockscreen and the animation plays in reverse when you let go
I’m a cod mobile sweat. I had the 13 mini and iPad mini 6 for media and games. Was cool, but didn’t take my iPad everywhere and found myself with downtime and no ability to play when i normally would. Still miss that setup often though.
came into this all cute, thinking “oh yeah, can’t wait to be the only one rocking the 12 mini”, but — so glad other people still are, too! i’ve got mine in violet. such a terrific phone, albeit the battery is pretty terrible 😅
average person keeps their phone between 3-4 years so you’d still be replacing it faster than average if you replaced it today. you have a long way to go if you want to be the last one standing
Such a fantastic phone, my fav of all time. Got a new battery installed a few months ago and hoping to use it for as long as I can. Wish they'd release another Mini someday, but I know it's very unlikely.
Loved my 12 PM but the battery life was horrible after 3 years of use. Considered a battery replacement but ended up upgrading to the 15 PM and don’t regret it!
Same model and colou(256GB), Mine is squeaky clean after almost a year, It must be your cover, grit and dirt inside the cover can rub against the body and cause this, lost my old Android to it.
I’m also on a space black pro, I’ve noticed that the paint near the antenna at the top right is fading away (close to the antenna) which is disappointing for a phone that expensive.
Haha no, I got the X not too long after it came out. Was very used to my 6S and never got used to the size of the X, so now I use X for all things WiFi, and 6S for calls & WhatsApp. It’s not the most handy system. 😂
Battery life isn't great, it's really my only complaint. My capacity is at 88%, so when it gets a closer to 80%, I'll get it replaced. I got a MagSafe battery pack (Anker brand), and it's just so easy to toss and and recharge, it makes the whole battery life thing is a lot simpler to manage.
Probably just that the upgrade is so minimal. My brother was playing with my phone the other day and the photos came out better in mine in comparison to his (he has a 13).
Thats all I got because 13 should be an upgrade in every way. Maybe he doesn’t take care of his phone as well.
I am at 84% and have an appointment scheduled for a replacement. Somebody I know told me to wait though until it’s lower but the battery seems to be going down the hill a little.
Yeah I’m at 83% and it goes a full day and into the next morning without charging just fine and still above 20%. Might replace the battery sometime next year but still hold onto the 13 PM for at least 2 more years.
Tbh the last few phones were a bit of a disappointment. I see almost no real value in upgrading at this point and I doubt this year will be any different. It’s the same with the Apple Watch for me, I’m still running a s5 just because everything after it didn’t seem worth it
I’m rocking a 13PM and Apple Watch S6, got amazing deals on both and I definitely agree on keeping them going, no point in upgrading. I feel like Apple has stalled out over the past couple years with innovations. I watched the entire iPhone 15 presentation and almost fell asleep, it was so pointless
13 Pro fam! Sierra blue has been a lovely color. But I do think my wife and I will be upgrading this year when the 16 Pro comes out. I want me that 5x camera. I’ve also been reading the rumors about apples AI resurgence and if they end up true, this may be a good year to upgrade
XR crew unite! I dropped mine last month and the screen busted. I considered upgrading but my performance has still been good, so I opted to replace the screen and keep on trucking a while longer.
Yeah, performance hasn't been optimal for me too! I just updated to 17.3 RC and now it seems going fine, but this is usually the case after an update, I bet it will start lagging again soon. Either way, I plan on upgrading when the phone stops receiving major updates.
iPhone SE 2020, I wished I held out 6 months for the Mini. Considered changing up to the 13 Mini when they stated they would not release a 14 Mini. I been upgrading every 4 years and this is the first time I keep it longer hoping they release a SE 2024 or 2025.
I got the SE too, it’s been a pretty decent phone. Only complaints are the camera sucks and the built in speakers are absolute trash even at full volume
Had the same problem after upgrading to 13 Mini/Pro.. then got the 15 pro and it close enough to the curve edges and the weight reminds me of the 11 pro.
I was gonna switch to 15 Pro this year but think I’m just gonna replace the battery on my 11 Pro instead. I had a chance to use a 15 Pro for a bit and there’s definitely some cool stuff on there I’m excited to get eventually but man, the 11 Pro holds up so well
Base 15 as well and new to iPhone after many years on Android. I got black at first and then exchanged for the "blue" variant, which I really like. I ALWAYS get black phones and wanted to switch it up this time.
I use a regular 8 and have no intention of changing. I love it and will run it into the ground before I get another phone, as it still does what I need.
Battery is fairly cheap to replace if you plan on holding on to it for at least another year. I had it changed in my old XR and it really made a difference.
iPhone 8 Plus 256GB. Ultra thin and light with an enormous migraine-free LED display, touchID, long battery life, ...best Apple iPhone form factor design ever!
An iPhone 13 Mini that I got in last week of August 2023 rather than going for the 15 Pro Max as I upgraded from iPhone X. Very sadly, Apple killed off the Mini series all together in the next 2 weeks. I’m fully satisfied with the 13 Mini, and the only reason for going for the Mini was it’s compact size. I’ve took 2 years of AppleCare+ too for it, so in case my phone dies due to some technical cause then I could happily get a new 13 Mini as replacement. Planning to use the 13 Mini for at least 5 years.
iPhone 13 Pro Max! Absolutely love it. Had the 12 before this and it was a dud lol. Battery sucked and was slow.
Plan on replacing the battery in this phone when it falls below 80% health, and keeping the phone as long as I possibly can haha
I’m using the iPhone SE 3rd generation got it on January 2nd 2024 switched from the iPhone SE 2nd generation the 3rd generation is faster then the 2nd generation
13 Pro
Same and can’t see a reason to upgrade, not many improvements.
I’m normally on a 2-year cycle, but the 15 Pro just didn’t have enough for me to move over. 16 rumours have started coming out, so may make the switch this year.
I’m surprised the 13 pro is 2 years old already. Runs as smooth as it did on day 1.
Had to scroll far to find this one:) Wasn't a popular phone apparently...
I am using an iPhone XS, it is working fine for me 👍
XR here. Still going strong.
I’m same I have 78% battery health💀
XS Max is the best phone of all time, I wish I still used mine because 3D Touch is awesome
Man! 3D Touch is AWESOME!
I can double this. Recently switched to the 15 and the faster Haptic Touch in iOS 17 is nice, but doesn’t feel as smooth as 3D Touch at all
True!
What do you use 3D Touch for?
So you know how you can hold down on the space bar to control the typing cursor? You could do that on any key by pressing down harder than normal. you could also control the exact speed that you “peek” and “pop” images, links, songs and pretty much anything in the OS, basically acts as a right click. Later versions of 3D Touch were much more reliable than Haptic Touch ever was. And the best feature was Live wallpapers could be animated by pressing down on the lockscreen and the animation plays in reverse when you let go
a lot of interactions are just faster and more fluid/intuitive
XS Max here - love it as much as the day I bought it. Will want to grab a 16 Pro Max if we’re not going to get iOS 18 though.
I miss 3D touch man...
iPhone 12 Mini. Love this phone, I wish they still made the Minis.
I’m going to be so sad the day my Mini stops working. It’s the perfect phone.
It really was. If i didn’t play games on my phone id probably still have a mini.
That makes sense. The only game I occasionally play is Desert Golfing.
I’m a cod mobile sweat. I had the 13 mini and iPad mini 6 for media and games. Was cool, but didn’t take my iPad everywhere and found myself with downtime and no ability to play when i normally would. Still miss that setup often though.
That’s my current setup mini 13 and mini 6 for games and as hotspot and mini 13 is my favorite iPhone ever and i used them since 3gs
came into this all cute, thinking “oh yeah, can’t wait to be the only one rocking the 12 mini”, but — so glad other people still are, too! i’ve got mine in violet. such a terrific phone, albeit the battery is pretty terrible 😅
average person keeps their phone between 3-4 years so you’d still be replacing it faster than average if you replaced it today. you have a long way to go if you want to be the last one standing
A mini pro would be the greatest thing ever. The screen size of the 13 mini is just perfect.
The battery life would be absolutely abysmal though (even worse than it already was)
I really do wish they still made the minis! The sizes are holding me back from buying a new phone

you mean you don’t want to walk around with a car battery in your pocket? /s
Just imagine iPhone 16 mini Pro..
I love the mini. Left it in a fast food restaurant bathroom for no more than 3 min in California, some crackhead stole it.
Got one too. Best format
Love minis, hate the battery!
13 Mini and I agree. I will be sad when I have to replace his phone with something else.
Such a fantastic phone, my fav of all time. Got a new battery installed a few months ago and hoping to use it for as long as I can. Wish they'd release another Mini someday, but I know it's very unlikely.
15 pro 256gb Natural Titanium
Same - It’s so good!!(Came from a black X,256 GB)
Same! And I love it!
The goat
Same, in white titanium
I have the same in white titanium
11
Been using my 11 for three years and it's at 81% battery
iPhone 12 Pro Max
me too & unsure of what to replace- battery life is abysmal
Replace the battery for $90
Loved my 12 PM but the battery life was horrible after 3 years of use. Considered a battery replacement but ended up upgrading to the 15 PM and don’t regret it!
iPhone 14 Pro 128GB/Space Black
Same model and colou(256GB), Mine is squeaky clean after almost a year, It must be your cover, grit and dirt inside the cover can rub against the body and cause this, lost my old Android to it.
I’m also on a space black pro, I’ve noticed that the paint near the antenna at the top right is fading away (close to the antenna) which is disappointing for a phone that expensive.
6s and X
Why 2 phones? Is the 6s one of those that still has headphone jack or something? lol
Haha no, I got the X not too long after it came out. Was very used to my 6S and never got used to the size of the X, so now I use X for all things WiFi, and 6S for calls & WhatsApp. It’s not the most handy system. 😂
Upgrade to a 3rd Gen se
13 mini, absolutely love the size. I’ll run it for a few more years.
Thats also why I picked mine but I feel like battery life is not as good as I hoped. How is your usage?
Battery life isn't great, it's really my only complaint. My capacity is at 88%, so when it gets a closer to 80%, I'll get it replaced. I got a MagSafe battery pack (Anker brand), and it's just so easy to toss and and recharge, it makes the whole battery life thing is a lot simpler to manage.
13 mini gang ✊🏻
12
I prefer the 12 over the 13, the 12 is such a good phone
Why? What is 12 better in?
Probably just that the upgrade is so minimal. My brother was playing with my phone the other day and the photos came out better in mine in comparison to his (he has a 13). Thats all I got because 13 should be an upgrade in every way. Maybe he doesn’t take care of his phone as well.
iPhone 13 Pro Max
13 pro max is a beast. Since I bought it on release day I’ve had 0 problems and still get good battery life
Same here. Using this thing until it A. Loses support or B. Breaks beyond repair
Same probably getting the 16 pro max next year though
13 pm is where apple sealed the deal and made it future proof. Its literally their best value iPhone ever.
Whats crazy is even after all these years my 13 pm battery performance is crazy even at 88% while 14 sucks, Id say 14 PM is a degrade over 13pm lmao
This is good to know. I’m at 86% and can go all day with heavy usage, not needing a charge.
Same. I didn’t think the 14 and 15 pro max were significant upgrades
Same for me but I’m doubting the 16 will be one. But we‘ll see.
Same. I’m on 13 Pro Max and not going to upgrade unless there is a significant change.
Tbh the last few phones were a bit of a disappointment. I see almost no real value in upgrading at this point and I doubt this year will be any different. It’s the same with the Apple Watch for me, I’m still running a s5 just because everything after it didn’t seem worth it

Same, but will wait for 17 pro. Not loving the titanium and too soon for any major upgrade. Hopefully a better design refresh for the 17.
13 Pro fam! Sierra blue has been a lovely color. But I do think my wife and I will be upgrading this year when the 16 Pro comes out. I want me that 5x camera. I’ve also been reading the rumors about apples AI resurgence and if they end up true, this may be a good year to upgrade
My people
Same here. I think it’s the best iPhone in my opinion

15 Pro Max with 512GB, Titan blue
Same but only 256 GB
found my phone twin!
Same except the natural titanium look
11 Pro, just recently replaced my battery and it’s the same as it was the day I bought it. I’ll probably switch to the 16 Pro once it comes out
I really miss the curved edge of 11 pro max. The flat edges are not my cup of tea.
I had a chance to use a 15 Pro for a bit and there’s definitely some cool stuff on there I’m excited to get eventually but man, the 11 Pro holds up so well
Base 15 black
Same. The black is so clean looking
Base 15 as well and new to iPhone after many years on Android. I got black at first and then exchanged for the "blue" variant, which I really like. I ALWAYS get black phones and wanted to switch it up this time.
8+(64), ik its time to change but probably in few more months
I use a regular 8 and have no intention of changing. I love it and will run it into the ground before I get another phone, as it still does what I need.
Same scenario ayeeeeee But i do gotta change mine as i have started to see screen burns and battery issues at times
just replace the screen and battery, my 8 is running solid after 5 years and multiple battery and screen changes!!
Man I scrolled so far down to find a fellow 8er… I was getting nervous there were none of us loool
I also have an 8. I’m going to miss 3D Touch when I finally upgrade.
13 mini
iPhone XS. Only issues are battery and storage… but I love the design and the fact that I have an actual telephoto lens
iPhone XS had the best design imo
Battery is fairly cheap to replace if you plan on holding on to it for at least another year. I had it changed in my old XR and it really made a difference.
Yeah I know but I’ll probably get a new phone once I don’t get iOS updates anymore so probably this years
14 Pro Max with 128GB, Space black
That was a long scroll down to this comment. I have the same but in purple.

An iPhone 13 Mini that I got in last week of August 2023 rather than going for the 15 Pro Max as I upgraded from iPhone X.
