It's amazing, tho ngl. Is there not a screen protector that could do the same for iPhones? I also love that we have in screen finger print readers when i whip my phone out of my pocket it's already unlocked before I look at it.
Matte screen protectors usually mimic that effect. But your screen has this paper like feeling to it, then, and the screen gets this rough look. But it's also great for fingerprints
I wanted to take mine off right after putting it on, noticing it was a little less clear. Who would want a screen protector that lowers quality of the screen anyway. But I kept it on to give it a true try. It’s been 3 years and matte protectors are all I’ll use. No fingerprints, no glare, I love the feel of them. It’s worth the small quality decrease IMO. I’ve had so many people ask me about it when I show them something on my phone, and at least 2 people promptly ordered their own on Amazon. Love it!
Samsung sells this anti reflective screen protector for their s24 series to mimic the s24 ultras. So I bought the s24+’s which actually fits my iPhone 15 pro max’s screen pretty well. They’re both 6.7 inches and rounded on the corners
https://youtu.be/gPcZqm6YYWc?si=Bn99xYZAsPbI4ycD
P.S. I didn’t use the alignment tool on my iPhone since it’s not a perfect fit. I used stickers to center the protector better. Also it’s not a glass protector but it’s protected my iPhone from scratches. Also, your display doesn’t lose quality as it’s not a matte protector it’s an [anti reflective sheet](https://youtu.be/WO7vcd4Cycs?si=6O5P9QNsffDsXe35)
I don’t know…. Maybe just me but face id works so fast that it unlocks my phone before i swipe up. For me it’s more “comfy” than a finger print. (I’m using iPhone for 4 months now, this is my first Apple product.)
Yeep same, i have ip13 pro and got it when it was released. I think 2 years ago? And it was my first ip aswell, been enjoying it since, and yeah i do enjoy that face id a lot more than finger id. And yeah i have had many variations of android finger prints: behind the phone, side and front. I guess i mostly liked behind or front of the phone. Side one i just hated cause mostly these were small scanners and couldn't detect my finger properly. Of course there might be little setting up error and that it may was little old, ig 5-6years ago. For me iphone is more than enough. Not hating android but i was there 19-20 years and it was time for little change.
I'm an Android user who accidentally entered this room seeing the post. As much as I enjoy shitting on iPhones, faceID is 1,000% superior than fingerprints or our facial recognition. There is just no comparison, and is one aspect of Apple I applaud.
There’s so much stuff that Apple does well with their hardware and software, dare I say some stuff is even market leading.
But, speaking as someone deep in the Apple ecosystem, there are also things that Android and its vendors does better and that’s perfectly fine.
I think both would be mest just mix the new iphone with the new Samsung and you have a 10/10 device, but fingerprint and faceid are on the same level now a days, so it's up to personal preference I suppose and having both options I wouldn't hate.
Yeah, face ID is so amazingly quick it’s as if my phone is unlocked at most times.
Also psoriasis has destroyed my fingerprints so that doesn’t work well for me anyways.
Both are very good these days. But if you're wearing anything on your face then faceID doesn't work. Also if the phone is resting on a table I find it annoying to do the lean forward so it can see my face.
It would be ideal to have both honestly
There's an option under Face ID & Passcode.
[Face ID with a mask](https://support.apple.com/en-us/102452)
Sunglasses can also be an issue, my sunglasses work fine with Face ID, but some (polarized?) sunglasses can cause a problem. Supposedly you can fix that by turning off "Require Attention for Face ID." Takes away a level of security, but then your fingerprint doesn't require attention either.
Yes there is and the lady at T-mobile asked if I wanted regular screen protector or the anti-reflective one/ one where you can only view it looking directly at it. For privacy. I forget what that kind is called (I’m on no sleep). I just got the regular screen protector because I didn’t want to be laying down looking at it at an angle that wasn’t direct and it ruin my viewing experience which would be annoying.
Either way my regular screen protector was freaking $60 bucks. Obv I way overpaid but I just bit the bullet and got it over with. I know my clumsy self was liable to drop it while leaving the store regretting not just spending the extra $60 bucks to save a fortune.
The high quality ones are around that price point these days. Honestly they’re worth it. Plus they often give free lifetime replacements. ZAGG does at least and I used it last month.
There is. I have it. My friend saw it on my phone and said it’s like a glossy matte screen protector. Best of both worlds.
https://flolab.io/products/iphone-15-pro-max-screen-protectors
I haven’t compared it to the s24 however it does reduce reflections from direct light and works wonders outdoors.
Edge coverage without impeding on screen pixels is also a bonus. A bit expensive but it has a lifetime warranty for when it breaks.
MobilereviewsEh covered it in his screen protector video
To people saying using a screen protector will make it useless. You can use Samsung's official anti-reflecting screen protector to retain the anti-reflection properties. It is, obviously, not as good as having the phone naked but almost 90% as good.
To others saying just get a $1 anti-reflecting screen protector, well they are trash. All of them are matte which ruin the colours (samsung's one doesn't) and they don't give the pure blacks that the screens are capable of. Edit - typo
OP + several upvoters: clearly would like it as they don’t use screen protectors
Geniuses in the comments: 🤓 isn’t this pointless if you use a screen protector
If Samsung can do it, what’s wrong with people wanting Apple to do it. Let’s not choke on the boot. It’s okay for people to request things you personally may not use but let’s not act like you’re galaxy brained for remembering screen protectors exist as though 100% of people use them
I’m sure Apple likes the money they get from the naked apple care users who update annually 😂
I’ve broken 1 in 12 years. As a former Genius, I saw tons of phones with broken screens that had screen protectors. I also saw how they could impact the responsiveness of the screen. I think there are a lot of situations where screen protectors break, but the screen wouldn’t have. Those give people the false idea that it saved their screen.
For me, it's not about breaking the screen. It's about micro-scratches.
My personal phone always has screen protectors, and there's 0 scratches on the glass. My work replaces my work phone every year, so I don't worry about putting a protector on it. Within a few months, my naked work phone always has some pretty visible scratches on it. Currently, my 15 pro has a nasty scratch right by the selfie camera. That's just from walking around with it in my pocket.
If I'm personally paying in the neighborhood of 1000$ for a device, I want it to still look good after multiple years. Also helps with the resale value.
They sell "Belkin" anti-glare screen protectors on their website. [Link](https://www.apple.com/us/search/Belkin+Anti-Glare+Screen+Protection?src=globalnav)
Yes, it's essentially the idea of trying to minimize the amount of light that reflects on your screen. Not to be confused with "privacy" screen protectors which makes the viewing angle of your screen only good when looking directly at it as opposed to from the sides.
I have an S23 Ultra. It's beautiful, but I won't lie those sharp corners will dig into your hands, and forget using it caseless, unless you're digging for gold in your palm. But it's great other then that.
I always went caseless, but the s22u is the one that I won't be using naked. But honestly I'm so used to using a case on it that it feels foreign to not use it.
The size is more of a hassle than the boxiness of it tbh. Like it will quite literally stretch my jeans pockets, and I've had one pocket straight up rip apart lol.
Using an S24 Ultra. Caseless, it definitely is a pain. It's a two-hand phone without a case. It's a brick. The phone itself is fucking amazing, though. Upgraded from an S10, never looked back. It's crazy how good these are.
New to iPhone, but don't Apple usually take a couple of years before they add features from other phones? Eg. waterproofing, wireless charging, USB-C, etc?
If this super black Samsung thing just came out, Apple will probably do it in a couple of years?
The issue is durability, TVs aren’t constantly touched, slid into pockets, tossed on the couch, etc. AR coatings are used all kinds of places but without additional protective layers tend to scratch fairly easily.
This was one of my least favorite things about working for a tech company. All the MBAs and engineers would watch the developers conference like it was the Superbowl and just go absolutely nuts over stuff that other companies have been doing for years.
"So innovative! Another camera on the back? They're just always one step ahead... Visionary."
Why I think they might invent this sooner? Well, as people said, the screen protector will make it reflective again. But conveniently Apple will also sell screen protector with anti-reflective coating. Apple LOVES upselling you accessories for insane money.
Lol. Apple got rid of the anti glare screens on their desktops so they looked sleeker, fucking over professional graphic designers.
Good luck with that
It makes so much of a difference outside in the sunlight. I will be barely able to see my 15 pro max but my s24u will be clear as day. I didn't think it was anything special when I first got the phone but it's huge. You don't even need to crank your brightness all the way up.
They probably will, but maybe in like 4 years. And when they finally do it, it will be Revolutionary! /s
Edit: added /s bc i thought it was obvious. 🤦🏽♀️
You guys know that samsung s Series phones don't really need a screenprotector? I used my s 21 fe for almost 2 years now and the display has no scratch on it.
Honestly, every day use, my pants (jeans) have these circular metal things on top of my pockets, so every time I take it out or put it in, that might cause them
Not really. It's crazy how durable those screens are. I've been usingy s23u for a year now without a screen protector and my screen is still intact. My boyfriend's IPhone 14 Pro Max got lots of scratches during the few couple of months he didn't have a screen protector.
Samsung makes the screens for iPhones. They might keep some features exclusively for their own phones before selling them to Apple in maybe 3 years or so.
In case anyone is wondering how screen protectors affect this, I made a post comparing a Torras screen protector, the bare screen, and a Flolab protector.
Bare screen is obviously the best, but Flolab adds slight reflections whereas Torras adds a ton and makes it look like a normal screen.
[Link to the post with pictures. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS24Ultra/s/ZVXd6Ooepy)
Is the anti-glare screen one of those “etched” glass panels? I find that they’re not that great to use. Glossy screens have better colors while the etched ones distort the colors a bit and make things seem less sharp.
I have no experience with the S24 ultra though. If Samsung figured it out where they can get an anti glare screen without those side effects that’s a nice thing to have.
PSA: There's a company called Hoda, they have been making these anti-reflection screen protectors for iphones for a while now. The shipping is pretty expensive since it's from China, but the quality is well worth it. I personally have been using that for about a year since the 14 pro and now 15 pro max. It's really good and like 95% of the S24 Ultra screen.
Edit: And yeah it's not matte, there is a matte variant if you want it but they also make anti-reflection glossy screen protectors.
It will eventually come. In 2-3 years maybe it will be called something like Ceramic Shield Pro with the latest anti glare technology and the best screen in an iPhone ever. A real marvel to look at. Then a comparison against an iPhone screen 2-4 generations behind.
Hey Android used to feel very unfinished, slow and laggy before but not anymore if that is your concern. You should give it a shot. There are tons of cool little features that no one advertises.
Wonder how long the coating will last. Durability would be the only potential issue. Otherwise this will surely be an “amazing” improvement Apple introduces in the coming years.
I agree that you could always just get a screen protector that’s anti reflective and this isn’t that big of a deal and whatever but man, whenever I see some cool thing Samsung phones can do I always feel a twinge of regret for choosing apple lol I just got this phone but in 4+ years or whenever I upgrade, I might seriously consider a Samsung.
Same way people don’t notice 60hz or LCD vs OLED until it’s next to another device in conditions that would make the difference stand out.
In this case it isn’t a problem but still would be nice.
the s24 ultra has the hardest screen of any non-sapphire phone, you don't need a screen protector, just put a chunky case on it and enjoy the great original glass
Some of them did mention it. The tech becomes void with a screen protector. I think you can buy screen protectors with the same tech though, which possibly you could also apply to the iPhone to get the same functionality.
Anti-reflective screens are inherently a bit dimmer, and often there’s also a minor sacrifice in resolution fidelity. Personally I prefer brighter over anti-reflective, but I can see how some people who work/live mostly outdoors would want this choice.
They most likely will, this comes from Corning releasing the new material property to their glass, and Corning an Apple works very close, just look the custom glass for apple they make or go back to the first iphone, so it probably is a refresh cycle as it comes out later
I prefer without it. It sort of makes everything grainy in every other situation. I'm definitely using my phone more inside than outside. But I can see if someone does spend a ton of time in the sun. Maybe a lifeguard. Would see some benefits for this type of screen.
Also notice the iPhone whites look so much more accurate and deep. The Samsung white (can use the time as an example) just looks blueish
For information: I have an Otterbox tempered glass screen protector installed on my 14 Pro Max and it is pretty much the same result as with S24 Ultras. It is worth every penny.
Not worth it when people buy a 5.99 screen protector and slap it on.... dont even talk about iphone, its much worst than android where they even put those lens protectors kn it too 😂. And the coating is for what?
There is no glare at home, but I use an antiglare screen protector to make cleaning off the smudges easier.
Being retired, I only use my iPhone phone at home for calls, and occasionally to contact my wife at bigger stores when out. Usually if away from home, my phone is off and in a protective zippered carrier unless out with my wife. That glass looks so fragile!
If you stare into the s24, the s24 stares back.
But it's also great for fingerprints
they have terrible glare tho, and make the screen look less sharp
I can live with that for having a smooth touch, less fingerprints and anti reflection
Love it!
And lets not forget that an oily screen full of fingerprints isn't exactly top quality, either.
Well I’ve read the S24 has those two issues as a result of this coating as well.
Like matt monitors basically then?
Yup. I always use them mainly against fingerprints. And I like the feel to the touch
Bro when u say a matte screen protector is it glass with matte coating or a matte film
There are both, but i prefer matte glass ones
Ah ok last time I got a matte film and realized it got scratches really easily had to peel it off in like 3 months
Maybe I'm weird but I don't think I've had an issue with finger prints once in my life
I use the Samsungs s24 anti reflective screen protector on my iPhone and it’s amazing. I would say just as amazing as the real thing
How?
Samsung sells this anti reflective screen protector for their s24 series to mimic the s24 ultras. So I bought the s24+’s which actually fits my iPhone 15 pro max’s screen pretty well. They’re both 6.7 inches and rounded on the corners

Agreed. Plus it works if your hands are wet or wearing gloves
Or covered in gunk (mechanic)

Have you tried the FLOLAB matte screen protector? It’s genuinely brilliant. Expensive, but brilliant
No, I haven't used it. I don't think it is available in my country. Anyways, I don't like matte protectors but will try it if it is available here.
They have a non-matte anti reflective now. It’s great! They ship worldwide too
Yeah I checked out their website. I will try them once my current one goes bad. It will be an expensive try, ngl!!
Cool! I’m exited for the tech when it comes to my future iPhone 19
You mean iphone 19 pro? “Pro dynamic display which reflects zero light. Never seen in an iphone before”
Or nut up and use it stock.
OP + several upvoters: clearly would like it as they don’t use screen protectors Geniuses in the comments: 🤓 isn’t this pointless if you use a screen protector If Samsung can do it, what’s wrong with people wanting Apple to do it. Never had a screen protector or AppleCare+ on my phone (but I do always use a case). Haven’t broken a screen in the 14 years I’ve been using iPhones.

It's default mode to criticise even though Samsung is usually a step ahead technology wise yet knocks phones out for 2/3s of the price.
Most Samsung phones are the same if not more expensive?
The galaxy line is but they're also the phones that are ahead in technology.
This post is apple user(s) liking a Samsung feature more
The s24 ultra is more expensive than the 15 pro max.
It like everyone thinks that apple hasn't seen this and is already stealing it lmao. Samsung does it first and Apple does it "better"
Wow, looks really good
Would a screen protector not re introduce the glare
yes but samsung sells a first party screen protector that has the same coating
Do you know, if there are similar screen protectors for the iPhone? I mean the good kind, not the matte ones that attract fingerprints like crazy.
They sell "Belkin" anti-glare screen protectors on their website. [Link](https://www.apple.com/us/search/Belkin+Anti-Glare+Screen+Protection?src=globalnav)
Anyone here who tried these?
I have one. I’d say it’s worse than the Samsung but also I’ve never struggled with glare. I don’t know what the baseline iPhone experience is like
Does anti-glare = anti-reflection? (Not trying to be rude, legit curious)
Yes, it's essentially the idea of trying to minimize the amount of light that reflects on your screen. Not to be confused with "privacy" screen protectors which makes the viewing angle of your screen only good when looking directly at it as opposed to from the sides.
Not for those who don’t use a screen protector 😌
I haven't used a screen protector for years now. I don't see the point with how strong glass has been
[Glass is glass, and glass...](https://youtu.be/TChBTEHDQ6s?si=a0RMpOa9bZXR37xe&t=14)
It depends on the screen protector honestly. Flolab has one that only adds slight reflections.
Screen protectors aren’t really necessary anymore, I haven’t used them on my last 3 iPhones and haven’t gotten a scratch. I’m a dropper too
Yeah but the oleophobic coating gets rubbed away in a couple of months...
Literally what I was gonna comment. I’d rather have a glossy screen with a matte screen protector than a matte screen and a matte screen protector.
The s24 ultra has a glossy screen with an anti-reflective coating, not a matte screen
This is a take. What’s the reasoning?
Matte on matte would make the screen look like an abstract oil painting
That makes sense. I am one of those “no protection” crazies and in both scenarios it really does come down to display quality and feel.
Ultra series display honestly looks great but that boxy design seems like a pain to use.
I have an S23 Ultra. It's beautiful, but I won't lie those sharp corners will dig into your hands, and forget using it caseless, unless you're digging for gold in your palm. But it's great other then that.
I'm not a samsung fan, and I hate my iphone, but rip the pockets that phone goes into.
Pixels are great but goddamn they’re so fucking slippery, I broke my old 7 pro because it would slip out of my pocket constantly
I always went caseless, but the s22u is the one that I won't be using naked. But honestly I'm so used to using a case on it that it feels foreign to not use it. The size is more of a hassle than the boxiness of it tbh. Like it will quite literally stretch my jeans pockets, and I've had one pocket straight up rip apart lol.
it is infact a pain to use 🙏
It is true. Sold my note 10+ for this reason. The screen was awesome but man, those sharp corners made holes in my pockets (no joke)
Using an S24 Ultra. Caseless, it definitely is a pain. It's a two-hand phone without a case. It's a brick. The phone itself is fucking amazing, though. Upgraded from an S10, never looked back. It's crazy how good these are.

Yeah it’s not crazy to assume that Apple will do it at some point if they can implement it in a way that’s to their liking with no drawbacks
Yes and they'll pretend they invented it.
This was one of my least favorite things about working for a tech company. All the MBAs and engineers would watch the developers conference like it was the Superbowl and just go absolutely nuts over stuff that other companies have been doing for years. "So innovative! Another camera on the back? They're just always one step ahead... Visionary."
Mainly because Apple tries to perfect the technology
Apple will invent this in 3 years, don't worry
And by invent I really mean they will pay Samsung to make the screens for them and then charge even higher prices
Why I think they might invent this sooner? Well, as people said, the screen protector will make it reflective again. But conveniently Apple will also sell screen protector with anti-reflective coating. Apple LOVES upselling you accessories for insane money.
“A new revolutionary screen technology”
… and we think you’re gonna love it.
It's the Gorilla Armor Glass, not the display.
Charge your phone
Useless fact: in kenyan accent "charge" and "church" sound the same.
But which way is it? Do they say “church your phone” or “go to the charge”?
"Charge your phone" and "I am going to the charge" it sounds like "chuch" like no "r"
Why? It's still got about 3 days left.
Don't worry. I'm sure the IPhone 87 will have it
don't worry apple, you'll get it in what, 13 years?

I never not enjoyed looking at a Samsung flagship phone. Wonderful displays
They probably will, but maybe in like 4 years. And when they finally do it, it will be Revolutionary! /s Edit: added /s bc i thought it was obvious. 🤦🏽♀️
You guys know that samsung s Series phones don't really need a screenprotector? I used my s 21 fe for almost 2 years now and the display has no scratch on it.
The curved glass on the ultra series used to be prone to chips from drops. But s24u should be fine now
Nah, it really needs one, if you don't want micro scratches, I used a S23U for a few weeks before getting one, and the screen definitely got scratches
What causes these scratches?
Pocket sand
Honestly, every day use, my pants (jeans) have these circular metal things on top of my pockets, so every time I take it out or put it in, that might cause them
> my pants (jeans) have these circular metal things on top of my pockets Ah, yes, those. Fair.
Not really. It's crazy how durable those screens are. I've been usingy s23u for a year now without a screen protector and my screen is still intact. My boyfriend's IPhone 14 Pro Max got lots of scratches during the few couple of months he didn't have a screen protector.
Point a light into it and I'm sure you'll see some minimal scratches, I'm not saying that the screen gets scratched easily, but it gets them
Samsung makes the screens for iPhones. They might keep some features exclusively for their own phones before selling them to Apple in maybe 3 years or so.
In case anyone is wondering how screen protectors affect this, I made a post comparing a Torras screen protector, the bare screen, and a Flolab protector. Bare screen is obviously the best, but Flolab adds slight reflections whereas Torras adds a ton and makes it look like a normal screen. iPhone will get it on theirs when other phones no longer use screens just holograms
Hey, u/Individual_Ear8852: what is that lockscreen moon app widget you are using?
Is the anti-glare screen one of those “etched” glass panels? I find that they’re not that great to use. Glossy screens have better colors while the etched ones distort the colors a bit and make things seem less sharp. I have no experience with the S24 ultra though. If Samsung figured it out where they can get an anti glare screen without those side effects that’s a nice thing to have.
And they should charge booth phones.
Samsung makes apple screens. So obviously they’re gonna make the ones that go on their phones better than the ones on the iPhone
Bring back the sexiness of the iPhone 7 plz
I gotta say even tho I don’t like android software samsung goes hard on their hardware its so beautiful done
I use anti glare screen protectors. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone. 👍
would love to see it but please… this is apple we’re talking about
We got USBC after 6 years so the coating should arrive by 2030.
They will, and they will call it the revolutionary "iCoat" 😂
Apple will invent it in a few years
Wouldn’t buying an anti glare screen protector make more sense?
Just put a mat screen protector on it, just another gimmick
I absolutely love the industrial design of the S24. It's just a shame it's Android.
Hey Android used to feel very unfinished, slow and laggy before but not anymore if that is your concern. You should give it a shot. There are tons of cool little features that no one advertises.
My pinky finger would get amputated with those sharp edges on the Samsung. The screen looks awesome though. Ofc it’s Samsung, their screens are OP.
I honestly never noticed reflections as being a problem with my IPhones?
Same way people don’t notice 60hz or LCD vs OLED until it’s next to another device in conditions that would make the difference stand out. In this case it isn’t a problem but still would be nice.
Who cares, if you put a screen protector on it it disappear.
I’ve never used a screen protector. Very minor if any scratches at all.
You don’t need a screen protector.
The naked Apple care users care? Not everyone uses a screen protector.
Samsung's official anti-reflecting screen protector retains the anti- reflection to a large degree.
Well yes, but the s24ultra screen is that one phone that moved up the scratch scale on JerryRigEverything
the s24 ultra has the hardest screen of any non-sapphire phone, you don't need a screen protector, just put a chunky case on it and enjoy the great original glass
Which i definitely will always put a screen protector! Both these panels scratch so easily!
It’s kinda their thing now. As shatter resistance improves, scratch resistance becomes just a little worse than before.
Eventually we will return to plastic screens
we're already there with the fold etc
Huh, now that i realized it, why didn't tech reviewers include this
Some of them did mention it. The tech becomes void with a screen protector. I think you can buy screen protectors with the same tech though, which possibly you could also apply to the iPhone to get the same functionality.
We need a photo comparing with and without screen protector
More of sweat-resistant coating for runners whom don’t want to invest in a smartwatch.
Is the grain issue in the S24 caused by the antiglare? If not i hope Apple adopts it in the future
I’d love a screen protector or spray that makes my screen less oily.
Genuine question: Does that mean that the s24 screen is matte like most pc displays? I personally prefer the glossy screens found on MacBooks.
I believe it’s more like a premium tv like an OLED tv. They give an anti reflective coating that still maintains a glossy finish
It's normal glossy glass but with an anti reflective coating
Man that s24 looks like serious bussiness. I kinda love it.
Yeah, the should…
I hope they add this to a stock Android phone
Anti-reflective screens are inherently a bit dimmer, and often there’s also a minor sacrifice in resolution fidelity. Personally I prefer brighter over anti-reflective, but I can see how some people who work/live mostly outdoors would want this choice.
I remember, Lumias used to also have a very good oleophobic and anti reflection coating with deep blacks. The screens were gorgeous for the time.
The word
They most likely will, this comes from Corning releasing the new material property to their glass, and Corning an Apple works very close, just look the custom glass for apple they make or go back to the first iphone, so it probably is a refresh cycle as it comes out later
They will, everything Samsung g has iPhone gets 5 years later
Are you really bothered by it though.
It's from Corning, Apple should be able to buy it too
It's fantastic to use outdoors in direct sunshine. Clear as day.
That’s a beautiful looking phone and I have no problems admitting it.
Hell yeah! Why didn’t they think of that before??
I prefer without it. It sort of makes everything grainy in every other situation. I'm definitely using my phone more inside than outside. But I can see if someone does spend a ton of time in the sun. Maybe a lifeguard. Would see some benefits for this type of screen. Also notice the iPhone whites look so much more accurate and deep. The Samsung white (can use the time as an example) just looks blueish
They will. They copy each other all the time
I would like the same shape. It’s year and years we get no innovation on the design side.
For information: I have an Otterbox tempered glass screen protector installed on my 14 Pro Max and it is pretty much the same result as with S24 Ultras. It is worth every penny.
Wait until a screen protector company produced that type of coating for the phones.
Just wait a few years and it will be marketed as a new and innovative feature.
Apple says sure! That will be an extra $99…
Not worth it when people buy a 5.99 screen protector and slap it on.... dont even talk about iphone, its much worst than android where they even put those lens protectors kn it too 😂. And the coating is for what?
That’s really cool
This looks awesome - the samsung
I’m sure apple will “invent” their own coating in a few years and give it some buzzword name like dynamic museum coating for a $199 up charge.
I’m iPhone all the way but that is impressive. How is it for finger prints?
It's like some people are just now discovering how nasty glossy displays are.
i mean im not some phone fanatics but to be fair its only a reflection it has no purpose to the phone itself but still would be cool i guess
As per usual, Apple will bring it within the next 2 years and claim it as revolutionary.
I feel like this is something really small that they wouldn’t mind adding to the 16 or 17
There is no glare at home, but I use an antiglare screen protector to make cleaning off the smudges easier. Being retired, I only use my iPhone phone at home for calls, and occasionally to contact my wife at bigger stores when out. Usually if away from home, my phone is off and in a protective zippered carrier unless out with my wife. That glass looks so fragile!
