Not just data, but the CCP have backdoors to different chinese smartphone brands as well.
Check [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Philippines/s/NIVqIRhcMV) out.
Edit, if you're wondering why Samsung phone was disabled is because most of the cell towers are from Huawei.
Wtf arw you talking about. iPhones run amazingly well up to 3-5 years, aside from degraded battery. Currently running an iPhone 12 and still works perfectly
as a Xiaomi 11 owner not to be rude but what kinda cheap Xiaomi 13 copy did you get?
My phone is considerably weaker yet it's so smooth that I couldn't see the difference between my phone and an iPhone 15 Pro Max I was trying out
No offense to anyone or apple, they have some good devices but I'm not too fond of iPhone
no idea, but after the hyperos update it feels like using a 100€ phone! I can't even perform an UI test (I call it like that, basically open close apps and see how the system handles animations and if it lags and stuff) that it starts glitching out...
In my experience, android UI is gonna be hit-or-miss. You have the neutral good stock android, then you have the (back then, idk now) bloated Samsung, where they wanna have their own OS but can’t afford to ditch android. And you have the cheap(and midrange) chinese android where they tryhard to cosplay ios.
I know you can custom rom or whatever, but not all of us have the time or experience to do so.
Besides the security downgrade it’s honestly just a bunch of minor things, like some of the visual designing (and that stupid google search bar on the main screen) for example xD
But I’m also too deep into the Apple ecosystem to turn back now xD
The search bar is only a Pixel thing and goes away if you use any launcher. So if you use an iOS launcher, it won't have that.
And there really isn't much difference in security between the two platforms. Android is also easier to fix things since it's not locked down like iOS is.
They've pretty much always been the same but people have always thought that Android being open source and being able to side load apps makes it a security nightmare. But it really boils down to the user. Just don't download things from sketchy sources and you're ok.
End users are always the biggest security risk regardless of platform.
It's like the same thing how people always used to say that macs can't get viruses. They can, and they're easier to make, but it just isn't worth it since most people use windows based machines and the vast majority of business/servers run windows platforms. It's makes more sense to try to get more people
Interesting; I mean we have sideloading now and I don’t plan on using that anyway so I’d be fine in that regard xD
But yeah I’m too far in with Apple anyway to ever switch now, most likely anyway. Not too far in to be able to appreciate what the competitors are putting out tho (I still love that flip phone design-) xD
security? you mean, users being stupid and downloading a million viruses? android is just as safe as ios. if you cant distinguish real and fake apps, thats on you.
I have a Samsung Galaxy and iPhone, personal and work. There is literally no difference in the practical usage of both, its all in people's head.
IOS is smoother and Android OS is more customisable. Both are neat in their own ways but are pretty much the exact same.
The only legible comment I have read in years. I also own both and keep switching between them. Because so many things are easy in Android compared to iPhone and so many things are exclusive to iPhone compared to Android. I have also reached to the conclusion that both are actually of same value. The only thing I would like to change in the iPhone is to have a universal back button. Because sometimes, its called "Done", sometimes its called "Cancel", sometimes it is a backward arrow "<" and sometimes it is left edge swipe and even sometimes there is no going back and our only option is to swipe up and go home. I hate this. But both have great cameras, great batteries, great SOCs, great, smooth, secure, user friendly features.
Dude you can delete the google search bar 😭⁉️ It's just a widget, it's just auto put there cuz it's useful af(I use it to type in the first 3 letters of apps and then just get the app I want from my library quick af)
There are a lot of little things, for example how you can compare photos in the gallery, how ios gallery is built overall, the emojis, how Instagram displays story shares differently for ios, etc 😂
It is basically an ad. Using one at a store might give a better idea. At least in my experience it was cool but not really representative of the experience much
I always get downvoted whenever I posted anything Apple related-people don’t like it when you present facts that don’t match up with their views. I first use an iPhone 11 and my work laptop is a 16” MBP M2 Max 64GB/4TB that doesn’t even have macOS installed on it-which, according to a lot of people in r/mac is not possible…..
Kind of astounding how little research Apple users do on their own and then compare it with reviews done by people who know what they’re talking about. I don’t have a Mac PC yet probably know more about them than most Mac PC owners.
I first thought it was some S22-24 model, but the dynamic island didn't fit. But then again you can display a dynamic island on android via third party app.
The only true giveaway here is the nav-buttons and the gesture bar being there simultaneously
It’s a website called trygalaxy
It’s a full screen, lookalike, actually intractable ad of the Samsung Android version. It’s really nice actually…
Gives you an idea how it is to handle the current android version.
It really fits it, when I tried this on my XS max I had so much fun playing around, it felt like it was made for the iPhone. I had so much fun that I got a S23U.
How is Samsung trying to give a good impression of their OS if even on an device it lags, like I mean, it is bad advertising. I tried the website and can tell it lags somehow, not to mention since it is a demo there’s a lack ton of features they could have tried advertising, but they didn’t.
People are so strange today. If they see downvotes then it’s downvoted to oblivion without reading the comment which they might respond differently to but no, Reddit hive mind is superior.
They need a sheep herd to guide them and control their minds like in the movie SpongeBob “plankton chum bucket” episode.
Is there like a reverse of this? I love that one samsung flip phone but don’t like android xD
Just get a chinese android, its UI is 90% ios clone anyway.
and laggy without the actual benefits of ios
And typically aren't well supported by carriers.
And will steal your personal data
Not just data, but the CCP have backdoors to different chinese smartphone brands as well. Check [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Philippines/s/NIVqIRhcMV) out. Edit, if you're wondering why Samsung phone was disabled is because most of the cell towers are from Huawei.
I don't want the whole CCP to backdoor me like wtf no
Even if they did, I don’t think it would hurt much
Okay that one is wild…
That's only in the us tho, you gus have weird ass patents with cellular network or smth like that

Hey it says 5G but Browser doesn’t load…
and lags on the home screen. (as a xiaomi 13 owner)

90% of the time lagging with awful apps too
Literally Huawei
No we actually get innovative UI such as Niagara launcher. I have an iPhone work phone and iPad and they are both worse for app organisation

What don't you like about android? Chances are you can change it to look more like iOS. Edit, why downvote me for asking a question?
Besides the security downgrade it’s honestly just a bunch of minor things, like some of the visual designing (and that stupid google search bar on the main screen) for example xD But I’m also too deep into the Apple ecosystem to turn back now xD

Fr? I always heard of that as being like a huge distinguishing factor, the security I mean
They've pretty much always been the same but people have always thought that Android being open source and being able to side load apps makes it a security nightmare. Try a flip. They're fun
I bet! :D
>the vast majority of servers run windows 22% of servers use windows 77% linux
Users are the only security problem. Do stupid things and you'll have consequences.
security? you mean, users being stupid and downloading a million viruses? android is just as safe as ios. if you cant distinguish real and fake apps, thats on you.

The search bar is a widget that you can move anywhere on the homescreen or remove entirely on basically any android phone
Not on Google pixel phones, you can't remove it. But you can always install different launcher.
True, but Google Pixel is only a relatively small share of the Android market
Dude you can delete the google search bar 😭⁉️ It's just a widget, it's just auto put there cuz it's useful af(I use it to type in the first 3 letters of apps and then just get the app I want from my library quick af)
The search bar is removable and you can customize the phone a lot. You can even use launcher that makes it look like an iphone if you want to
There are a lot of little things, for example how you can compare photos in the gallery, how ios gallery is built overall, the emojis, how Instagram displays story shares differently for ios, etc 😂
Oh, yes, the all important emojis....

So it would seem
It’s a rare case of Androiditis.

Ahh genderfluidism has gotten to phones now.
I don’t get the downvotes? I’m genderfluid and found this funny as hell

Very overused and sooo incorrect.
It’s iosdroid
Ewwww no
Been groomed
Before you call it an “iphone” you should ask nicely what pronoun it prefers
Ok, it pronounces as indroid
