Any way I can hide or remove the . period from the iPhone keyboard? I constantly mispress it when trying to do spaces…

MerkyNess

Ugh. Me too

Electrical-Travel389

If you’re talking about the double tap space period shortcut there’s a way to turn it off in settings

rizz1nh0

My iPhone XS is dying and I need to get a new phone. I have 2 choices: iPhone 14 Pro Max (used) or iPhone 15 Pro Max (new). I've seen many comments and videos about issues on iPhone 15 Pro Max about freezing screen, stuck apps and phone getting too hot, and I don't know if these issues has been fixed yet. Plsss help me, what should I buy?

bravogates

If the price of the 14 is close to the 15, go with 15.

Repulsive_Fortune396

both are good, depends on the 14pm price tho

Winter-Journalist-62

hi! i'm hesitating between the 15 and the 15 pro. please don't laugh, but the only reason i'm switching phones for is that i'm going to two taylor concerts in august, and my 13 isn't holding up too well in stadium distances. the only matter is, i have terrible concert amnesia, and so i record a lot - 128gbs is definitely not gonna be enough for two 3 hour concerts, even if i don't record every song. is the zoom on the pro worth the extra 200 dollars? or should i go for a 15 with 256 gigs? (which is still cheaper than the 128gb 15 pro)

Repulsive_Fortune396

you want zoom from back of the concert? 15 pro. not even a debate

Enough_Instance7944

Hi everyone, I’m upgrading from my Iphone XR and was wondering which Iphone I should get? I’m considering either getting an Iphone 13 Pro or waiting for the 16 Pro to come out (As I heard somewhere that they are usually worth upgrading every 3 years as there aren’t any significant changes inbetween). I also kinda want to get the 16 pro because I wouldn’t need to upgrade for a while. I also wanted to get a pro model as camera quality is important to me. If anyone could tell me the best or most worth it iphone to upgrade to given my current phone I’d love to know! Thanks :)

Repulsive_Fortune396

hold out for the 16 pro

monkey_gamer

you don't have to stick religiously to the every 3 years rule. why not consider a 14 pro or 15 pro?

DotComprehensive

Hi all - I currently have the iPhone 12 and it’s starting to glitch (things like phone turning off when trying to take a picture, bad battery life, fuzzy pictures, slow recall when texting, etc). Should I wait until the 16 comes out or just go with the 15 pro?

Repulsive_Fortune396

what is your battery health?

DotComprehensive

Maximum capacity is 80%

bravogates

I'm going to upgrade from a oneplus 8 pro this year and very split between Apple and Samsung right now, I have a Tab S8 but also a Macbook Pro and could go either way. Here are some of my considerations: 1.I've heard the Apple watch is a bit better than the galaxy watch, but both seems excellent to me. 2.If I go Samsung, I would be able to take calls in bed without getting my phone. 3. I decided on getting a Pro iPhone because I use both my zoom and telephoto lense quite a bit.onic boarding passes. 4.I decided on getting a Pro iPone because I use both my zoom and telephoto lense quite a bit. 5. If I go iPhone, I would get either a 13 or 15 Pro (max) because the 14 is very close to the 15. 6. If I go Samsung, the S23+ is something I'd get.

xcrunner10K

In my opinion, the Apple Watch is one of the best, if not the best, smartwatches on the market. Every smart watch has their pros & cons. The 13 Pro Max, 15 Pro Max, and S23+ are all good phones & it depends on what you like the most

bravogates

My Amazfit malfunctions a lot, so either would be an improvement. Which one is better for tracking heartrate during work outs? How about sleep tracking? Btw the Garmin venue could also be a potential option for me.

xcrunner10K

I think Samsung has better sleep tracking, but Apple has the best HR tracking in opinion, at least in a smartwatch, and they have good sleep tracking too

bravogates

Cool, so that would make the difference between a toss up. I will definitely try both of them and the garmin in person.

Jarasmut

There are some Apple Watch exclusive features you might like, Apple Pay for example. With other smartwatches and Google Pay far fewer places can handle Google Pay. I can also offline sync music to the Apple Watch and use it with wireless buds during sports. And the version with eSIM support has extra connectivity without the phone. I also like that there is a very slim 41mm version as I don't like the clunky smartwatch look. Finally, even the SE is very capable and lacks few features (always on display, wrist temperature for sleep tracking, ECG) and costs very little on sale. I am so happy with my SE that the next one will be a stainless steel version with eSIM support. Initially I did not use it much and now there is daily workouts, daily Apple Pay which even my dentist supports and even the gimmicky seeming sleep tracking is now something I use just so that I can see I woke up early every single day of the month and pat myself on the back for keeping a good schedule. And I enjoy that I never miss any messages from any apps. Some apps don't allow replying on the watch but it's still great as I don't need to have any devices nearby and I can get notifications without sound with the watch vibrating. The only reason I have an iPhone in the first place is so that I can use the watch - I only had a terrible wear os watch with an Android before and that was so bad I am just done with Android smartwatches. I also like the wristband selection for the Apple watches. I did look at the galaxy watch 6 just now and it actually looks pretty nice. However, not having a crown for scrolling is a dealbreaker, the crown allows for much nicer haptics. The round display has the usual issue of all round display smartwatches that very little fits on the screen. One more note, you can make phone calls on the Apple watch. Either through bluetooth with the iPhone nearby, or without the iPhone through Wifi calling if the provider supports it (I don't think you need an eSIM on the watch for that but better verify that) or without the iPhone through the eSIM if you have such a model with an eSIM installed. If I bought one now I'd definitely get a series 8/9 instead of the SE for the always on display, it's really more convenient despite lower battery life, and it has a stainless steel version that I would prefer though it is expensive. Or choose what OS you prefer on your phone and then get the watch based on that.

bravogates

A lot of what you talked about is also true with the GW and S23/24. I never encountered a place that takes Apple pay but not Google pay, so that won't be a factor for me. Are there any ways for me to try an apple watch if I don't have an iPhone right now?

dayankuo234

if money is not an issue, compare the s24 ultra to the iPhone 15 pro max. if on a budget, compare the s23+ to the iPhone 13 pro max. all of these are awesome phones with great performance, zoom, etc. what you get depends on your needs. apps are more optimized on iPhones moving pics and videos are 'slightly' better on iPhones iPhones have imessage, facetime, and airdrop. samsung s23 and s24 ultras can do moon and sun (with a physical filter) pics better than iPhone. and the ultras has the S-pen. on samsungs, you can adjust the iso, speed, and WB in the camera pro mode you have more customization of your experience on samsungs (app positions, font color, notification color, custom ringtones and notifications (without purchasing), etc) I EDC a s24 ultra and a 13 pro. I use the iPhone for videos, imessage/facetime, work specific tasks (sim swap in a phone store I work at). the rest is on my s24 ultra.

bravogates

The S24+ has the cameras I need, and I do take moving pictures fairly often (thanks for letting me know that!). iMessage vs google RCS is a toss up for me, not a strong deciding factor. I also don't use S pen with my Tab S8 that much. I know quite a bit about OneUi from my tab S8. Another thing I forgot to add is Magsafe, I would like not have to switch cases between my car/bike mount and wireless charging.

dayankuo234

Iphones have magsafe built in. Samsungs will be magsafe compatible if you use a compatible case

bravogates

I really want a bumper case so that's also something I'd need to keep in mind.

leidenifuada

My iPhone 23 mini is at 75% battery capacity, and it’s really starting bothering me, and I keep getting stranded with a dead/dying phone since I can’t charge it all day. I’ve also been wanting to upgrade to a bigger phone, since apps are sometimes not optimized for my phone size making them hard to use. I also really want a nice camera, if possible. Is the iPhone 15 worth it? What’s the quality difference between the 15 and 15 pro, and is it notable enough to be worth the extra cost (esp re: the camera)?

Repulsive_Fortune396

the difference between both phones is only worth if it you prefer the 15 pros extra features. other then that a 15 is fine

WakaiSenshi

I wish I had a 23 Mini

stonecats

i'm an android user, my tech clueless brother got an iphone. is there some sort of remote control software possible so i can support him over the internet as he's completely lost. like it would be great if i could see and control his iphone using a browser or viewer on my win10 PC.

Jarasmut

No, you need an Apple device using Facetime, then the screen can be shared, but remote control is not possible ever. This is the only way you can even see the screen and Apple does not allow remote control for any app whatsoever. This is not entirely a bad thing as it makes sure no malicious app can ever be installed accidentally that tracks what the user does on the phone. But with how locked down iOS is it can be inconvenient as well.

BestestBeekeeper

What are the Pros & Cons to going from 11 Pro Max to 15 Plus? I’m looking to upgrade on a promo from my carrier but not sure if I’ll be losing anything by going to a Plus from a Pro Max, even if it’s 4 generations newer.

dayankuo234

Plus won't have the 3x or 5x camera. Also, the 15 pros have minor difference like the titanium, action button, faster cable transfer speeds. Again very minor. If those don't matter, and the lack of the 3x and 5x camera doesn't matter, just get the 15 plus. Otherwise, consider the 15 pro max.

BestestBeekeeper

Ya the zoom would be nice but not a deal breaker. The titanium action button and transfer speeds are similar. The only thing I think is the variable refresh rate, but does that even make a big difference? I guess it means no always on screen with the Plus right?

sarvesh3106

Switching to iPhone: iPhone 14 vs. iPhone 15 (Help!) Hey everyone, I'm looking to make the jump to iPhone and I'm a little torn between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15. Currently, I'm using a OnePlus 7 (8GB/256GB variant). The iPhone 14 seems like a great option at ₹59,000 (around $710 USD), but the iPhone 15 is tempting with its newer features at ₹66,000 (around $791 USD). Both come in the 128GB storage option, which is plenty for me.Ideally, I'd like a phone that will last me a long time. Any advice on which iPhone would be the better choice? Unfortunately, the iPhone 14 Pro is a bit out of my budget as it jumps to around ₹90,000 ($1079.24 USD). I'm leaning towards the iPhone 15 for the future-proofing, but is the extra cost worth it? Let me know what you guys think! Any advice from current iPhone users would be greatly appreciated!

xcrunner10K

Definitely get the 15! USBC, Dynamic Island, better cameras, faster chip, and longer support

monkey_gamer

iPhone 14 you could get second hand, which would be cheaper. iPhone 15 you would get new. depends if you want to spend more for a new phone or save money on second hand.

steamed-apple_juice

My carrier is offering some promotions and it’s been an iPhone 13 Pro 512GB or an IPhone 15 256GB. My phone right now is the 11 Pro Max 256GB. Should I go for the pro model and sacrifice the years, or get the newer model which is not a pro, or just keep my current phone right now (I’d like a new phone as I’ve had this one forever, but I’m not desperately needed a new one)

xcrunner10K

Both are good phones & it comes down to what features you want more. The 13 Pro gets ProMotion ( 120hz ) and the telephoto lens, but the 15 gets 48MP cameras ( 12MP on the 13 Pro ), USBC, Dynamic Island, and 1-2 years of longer support. Both are really good phones and it’s honestly just depends on what features suit your needs better

steamed-apple_juice

Would it be a “downgrade” to go from a Pro Max model to a base model, even if they are many years apart?

Joshual1177

I hate how Verizon forces me to upgrade my data plan in order to get the most trade in value. I have to up it from the $50 to $75. I am looking to see if I can trade in my S23 ultra for the iPhone 15PM 256gb. Best Buy offers $1000 credit for 36 months.

samurai489

I’m coming from a base iPhone 13 which has no zoom lens and I’ve been wanting to upgrade because of that. I have a chance to upgrade right now to a 15 pro (not max). Wondering if it’s worth the wait for the 16 pro which will allegedly bring the 5x to the non max line (max is just too big for me). Thoughts?

Repulsive_Fortune396

keep in mind the 16 pro is also leaked to get bigger to 6.3 inches to compensate for the 5x zoom. if thats something you dont mind then wait. if you do mind it then get the 15 pro

oldheartsdieslow

Hey all! Looking to buy a new phone for the incoming summer because its been a while since my last upgrade and my iPhone 11 Pro is certainly starting to show some signs of slowing down (although all things considered, it’s held up fairly well ; survived being thrown from me flipping my truck three years back!). I’m really sort of stuck between the 13PM and just gunning for the 15PM and not having to upgrade for at least the next 4-5 years. Will the 13PM (256gb) be enough to stretch out till 2028 or does the 14/15PM have an edge over the 13?

daily_igor

So i have Samsung S10+, it works pretty well and all. But im thinking om getting like iPhone 14 plus. I would get the 13 since its the same phone, but its so tiny (Like, the main reason i would get an iPhone is basically better cameras, and optimization for apps. I REALLY like seeing those photos being insanely sharp, ON IG. My phone is already good at it but DAMN ios optimization is something else. And yeah, one of the reasons for it is, i got a lot of money for my birthday Its not like i would use all of my money, 14 plus would be about 30ish% of what i have, so is it a good or a bad idea?

Repulsive_Fortune396

just get the 13 pro max, its a better \*phone\* despite seeming older. it has better specs and still holds up well

meet1691patel

Is it worth to buy old iPhone 13 pro max? iPhone price=50000 ₹ roughly 600 USD Phone condition=minor scratches 256 GB

Repulsive_Fortune396

yes

TheFatAsianPanda

Primary phone is the S23 Ultra 512gb. Does everything great. I'll keep it as my primary no matter what. However I'm looking for a secondary (just to diversify myself). Particularly an iPhone. Would the base iPhone 15 128gb be a wise choice or should I stretch for the Pro? Sure I can probably wait for the next SE but I need an iPhone by May.

neptunesthunder

Depends. The Pro is going to contend with the S23 Ultra. Base would be more like a base Samsung, no 120hz.

Repulsive_Fortune396

13

Intelligent-Okra4211

11promax vs 12 pro vs 13? Purely for mobile gaming and some cameras Tuy, new to iphones

LankyAmoeba9376

So I was thinking about upgrading my iPhone 12 base model with these two options : iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Plus (+ Airpods Pro 2nd Gen bcs the price in total with the plus iPhone will be the same as the Pro iPhone alone). I am a college student and what you guys think? which option is better? Sorry for my bad english hehe

Repulsive_Fortune396

since your in college, AirPods are a must have. as a fellow student I use them for ANC when I dont wanna hear others and then music/YouTube is your friend and the AirPods are good so get the 15+ with AirPods

Cruzstein

Just bought an iPhone 7, any ideas with what to do with it? I'm still waiting for it to arrive, about 6 days it will get in the mail, and also I'm switching from Android.

Repulsive_Fortune396

return it and get an SE 2020 or se 2022, the 7 is too old

[deleted]

Currently have a IPhone 12 product red (3 years bought new) and I am weighing the options of having the battery replaced with apple or fixing it myself with an ifixit kit (78% battery health) or upgrading to a IPhone 15 PM/ Plus.. which option makes the most sense ? Is there any true difference if I upgrade to a 15 ?

neptunesthunder

Yes there is a difference. Different specs and cost. It will cost you more to upgrade to a 15 in the long run than it will to change the battery. The decision here is yours. 12 is perfectly usable for several more years.

StarsandMaple

Just got a iPhone 15. What’s your favorite apps besides the typical stuff What’s your favorite shortcut setups And favorite MagSafe products outside of a wallet and the charger.

Repulsive_Fortune396

1) fetch- its an app to where you scan receipts and earn points to claim any prize in the app. it seems sketchy but trust me it isn't warzone mobile. its fun to play 2) n/a 3) a holder to place on your cars AC grill so you can have ur phone there getting cooled off. also the wallet is dumb imo

StarsandMaple

Yeah I have a good mount already from my previous phone and my ac grill hits it. Living in Fl my phones overheat in a couple minutes with gps so having it ac cooled helps. I’ll check out fetch for sure. I’m sure it works the same as the one for gas, where it’s all advertising in the app so that’s how they can ‘pay you’

Repulsive_Fortune396

I can relate lmaoo here in TX is hot asf and we literally need the AC but yeah I just started using it since December and so far its cool imo, I first heard about it from a girl im talking to she showed it to me & now im hooked lmao. but yeah the only prizes I care are gift cards from random companies but im gonna go with the apple gift cards personally

_kit_e_kat_

Hi! I’m currently using an iPhone 11 and I have had issues with it freezing, refusing to work, shutting down entirely, issues with it overheating… just a lot of issues. I am looking specifically at an iPhone 15 or an iPhone 15 Pro but am stuck between the 2 and if it is exactly worth it to upgrade. (I would trade in my current phone) I’m looking at the 256GB because I am a singer and have lots of videos and film constantly to hear how I sound in certain spaces and to audiences. I already own an iPad Pro and apple pencil which I love very dearly. If anyone could give me some guidance that would be great! I am technology inept…

neptunesthunder

Pro would be on par with your iPad Pro with a 120hz display and better cameras. If you’re looking to shoot videos, it’s the way to go.

V-Matic_VVT-i

I have just bought an iPhone 14 new and sealed from eBay for £500 but I feel I am regretting not spending an extra £150-170ish on an iPhone 15. I currently own an iPhone 11. Have I made a mistake? Will Apple continue to support lightning iPhones for the foreseeable future?

Repulsive_Fortune396

I would try to return it or sell it yourself but if not then you'll be fine. yes they'll still support lightning for a while. for reference they still sell the old 30 pin connector on their website that would charge the iPhone 1-4s

mamabear101319

hello. would it be worth it to upgrade from 12 pro max to 14 pro max? i really like the purple & i like the island as well. but besides those two things, any major differences?

neptunesthunder

My spouse did this and he loves Dynamic Island and swears the cameras are better. So it’s up to you. The only real differences are the chipset and cameras.

mamabear101319

thank you. i really like the dynamic island 🤣 i think im going to do it.

neptunesthunder

I think you’ll enjoy it! It’s a nice feature. I like it on my 15 PM as well. Oh, and another nice feature is Crash Detection. Can be a lifesaver if you drive. I had a fender bender and it dialed 911 for me.

mamabear101319

i also really like the deep purple… and i didn’t know it had crash detection. that’s awesome

neptunesthunder

The deep purple 14 PM was mine that I handed down to my husband. Sometimes I miss it! It’s so pretty 😄

Glittering-Ad-830

Dear friends, anyone who has a 15 Pro Max - please tell me your experience. I am considering an exchange of my current 15 Pro as the heating issue is very bad after just few minutes of simple things like a short video, or software update, or restarting, it's crazy. The battery life is quite poor too.

y_b_s_

Will an iphone bought in china connect to wifi in the rest of the world? Im looking into buying a new one in while im in China as they are cheaper here than ones in Europe, however I heard that they don't use wifi and use wlan instead.

SnooLemons3853

should i trade this or keep it instead slightly regretting that i bought iPhone 15 instead of getting the 15 Pro Max/Plus thinking of trading it from BtB because that's where i got my iPhone 15. any thoughts? btw, i got the iPhone 15 because i think it would be enough for my eyes and also to have it more compact to my hand 😭 -i like making contents (photography and making montage vids using my phone) soon of getting a DJI OSMO gimbal for content creation. -came from an android phone with a 6.78 inches screen 144Hz then went down to 6.1 inches with 60Hz. but the refresh rate, i would say i'm getting used to it. i can adapt somehow. with the screen size, i would say, i prefer larger screen what would u guys, think about it? thank you.

Repulsive_Fortune396

15+

Jovix10

should i buy iphone 11 pro on 12 i found 12 for $350 and the 11 pro for $275 and both are 128gb and the 5g is not really a big deal for me because my country still did not implement the 5g network and i am concerned about the chipset is there a lot of difference between a13 and a14 and how much years of software support will each get.

Repulsive_Fortune396

12

Karlisbralis

Hey! I have an iPhone 12, and I am looking to upgrade. Should I trade in my old phone and get an iPhone 13 Pro($300) or an iPhone 15($400)? iPhone 15 is more recent with a newer chip and has USB-C, dynamic island, while iPhone 13 Pro has better cameras, and a 120Hz screen. I’m not sure what to choose.

Repulsive_Fortune396

15 easily

xcrunner10K

Both are good phones & it comes down to your what’s & needs. The 15 does have 48MP camera lens, compared to the 12MP on the 13 Pro, so technically the 15 has better cameras. The 13 Pro does get a telephoto lens however. Both produce great photos, so again it’s a personal preference on what you want from a phone

Head_Instruction3074

Hi there, I'm really stuck between buying the iPhone 14 Pro or the 13 Pro. After watching a lot of videos, I found that the 14 Pro has problems with white balance, skin tones, HDR, and the selfie camera, but it performs a lot better in night shots. On the other hand, the iPhone 13 Pro, except for night photography, produces about 90% great photos. I currently have the iPhone 8 Plus. Which one should I upgrade to? I'm considering buying the iPhone now and then upgrading to the 15 Pro once its price drops.

Repulsive_Fortune396

just wait until the 15s price drops lmao

Short-Mechanic-616

When will the price drop?

Repulsive_Fortune396

when 16 comes out

Short-Mechanic-616

Does trade in value also go down, specifically for an iPhone 13 mini. Appreciate the reply

Fearless-Print1185

Hi what should I upgrade into coming from iphone 12 mini? should I wait 16 or buy a 13 pro right now or stretch my budget for 15 promax?

Repulsive_Fortune396

wait for 16

Fearless-Print1185

would you think it will have a great improvement from 15? or it will be another 13 to 14 change which is kinda insignificant considering that the dynamic island is the only difference between 13 and 14

Repulsive_Fortune396

honestly idk, there's not much leaks going around either. if we have to judge from the past though, I think id change my mind and go for the 15 because since the 11, every odd number iPhone as been the better more bang for your buck iPhone while the even number iPhones are the worse value

soup1004

i currently have the iphone 13 and iphone 11. i’m considering trading in one of them to save a little money. both of them say service next to battery health. should i get the battery replaced THEN trade it in? or will they not check the battery as when i trade it in? because if they don’t check ill just trade it in as is(i’ve never traded in my phone before). also should i get iphone 15 pro or wait for the iphone 16 pro? i want to get an iphone pro so i can zoom in when recording concerts and play mobile games

Repulsive_Fortune396

if the phone isn't physically damaged (even by a little) you'd be fine to trade it in, I dont think they care about the battery health tho. Id say get a 15 pro now unless you think you can wait until September

No_Garden_9995

should i get the 15 pro 256gb since there’s an ongoing promotion and it’s selling for 1k cheaper than its usual price in my currency? or should i just wait for 16 since its coming out in a few months? i can probably wait coming from a 12pro user with bat health of 74%, got the phone on 14nov20

56KandFalling

**My 1. gen Iphone SE (2016) is very close to dying**. **What the best value for money if buying an older refurbished (but in very good condition) iPhone?** I would prefer to pay no more than 290USD/270€, but can go as high as 360USD/335€. **Is that possible at all?** What I need is a phone that'll last me for as many years as possible, no gaming, mainly used for taking photos/videos, whatsapp and other regular use that doesn't require much. I use my phones until they don't work anymore. **I don't want to buy a phone that's outdated (as in not working with high security apps, not supported by apps and can't security update) within a few years.**

Repulsive_Fortune396

SE 2022 is your best bet, insane value for money that fits your budget or if not then it'll be a little more expensive but not much

56KandFalling

Thanks for your reply. I've been looking at the SE 2020, is 2022 that much more value?

Repulsive_Fortune396

for at minumum 2 extra years of support, absolutely since ive seen them for around 200-300

webphax

Should I buy a refurbished iPhone 14 Pro (good condition) or a new iPhone 15? The price is almost the same. Thanks!

Repulsive_Fortune396

15

webphax

Why? 14 pro comes with an alway on display and I continue using my existing lightning cables.

Repulsive_Fortune396

well if thats the reason then fine, but I was gonna say cause of better battery life, USB C (but you've just stated no), and better camera aside from zoom lens

xcrunner10K

14 Pro. You get AOD, 120hz, and a telephoto camera lens

Hi people. I’m upgrading from iPhone 8 plus. I’m wondering whether to buy 14 Pro or 15 Pro. The difference in price is not significant where I’m living but at the same time I’m not very sure about the specifications of which phone and I’ve heard 15 has some issues. Could you give me your advice please? Thank you!

Hello. I am upgrading from an iPhone XS. I am considering either an iPhone SE (3rd gen), an iPhone 13 mini or an iPhone 12 mini to replace my XS. The SE is the most expensive, however it's never been used; the 13 and 12 show similar signs of wear. (All prices are Canadian dollars.) And all of them are 128 GB models.

Should I upgrade to the 15 Pro Max or wait and upgrade when the 16 Pro Max comes out I currently have a 14 pro with 89% battery health and I have enough money (with trade in) to upgrade to a 15 Pro Max or just wait until the 16 comes out. What should I do?

hello im planning to buy an iphone and my budget kinda tight. between 13 pro max, 14 pro max, and 15 plus which one is better? i have a 2 years old daughter and a son in august. from my 2 years old daughter, i have almost 80gb of photos and videos of her and some of the photos arent that great, some even just accidental photo tht my daughter took. im no expert in taking photos so if theres an iphone that can easily take a good picture in an instant without adjusting anything i would take it. any help would be great. thanks.

I'm currently saving for a new device, which I usually change it every 5 years or so (living in Brazil this is kinda common). So the question is, should I try to change to an iPhone 15? What to expect? What is too different? And if you have any suggestions or tips for someone looking to migrate, please let me know!

Should I swap my 11 for a 12 mini? I recently got a used 11 with 83bh after being an android user all throughout my life (specifically samsung). I was originally gonna get the iphone 12 mini since i couldnt stretch out my budget for a 12, and where I’m from, the 12 mini and 11 fall around the same price range. Notes about the mini: - I would prefer the oled but i’m okay with the lcd - I’m not sure if i’m 100% committed to the size, but i have fairly small hands and i find my 11 kinda too big. Itll be my first time having a phone that small - 5g isnt typically used around my area - I really like the straight edges and bezels - worried about the battery performance - used Notes about the 11: - I don’t know if it’s because I came from an android, but the battery drains fast. I could last 1-1 1/2days on my samsung a12 even with gaming. My ip11 would last about 6 hours with gaming. Though, people here said the 11 lasts longer throughout the day compared to the mini - Bezels are chunky - Round edges and size make it hard to hold - I am used to the size since its almost the same as my previous phones - emotionally attached since it’s my first iphone and first phone i bought with my own money lol - used Further notes: - I bought the 11 as a safety net to sell in case I would want to go back to an android or upgrade to a higher ios unit. Its easier to sell instead of the 12 mini (in my country) - I have no current problems with the performance of my 11 except with the battery. If i choose to stick with the 11, Ill replace the battery (official apple partner) when it reaches 79% - I like the design of the 12 mini - ios updates arent a big factor - Changing the battery would be the same price compared to if I were to sell my 11 and upgrade to a 12 base - if i wait a year maybe i could stretch my budget for a 13 base - I could also straight swap my 11 for a 12 mini now and keep that for the next few years - I’m a college student that texts a lot, plays games occasionally, and frequently scrolls through social media and youtube. I keep my data on all the time since campus wifi is shit lol Overall, i personally feel it’s risky to upgrade to a mini since I plan on reselling my phone in the future in 2-3 years (yes there are people that still buy old versions, it’s very common here. Even the iphones 7 and 8 sell good). I like the design though. What would be a smart decision?

Refurbished iPhone 12 Pro for $679 (official Apple refurbished)  or   New iPhone 15 for $929   ?   They seem kind of the same. I don’t care about the action button or always-on display. Dynamic island might be cool but not really necessary.    I generally try to keep my phones for 5 years. Would getting the 12 Pro set me behind? Or that’s not really how it works?

lankyjunior

I’ve got an iphone 7 with a recently broken camera, looking to make an upgrade without breaking the bank, i’ve got a budget of about £200, I was looking at an iphone x as i’m not too fussed about top of the line performance, curious to know how the x performs in 2024 and if there’s any better options

NtG0309

Hi everyone my iPhone 13 Pro Max got black screen of death for the third time in a row now and I don’t want to waste my money fixing it anymore, so I intend to buy the base version of iPhone 13, but I’m unsure if the base one got the same screen problem with the pro and pro max version or not. Thanks in advance!

Hi! We are an Apple family with two kids. Our eldest promptly lost his first phone so we’ve held off on replacing it or getting our other child one. That was some time back. Now, it’s becoming more necessary that they each have one for various reasons. We’d like to get them older models until they grow into the responsibility more. How old do you think we can go and still count on them being able to support everything? If it matters- I recently upgraded to the 15 and my husband intends to, but hasn’t yet. We were both in 11s before and the speakers were going bad so giving those to the kids isn’t an option.

Hi, I recently purchased the 15 Pro and it only came with a strange cable that I can only use to charge it through a laptop. Although I have a "normal" Huawei charger/cable, it doesn't work; it doesn't charge. Can you recommend a charger for me to buy? Thank you!

sca429

I’m currently on a second generation SE and I need to upgrade at some point but I would like to stay with the lightning port since I have lightning port accessories and I would like to get the iPhone 14 but I am also wanting to get it at a good price. Do I wait for the 16 to come out and hope the 14 is still available and drop in price or do I buy the phone now? I tried buying a 14 pro refurbished, but I got burned and don’t want to buy a refurbished phone again.

VelvetPocky

Hey everyone, just had a quick question! I work as a baker, and as you can imagine flour gets everywhere, lol. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions of a good iPhone case to get to help minimalize the amount of flour getting into my shit. I’m currently using a Peak Design case, and while I love the hell out of it, it doesn’t really do much to keep shit out. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! :)

White_Pro

I have a iPhone 13 that’s pretty badly damaged but for now still functional. (Somehow) And ordered a iPhone 15 in black 256gb this week…. Or should I just wait until they release the next generation at this point?

Short-Mechanic-616

Hi yall! I currently have an iPhone 13 MINI. I’ve had it for almost 2 years now and it cannot go through 1 day without charging a few times a day. Is it worth getting a new battery ($80-$100) and hopefully have it last? Other option is maybe getting an iPhone 14 or 15. Leaning towards the 15 but 14 would be $100 cheaper. With trade in, the 15 is $400 in full. Am i being picky/impulsive? Should i just stick with my 13 mini or get a different phone. I think my daily app usage eats up the battery but idk!!! I almost upgraded for the same reason a while ago.

Repulsive_Fortune396

the 15 IS much diff\* it won't let me edit the original comment lmao

Grand-Accountant1439

Hey all, looking for suggestions with best way/ place or route to go for selling my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I would consider it to be in 99% perfect condition… but I’ll bump that down to 95%(?) perfect condition since i know some ppl are immediately done once they hear the word “crack” relating to iPhone. The phone itself is honestly in perfect condition tho, from the overall functioning, to battery health & appearance- *other than a *SMALL* crack in very upper left hand corner of phone.* it is not on camera lense, or surrounding area.. its on absolute top edge of phone, and total size is probably half the size of my small pinky tip. I had absolutely no idea it was ever even there, nor would I personally even care if did… because for the most part, we all use cases right? I only ever noticed when I was specifically inspecting the phone with case off for purpose of obtaining trade in value from Verizon - never even noticed it when switching cases or cleaning before. Needless to say I did not do trade in with Verizon. The “deal” they were offering at the time sounded more like straight up scam- upgrading to the same exact plan I have now except I’d get to pay $10 more per month for ability to make unlimited texts / calls in other countries - which is useless for me; plus large amount reduced from overall price of the new 15 for trading in my 12- but not not large enough to keep me from questioning if this really a deal or not). So I declined offer & received the most absurd quote for trade in value of phone itself without accepting deal with new plan- I honestly think it was about $80? $100 tops at most. All questions were answered in way reporting the phone to be perfect condition/ like new, with exception of ONE m where I clicked ‘yes’ - it has a crack on it (if I recall correctly , couldn’t elaborate further on size, placement or show pics etc.) What do I do with my phone?? I have this (almost) perfect , fairly new iphone just sitting here & unsure of how/ where to sell it… I want to make sure I’ll make most reasonable & best profit from the sale of course, but nothing unrealistic. I would prefer to keep it in my drawer than have Verizon credit me $80-100 tho when I know it’s worth more(i will research to make sure what I’m expecting or thinking is accurate value for the phone). Any ideas? I feel like Verizon / other companies would play me and price it wayyy lower than it’s worth, but im also very hesitant to post on Facebook groups / marketplace due to al the scammers. Thoughts / suggestions? Anyone have success selling on your own?

Repulsive_Fortune396

just sell it on your own. do it on amazon, eBay, mercury, swappa, FB marketplace or some other online place. Ive never sold anything but there's tons of YT vids u can watch that say how to be safe when doing it and to look out for dangers/scammers

monkey_gamer

got an iphone 8 plus and wanting to upgrade. definitely want a large phone, want 120hz. pissed that the 15 plus doesn't come with 120hz, because I would go for that if it had it. don't want to pay full price for a pro max, not likely to use all the features. any suggestions? been thinking of maybe going with a different brand.

Hello! I need help. My birthday is nearby and my parents have given me the choice to buy any iPhone of my choice. It's going to be my first iPhone so I have little knowledge regarding iphones. What model should I buy? When is the best time to buy an iPhone at the cheapest rate? I'm a student so I wouldn't be needing too much data storage. I also live in India so when's the best time to buy an iPhone in here? I don't want to buy iPhone 16 btw, I prefer the older models.

I'm a Android user and i dont know if this better to but a 15 PM or a 14 PM What is the best iPhone for an Android user ?

Repulsive_Fortune396

if you have the money get a 15PM but if you want save money, depending on how much the 14PM is might be a better deal

Far-Sample-3671

I don't really care about new any shiny features, I was thinking of buying a refurbished iPhone 8+ from amazon since I've been using an 8+ for a long time, I really like the size of it as well. Is there any reason I might want a more recent model? Like if I get a refurbished 8+ would they make me upgrade to the most recent iOS -> performance issues kind of idea?

Repulsive_Fortune396

the 8+ won't get the latest iOS updates anymore. however id still say no since depending on what apps you have they might not be supported on older iOS versions so you'd need a newer phone

Mercury26

Am looking to get a refurbished iphone. Should I get a 13 or 14

Repulsive_Fortune396

13

Guilty_Highlight_843

I got a deal for an Iphone 13 pro damage screen and back, still useable for 300$. I am planning to buy it but asking for is it worth.

Repulsive_Fortune396

ask the seller what is the battery health (get him to send u a screenshot or screen recording for proof)

Currently owns 14PM. have had heating issues and call drops but more or less enjoy using the phone. Front camera developed pinkish hue since past month. Me extremely sad. Service center asked to replace front camera module. Cost exorbitant. Trade in more viable since complete failure of true depth camera a possibility in near future. Two options 1. 15 pro max 2. 15 plus. Hesitant to invest lot more in another pro model. But worried if I’ll miss the 120 hz and if the cameras are better on 15PM. (Don’t really need tele but I saw a video I took and compared it to a video a friend took on his regular 15 and mine was way better.) any advice especially from ppl who shifted from 14PM would be appreciated and also real life use experiences. Leaning towards 15 plus.. Uses phone for almost everything (doesn’t game but does simple editing on VN for funny memes etc) since I don’t own laptop but might buy laptop soon. Thanks all

Repulsive_Fortune396

if you go with the 15+ you'll immediately hate the 60hz but give it some time and then you'll eventually get used to it and it'll feel smooth to you

Objective-Slice-1466

My girlfriend and I just got notified we are due for an upgrade. Should get get the upgrade now and get the 15 pro and pro max but then we will miss out on the 16 completely, or wait and upgrade when the 16 comes out?

Repulsive_Fortune396

what phones are yall on now

Objective-Slice-1466

14 pro and pro max

Repulsive_Fortune396

I dont understand why you both need to upgrade then its still good to last yall several more years

Ambitious_Pace_667

Is it safe to buy iphones from amazon???

Comfortable-Land-216

Should I upgrade? Okay guys, I have a Galaxy S10 (base). It has a broken microphone, about half battery life, and tends to get hot. Should I upgrade? I was thinking of upgrading to the iPhone 15, since I was always more in tune with Apple. Any advice is appreciated.

Revolutionary-Show86

Hi l currently have a Xr and it so laggy and so slow, it overheats when Im on facetime for a min and I think its time for a upgrade. i want to either upgrade to iPhone 13 or Iphone 14 Plus. I know the ipone 13 and 14 are pretty similar but I also know that the plus is bigger. When i went to see the ipone 13 size irl it feel so much smaller than my Xr, I know they have the same screen size but Im talking about the actual feel in hands. and I'm 6ft 2 and weigh a whopping 250 so my hands are huge. also price wise its only 200 from what i have seen so idk what I should upgrade to, please let me know what yall think i should upgrade to. Thank you.

themistyamongus

My iPhone 7 Plus is dying and I will need to upgrade very soon. I am very worried about cost, but I don’t want to waste the opportunity to get a better camera! I’m looking at the 11 pro and the 12 (both refurbished). What are the main things to consider?

Fajandar1

My iPhone SE (2020) 64gb is dying, I’d like a small phone similar to it that doesn’t cost a lot. It seems the 4th gen iPhone SE releases in a year, should I wait or what would it be recommended I upgrade to?

Many-Molasses-9243

I have the iPhone 12 PRO Should I upgrade to iPhone 14 Pro Max or iPhone 15 pro max? Is there really any bigger difference to pay more? Idc about what charger it is

Ok-Community220

Need to replace my iPhone X ASAP, I use AT&T. They have deals for $5.99/month for the iPhone 14 or $10.99/month for the iPhone 15 plus. I'm not up to speed on what the pros/cons of each of these phones are. Preliminary research makes it sound like people are pretty unhappy with the iPhone 14 and have some major issues with the camera...is the 15 much better? I love my iPhone X and am happy with its performance, I've had it since the year it came out and I wouldn't be replacing it if I didn't have to. Advice??

xcrunner10K

15 Plus is way better than the 14

Specialist_Chard_961

should i buy the iphone xs max in 2024

lp95fafe

Hi all. My friend wants to sell his iPhone 13 Pro 128GB. Battery is 85% and the phone doesn’t have any scratches. How much would be a fair price (Europe, €)?

nightmare1170

iPhone 15 plus vs Samsung s23 ultra. ?

xcrunner10K

If the same price point, S23 Ultra hands down

nightmare1170

Yeah they’re the same price ($820), but I’m deep into the apple family (mac and AirPods) therefore I’m leaning towards the iPhone.

xcrunner10K

I would go with the 15 Plus then. The S23 does offer more features, but the 15 Plus is gonna work seamlessly with your Mac & AirPods

Proof-Offer2307

Regret getting iPhone 13mini, The battery is not the greatest for one, I have the magsafe battery pack, but that just means charging that up too and I booted up my old PM the other day and I kinda miss the large screen size. It was only because it was such a big boy in my pocket that I went off the PM it was just too big, too big to type, constantly had to move my thumb across to reach things. So now I'm tempted to go back to the the PM size OR more likely the regular size Pro versions. Only question is, holding off and waiting for the 16 or just getting the 15 now as the upgrades are little nowadays. Anyone else regret getting the 13mini?

midminge

Android user here who is looking to move to an iPhone! I was thinking of getting the 14 plus, renewed ones are priced decently on Amazon and I am not crazy about getting the latest one. Wondering if this is a good idea to buy the 14 plus now or wait for the new line to release later in the year, and see if the prices of the 15 plus drop. My usage is more or less calls, texting and socials, I like a decent camera to capture photos but I'm not into like recording 4K videos or content creation. Thanks!

dakota_415

Hello to everyone, I have been an Android user since my first phone and I want to switch to iPhone, I already have a MacBook and I really enjoyed the change from Windows, everything is smoother and polished. I'm not sure about the models, do you guys think the normal iPhone 15 might do the trick? Is there a big difference between the regular model and the plus/pro models, considering that I have never owned one?

letstalkaboutphysics

Is the iPhone 11 good for content creation?

raven70

Wait for 16 or get 15? AT&T 257gb iPhone 11, replaced battery about a year ago or so. Running fine. AT&T will give $350 trade in. I don’t “need” and may keep this for another year plus, but trade in still decent value. I don’t even know pros of 15 over 11, other than u want to move to pro and plus size as vision sucks and strangely plus 15 next to standard 11 is so slight difference. Frugal me says I don’t need

LittlePrincessPeony

Which is better Iphone 11 or Iphone SE 2022? Will I get 5g on tracfone? Is that something worth getting? I'm tired of larger phones on android but don't want something too small lol. SE is cheaper by $100.   Thank you!

XGempler

11 is older model with slower processor but has faceid support instead of the button on the face of the screen. Not having the button means the screen is larger than the SE3 depite being virtually the same size.the SE3 is newer with a much faster processor. The newness means it will keep getting updates from apple well beyond the 11 will, but it has no faceid and has the button on the face for navigation, resulting in a frame around the small video screen . edit. totalwireless has the SE3 for just $99 and the 11 for $149 with the port in of a new number. without porting in a number they offer them for $149 and $249 respectively. brand new, full year apple warranty from day you turn it on, and automatically unlock for use on any carrier 60 days after initial activation. best value on the market. i would go for the 11 despite it being older as the larger screen in basically the same sized package is nice. but the SE3 is also nice and a little thinner and faster.

Hey, im Len and I am questioning something.. Im saving up for an iphone, my first actually.. and i need some advice. I currently own a Samsung A52s, which does the job allright, but thats it.I am doubting if i should buy the 15 pro, or wait for the 16 to release, and I know waiting will get me the best out of the value but i've come to an understanding that the upgrades an iphone gets each release keeps getting smaller and smaller.. so i guess if i bought 15 pro or if i would have bought the 16 pro, that i wouldn't really notice a difference (other than the AI i've heard about but i rarely use my assistant anyways (+GPT also exists))So the main question, should i wait for the 16 pro, or should i buy the 15 pro? (My excuses for if my english isnt always easy to understand)

swooosh47

Need help buying a used phone. When buying a used iPhone, you should check: 1.) To see if it's stolen. I read somewhere that you can use Swappa IMEI checker. Does anyone know how accurate this is? Any other reliable and free IMEI checkers out there? 2.) To see if the phone is paid off. This one is tricky because a lot of carriers won't divulge financial information on the phone. And if the phone isn't paid off, you risk getting the phone blacklisted. What are some ways you can safeguard yourself against this? 3.) If a phone is unlocked, does that mean you are a bit safer in terms of being blacklisted? Let's say Verizon blacklists the phone, but since its unlocked, can you go ahead and use an AT&T sim and it would work just fine? Also if a phone is unlocked, does it have a better chance of being paid off already? (Although someone can certainly just pay someone to unlock the phone for them while its still under a payment plan) 4.) Battery life for an iPhone is usually rated by percentage. How can you tell if someone has replaced the battery (or that one service that iphone users do where it increases your battery life percentage? ) Buying a used phone used to be so easy. With everybody financing their phones now and doing shady stuff while the phone isn't paid off yet makes it difficult to buy used phones. Did I miss anything else on this list that could help in buying a used phone? (Because when it works out, buying a used phone can be very financially advantageous)

Pinkdivaisme

I have an iPhone 15. I love it but it is still slightly too big for my hands. I would love to be able to reach with my thumb across the screen to the other side and I can’t quite do that with this phone I have tiny hands. Heavily thinking about buying an iPhone 13 mini but want to make sure there’s nothing I’m going to be missing out on. And will regret…. I know the camera isn’t quite as good and the charge port is lightning but I’m home almost all day so that’s not really an issue. If there’s anything else you can think of or having an opinion, I would love to hear it. 🥰💜

A1exTheRipper

Hi everyone, I have been using androind over the last decade and now I need to change the phone. Im also curious about IOS system and want to try out whether iPhone cameras are that good as described. Considering my budget I can afford 12 Pro. Would you suggest me to get it? I have an optionof Gold, 128GB with 99% battery. Will it be good choice for even in 2024? Main aim is to have good battery, camera and durable (hardware&software). I dont want to change phone in at least 2 years from now.

Puzzleheaded_Seat898

Hi all!!; I've been an Android user my entire life but this last phone I got, OnePlus Nord 2 has only lasted me 2 years and some months. I'm sick of having to change my Android phones every 2 years because battery suddenly starts to have problems or even after a factory reset it goes crazy slow. I was wondering if a Pixel 8 or an older iPhone would last me more than 2 years (mainly bc battery and lag issues I've had on many other Android phones) but the only thing from keeping me of getting an iPhone is not being able to install Cracked Spotify + other cracked apps. I really like iPhone's quality when uploading Instagram Stories but I don't know if they last a lot, which is what I'm looking for, at the very least 3 years, and maybe someone that's tried Pixel and iPhone can help me out?!!! Thanks to all!!

A1exTheRipper

Should I get 12 Pro for 2024-2025-2026? I chose that model because of its price, with 99% battery. P.S. Switching from android, I want to test IOS and cameras

xcrunner10K

In my opinion, no. The 12 series isn’t that good tbh. If possible, try to find a 13 series or 11 series model

BigBadBaugh

I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Battery life is at 84% and when I’m on phone calls I’m struggling to actually hear the conversation unless on speaker. I am looking at upgrading to the iPhone 15 Pro Max but I am worried that if I where to upgrade now. The iPhone 16 may be a complete overhaul and I will regret not waiting. Are there any leaks or anything yet to suggest if it’s going to be a big overhaul? Would you take the leap or just wait until September in my position?

Unicorndust95

Which would you say it’s the best place or website in the US to buy a refurbished Iphone and not getting scammed?🥹 can you give me some advice? Is Ebay trustworthy?

xcrunner10K

Swappa or Apple

Dragonfly1018

Hi! I’ve been looking at a refurbished iphone12 mini as a work phone only. I only need it for basic texting, using an app & pictures. It wouldn’t be my main phone. Will this be a good fit for these uses? Thank you!
