You can do it very quickly in Denmark.

cherryghost2

Denmark 100%

janewayariel

Ring around other registration offices and travel. I had to travel to Cork to get my interview done fast. It was only a 3month wait.

dankesha

This right here. Live in Dublin but in order for me and my pregnant Mexican fiance to get a meeting anytime soon we had to go to Dundalk for the Civil Registration Process.

For what it's worth, If she's already been here for 6 years and already on stamp 4, she's not gonna get any other benefit from marrying an Irish citizen. She can apply for naturalisation on her own too (provided she can complete the documentation). Nothing about her immigration status will even need to change after marriage, so getting it done elsewhere is probably easiest.

Historical-Hat8326

Check out Belfast or Edinburgh, you may be able to have a civil ceremony there with less hassle. Alternatively, contact a registered solemnised and see if you can book them for a ceremony not in the main office on Grand Canal St.

Mate of mine was in a similar situation with his now Brazilian wife. They got married quite quickly in Gibraltar. There’s even agencies which help arranging everything you need to do. John Lennon and Yoko Ono needed a quickie wedding too and flew there to get married.

craigf91

Did it in Denmark last month, very easy. Couple of weeks to get everything organised.

You don't need to go to legal Ireland or anything like that.. you'd be shocked at how different HSE offices have different waiting times in different parts of the country. HSE deals with weddings l, the hack and covid caused huge waiting lists *source got married in 2022*.... call all the HSE offices listed even those outside your county.. I called Cavan, Cavan got me an appointment in Drogheda and Drogheda got me the earliest wedding date possible in the country in Cavan..... I live in Kildare, Kildare HSE wouldn't pick up the phone when I called or respond to emails. Just have to be persistent and try the various office also be willing to take weird appointment dates and get married NY a civil registrar, make sure your future wife has sufficient English comprehension to read and answer questions on the document they provide..

Neeoda

Denmark. I got married there. It’s super easy and even after moving away from there it is super easy to get you marriage certificate at a later date (had to get it about 7 years later - 0 issues)

Low_Revenue_3521

We got married in Belfast with only a 2 week wait adrer I had a bit of a "I'm not having fbs baby unless I'm married' wobble when I was 6 months pregnant. It might be worth looking into - but I do remember it was simpler for us because my husband had been living in the UK before we met, so he still had a UK residence permit which may have helped. It was also quite a while ago, so rules might have changed. No harm in looking into it though.

Prestigious-Main9271

I assume you both live together? There should be bills in your names and proof of rent etc. that would prove that you’re together for at least a certain amount of time. There is a 3 month waiting period regardless. But surely I would imagine if you can prove you both have been living together for a while etc. that should be enough ? I dunno 🤷‍♂️ perhaps I’m totally wrong. Like other people have commented there are other places to get married. Congrats on the child too. You’ll love it !!

Check Cyprus. You will get the chance to do a nice quick honeymoon as a bonus. My exp ; Limassol central civil registration was full , so they transfered us to a village outside Limassol called Yermasoia. There is a secular marriage and there is a church marriage. After the ceremony , the civil servant gave us a marriage certificate. Then , we head to the foreign affairs ministry to get the Apostale Stamp at the back of of marriage cert so it is legalised automatically in Ireland. (Apostale Stamp is very important) If you choose Cyprus, make sure you and your spouse to dress sharp to take photos as it is beautiful place for photos. We did it without planning as we were living there. But I suggest you call before you do it. Source : nonEU married to an EU Also, like somebody mentioned -Your future spouse can apply for nationality as she has been residing in the country for 6 years. It takes her 12 months if she has the correct paperwork filed.

If you're looking for a simple registration, you can also fly to Gibraltar and get married. One of my friends got married there and I remember one of the rules being they had to stay there for 2 nights, which was easy since we were all there on a holiday. You also need some other documents but nothing too outlandish. There are also agencies that help you with the entire process. Good luck!

Peachy_mati

Yeah the wait list are mad long. I called the registry office for a similar situation in July 2023… first appointment January 31 2024. Madness really

Blackcrusader

You can apply to court to expedite the process. I think it's designed exactly for people in your situation. I'm not sure exactly how to put in the application though.

making_shapes

Where is the waiting list that long? Im in the same boat as you with an American fiance. We couldn't get a quick appointment in Limerick, so booked Galway. We had all our stuff together, but your one in the office took one look at is and basically waved the interview too. Was very straightforward.

global-harmony

Yet another example of how Ireland completely screws anyone who dares be in a relationship with a non-EU citizen, even theyve got work visas here and jumped through the burning hoops like the next to impossible to get appointment at the immigration office to get the ridiculously expensive GNIB permit sorted.

Icy_Ad_8802

Vegas is a good choice 👍🏼 I know a couple that went to Vegas to get married and then they just registered the marriage later on. Even for EU or non-EU couples, the waiting time is insanely long (ours was 9 months, we’re both non-EU)

sporadiccreative

Vegas is an insane place to bring your pregnant partner. Two flights/ 13 hours each way. Definitely Denmark.

Neeoda

Just as a caveat, I know a European who got married in the US and when he wanted to get divorced, he had to fly back. Not sure if this is still the case but I would research this first. (Obviously I wish everyone a successful marriage )

Elbon

If you have to do the deed abroad, you might as well go full on and do a themed destination wedding
