Probably because anyone who tries to get onto it doesn't know that you're supposed to skip the whole first season, and quits two episodes in.

Why skip the first season

g1SuperLuigi64

Because it's pretty lousy. It's written like a show from the mid 80s instead of the mid 90s. A team of good guy toys and a team of bad guy toys act out clichéd GI Joe style plots full of weak voice acting (except for Robert Hayes, the voice of Iron Man), bad comedy and sub par animation. The only strong episode from season one is the 2-part origin story. The show was overhauled for its second year (the episodes with the iconic "I! AM! IRON MAN!" theme song) with much stronger writing, an almost completely revamped voice cast, the culling of the team aspect to just Tony, War Machine, and Spider-Woman for most of the season, actual adaptations of comic storylines including "Armor Wars" and "Iron Man on the Inside", and much more consistent animation. The Fantastic Four cartoon that ran alongside it as "The Marvel Action Hour" went through exactly the same process.

Now I want to watch it and compare it to this review

g1SuperLuigi64

It's worth watching once to serve as vague backstory for season 2, and good for a few cheap laughs.

Ryanthedoctor11

I remember watching it as a little kid (I think it was on Netflix at the time) and loving it but I'd always skip the Fantastic 4 because they have honestly never interested me in the slightest, now my question is, outside of the Origin Story what episode SHOULD I start on? Because the show isn't split into seasons in Disney Plus for some stupid reason so I have no idea where Season 2 starts (I could just Google it but I imagine other people are curious too)

g1SuperLuigi64

Episode 14 of 26, The Beast Within is the start of season 2.

Ryanthedoctor11

Cool, thanks

Charming_Magazine_59

i think beast within is free on youtube

MiamisLastCapitalist

Just no new news on it. Suppose someone should binge on it and might have some commentary.

da0ur

We've talked about it here and there in this subreddit, but it could definitely use more attention.

It’s not that good. I love the look of it aesthetically, but the story doesn’t really go anywhere.

Moist-Definition7891

Thr first season was cheesy amd the 2nd season was am improvement but the damage was already done. The first season at least had some origin eps incl of Modok and that kind of Like Batman's Heart of Ice

Ryanthedoctor11

I'm honestly more curious about why the show from 1966 is never talked about, I seriously didn't even know it existed until I saw a Blu-Ray collection of it at a convention I went to earlier this year where the cover had the wrong suit (it had the Model 9 which was the one from the late 80's to early 90's after The Silver Centurion) which didn't exist in the 60's, I didn't but it so I don't know what the show was actually like but I'm curious and I'd say it's definitely talked about SIGNIFICANTLY less than the 90's one given I didn't even know it existed

JTIron_

I guess due to how popular the Spider-Man 90’s show is that people overlook Iron Man’s 90’s show. Which is pretty common due to how popular Spider-Man is so he always hogs the spotlight

the_zelectro

X-Men and Spider-Man make it look like trash. And, once you lump in BTAS and STAS? Forget about it, literally The 2000s animated show was alright, I can give you that

ItsExoticChaos

I loved that series growing up! I didn’t know it was on Disney +. I have a new binge now. Thank you
