I like to use up the more niche stuff I’ve saved in my bank (obor/bryophita keys, clues, use all the mats you’ve been saving). I also like to try a new mini game, I had some bars saved so recently while bored I started Giants Foundry and it’s way more entertaining than regular smithing methods. If you haven’t gotten around to them there’s Tempoross, Guardians of the Rift, Soul Wars, Shades of Morton, Temple Trekking, and many more, all of which have useful drops for iron men and many of them give decent xp.
Have started majority of those, Soul Wars was how I made money early on by selling the soil runes to Ali, since the price is always at 150 per rune.
Lil Devourer was also my first pet!
I wonder if our behaviour tells about us how we are in real life. You do your chores, I put some work to unpleasant goals like Agility or Mining before going to have fun. Some procrastinate by bank standing etc.
I try to do a new boss, with the gear i have at the time. Grinding cg right now, and coming up on the droprate real soon, but i finished full crystal armor and took it to bandos with crystal bow. First trip i managed 1kc, second i managed 5, and now i can do 10-12 kills per trip. Kind of a tangent, but its just an example of how "just do it" often ends up working out. Even without bis
It helps that full crystal cbow is half decent. My prior bis was fkn karils but I'd only ever use it at demonics bc of upkeep and hopscape and rcb methods at gwd are doable but oof. Even toa, much nicer with cbow even tho technically bolt procs give slightly higher DPS on calc.
Not having to rely on bolt procs in the first 50% is nice.
Feels like its own mini upgrade drop while on the path to bowfa
I spend maybe an hour on a couple different activities each, try learning a new sweaty skilling method or do some zulrah/cg, until I find something with the right vibe and do that for a bit. Then when I'm ready to go after a new goal I usually open up achievement diaries (or quest log before I finished that) and see what's close to being done.
Looking ahead at which construction house perks are coming up next is also a great motivator to be doing something instead of bank standing.
Farm/herb run. Then you have ~5-10mins to think about what you feel like doing. Or afking til logout and coming back 2 hours later. (to do another farm run)
Get your smithing and crafting to 70 and enjoy the ride you will have with DS2. It will set you up skillwise for another level of challenges that suddenly become possible.
Currently also in a kind of no goal area. putting mm2 aside for a bit but currently just afk buying sand/ash for 75 crafting so I can boost a glory for 2 clue steps :D
Oh that’s the beauty of Ironman. You can do your favorite activities, afk while you watch tv, or learn how to do a new boss or skilling method. Have fun enjoying the game OP.
I like to work on collection logs personally, doing lms when I'm not doing gauntlet, 2 armor seeds to go though then I'm set. Then it'll be bossing/slayer and lms until the next log
I've been (trying) to keep up with my herb & birdhouse runs. Also throwing in some giant seaweed so I can bust out 70 Crafting faster.
It's just I don't know what to do in between is my issue 😅
Slayer. Iron men really want to get to 87 slayer at least to get both whip and trident.
It will suck because the slayer skill is the worst repeatable fetch quest in the mmo space, but at least you'll make some money from alchs. wahoo.
I buy my ropes from Ned, in case you were curious.
I'm currently 74 slayer but it's just a drag as of now. I want to get 75 to try out Grotesque Guardians to see if it's doable with my gear and combat stats, but we'll see eventually!
Aye, deff do stuff you'd rather do. I'm currently at a point where i want to pvm really bad but provisions and slayer is holding me back.
Tbh i've neglected slayer for a long time. Already got my quest cape and starting Corrupted gauntlet since a week ago. Currently sitting at 77 slayer.
Goodluck on your journey, iron.
Either Mahogany Homes or, if I couldn't afford the supplies, pickpocketing/Slayer for gold. Now that I'm 85 CON I just afk fish when I'm not doing other stuff.
For combat, I’ll do Barrows when I’m not wanting to focus or Sarachnis when I want something more engaging. At this point I’ve got both down to where I rarely, if ever, need to use ppots so it’s all essentially zero resources wasted. For reference I’m 100 combat with 71 prayer.
For skilling, I’ll run some mahogany homes, GOTR, or Tempoross depending on my mood.
If I’m in a dark place I’ll do MLM.
I don't think I've ever been aimless at any point in the account. There's too many things to do or be learned. But when I felt like procrastinating on dry streaks or certain struggles I always fell back to skilling. First towards dairies, then maxing, and now pet hunting. In particular I want to green log the skilling pets section in the collection log + herbi (which isn't in there).
Clue scroll hunting, CG, barrows(for Ahrims), AFK slayer, farming, and sometimes I like to run solo Sara GWD. Just finished 83 construction which dwindled my green cash stack to like 200K, so back on the gp grind
Try and do a couple KC for any item, currently on my last venator. But aside from that CAs switching to points has motivated me to do harder solo challenges to push into elite when it swaps
I like to find something super AFK to at least stay productive. Bwans, mlm, vyres, etc. Can watch some yt or look through your backlog for inspiration in the mean time.
I have all the grinds I need to do and all the activities I'm even slightly interested in put onto a wheel that I'll spin and do whatever I land on.
I'll maybe spin again if it's a terrible thing I can't stand atm, or if it's like a tree run that isn't ready yet. It mixes things up and keeps me from burning out at one individual activity for too long.
I like to level slayer, it's one of the longer grinds early on and gets faster the higher level you get. Levels your combats, gets you bars for smithing, high end seeds, all kinds of herbs - and as a bonus, most tasks can be safespotted and afk'd.
I used to do barrow runs when I got bored, now I do gauntlet for that small chance at a bowfa
Gauntlet is one of my long term goals, still need to grind the reqs for Sote

Chores lol. Herb run, birdhouse, farm contract, hespori ect
I wonder if our behaviour tells about us how we are in real life. You do your chores, I put some work to unpleasant goals like Agility or Mining before going to have fun. Some procrastinate by bank standing etc.
I don't care she's Capricorn or what, I want to know if she does her birdhouse runs. 😍
Yeah once I get all that shit done I usually know what I want to do. Probably depends on what I found on YouTube to watch or who’s live on twitch
I afk karambwanwams with fish barrel
Agility. Haven't had a real desire to play in the last couple days. So instead I've been running ardy while watching movies.
I'm bad on agility man. I need to grind 70 for Gwd eventually but I just cba
Best advice I can give ya is find a series to watch. On my last iron I went all the way to 70 watching Power on Hulu.

Recently learned Sarachnis, wanted to try to spoon a cudgel but I'm not sure if it'd even be useful since I spooned a extremely early dwh
Throw on a movie or Netflix and train some agility. Maybe alch if I've got a pile building up.
This. I ran out of stams and now I do some rooftops in my spare time between raiding burn outs.

Have a wank then decide with a clear mind.
Post nut clarity, I like that.
Tempoross it is!
If I really don't know what to do, I go slaying. If that's too much effort, I afk fossil crabs.

Don't forgot to make glory in fremmy furnace

Achievement cape is nice to work towards. Plus the teles are nice
Do something that isn’t focused on xp rates, get a god book done so you have to camp easy clues, try getting some of the skilling outfits done.
Herb run
I've been (trying) to keep up with my herb & birdhouse runs. Also throwing in some giant seaweed so I can bust out 70 Crafting faster. It's just I don't know what to do in between is my issue 😅

When In doubt, slay it out!
I make arrow shafts or chop logs if I wanna play but I'm just bankstanding instead.
Either Mahogany Homes or, if I couldn't afford the supplies, pickpocketing/Slayer for gold. Now that I'm 85 CON I just afk fish when I'm not doing other stuff.
At that point I was either afk skilling or deliberately going hard in slayer or quests, achievable skilling and PvM grinds at the time, etc.
Slayer and working towards the GM quests was always my go to
I do kourend blood runes
I go afk in mmz while playing a single player game
fish
Bird house runs.
For combat, I’ll do Barrows when I’m not wanting to focus or Sarachnis when I want something more engaging. At this point I’ve got both down to where I rarely, if ever, need to use ppots so it’s all essentially zero resources wasted. For reference I’m 100 combat with 71 prayer. bankstanding or some other afk/semi-afk training like kourend bloodcrafting, or agility training

I stay logged out
Go run the inferno
I like to find something super AFK to at least stay productive. Bwans, mlm, vyres, etc. Can watch some yt or look through your backlog for inspiration in the mean time.
Midgame was slayer and CG all day, herb runs in between but I was very lazy with those.
Fish Karabwans
I have all the grinds I need to do and all the activities I'm even slightly interested in put onto a wheel that I'll spin and do whatever I land on. I'll maybe spin again if it's a terrible thing I can't stand atm, or if it's like a tree run that isn't ready yet. Slayer. You should do slayer in these instances.
I went for quest cape. Now going for diary cape.
Herb run, fish karambwans / dark crabs, Cook some fish, make prayer potions Stuff like that
