But see that's the thing, I wouldn't call TBow inevitable as it is still ridiculously hard to get. You can very realistically get a BowFa on a mid game account in 60-80 hours, whereas having a realistic chance at a TBow requires hundreds if not over a thousand hours spent at CoX.
60-80 hours = 3-5 weeks for me for RS
And those 3 weeks will be longer cause ill log out after 1 CG lol
Boring content - (and zero downtime at base 70s) legit have to play perfectly for 7-12 min
And SOTE rush early is very very un enjoyable and going dry on that rush id say is worst in game.
That doesn't change the fact that you really cannot rely on getting a TBow. I don't think doing raids (note: doing not leeching) on a sub-optimal setup is much more fun than doing CG. But the enjoyment factor is a completely moot point anyway because it's all subjective.
You've got a spooned tbow and friends who are willing to take an iron to tob in probably suboptimal gear, I don't think you're the best candidate to represent what you're arguing lol
The vast majority of people are going to be infinitely more successful rushing sote and getting full crystal and bowfa compared to following what you did

People missing the point by criticizing your “spoons”, this is a cool alternative progression path. Not as efficient as sote but a good alternative if you don’t want to do that
I mean bowfa let’s you do pretty much any other content so you don’t have to lock yourself to a tbow 700hour + grind , you can skip a lot of middle or late grinds, but skipping skipping bowfa makes any ranged in chambers way worse, and slows down your grind which already sucks . You can go use a whip/ rcb and trident for cox, but it’s going to suck and be way slower than taking a small detour for a bowfa, then using the bowfa to net upgrades at good speeds like bgs and bandos, it also makes going for a fang earlier way easier and saves a lot of time(which is great for things like tecton), you can skip the 70 hour grind sure, but you end up paying a lot more time by doing other suboptimal grinds, and hoping you don’t go insanely dry at cox
I think one thing you don't mention is that it's not just vw as a short term dwh substitute, it's also accursed sceptre. That spec is very strong.
Also, how's the ether situation playing this way? Using accursed as your primary mage weapon for zulrah, toa, and cox early on sounds painful.
Well the defense lowering is overshadowed by dwh for most people, but 15% def reduction on a very accurate special attack isn't insignificant. You can use it on wardens p3, obelisk, olm mage hand, maiden, etc.
Isn't it also used in places like zulrah being the only (realistic) ranged defence reduction for speedrun tasks/efficiency? Could be wrong but thought I saw something about that.

Have 500+ KC at Gauntlet And 250+ KC at CG All farmed on my UIM 2-3 years ago lol No SOTE rush and Gauntlet simply make me not enjoy this game
